They got Freddy. Poor Freddy. Posts: 5,845 Group: Former Monarchs Member #1,038 Joined: May 13, 2007	It's all come down to this. This tournament started with 31, it's now down to 2. In one corner stands a seasoned fighter who just knocked out his own student, and said student was widely considered to be the favorite. In another corner is the dark horse of the tournament, the virtual unknown who is now making a splash. "Alrighty... here we go. Dakoter and Rachel! Report to the ring! Your championship fight will now begin!" [Don't think this'll matter, but three days to start. Also, this fight will last a little longer than normal, given it's the title fight. You have 10 days to fight instead of 7. Good luck to both of you! ^^]

Reluctantly, as usual. "So how have you been?" Rachel asked him on the way to the gate. "Good," the escort replied, ferverently wishing for a garotte wire. "Legs aren't tired?" "Nup." "How's the job been?" "Good." "Everything's 'hunky dory' then?" "Yep." "That's nice, I'm glad to hear that!" "Yep." As they arrived at the end of the tunnel, the guard sighed in relief. Thank God he'd never have to see this overly cheerful nutcase ever again. "Okay," the fox said breathlessly, "Guess this is it!" She turned to the guard, gave him a quick hug and a peck on the cheek, saying "Wish me luck!" then stepped outside. The guard began wishing, not for the fox's fortune, but for her grisly demise.

One paw fell in front of the other, in front of the other, in front of the last. He wasn't his usual self, this round; the last battle had been a bit... depressing... and he hadn't had much time between rounds to even think of talking with the lilac echidna or looking up his own next opponent. He'd caught one of the tournament hands checking the condition of a catch-pole not too long ago. Jeez; he wasn't that rabid... Ignoring the boom of the crowd, he paced halfway to the center of the ring, eyes and ears forward toward the vixen; at least he didn't recognize her. His tailed flicked from one side to the other as he opened his jaws to pant lightly. He had to cheer up; he didn't fit the emo mold very well. With that realization in mind, the wolf's tailed wagged fully, almost going around like a propeller, and he let out his rarely-heard poodle bark again. "Raeyp!" Yeah; he was ready to go!

The closer they got to the middle, the more confident they seemed to be getting. Doubtless Tim would have remarked on some psychological phenomena to explain such behaviour in his usual lecture-like manner... "It's been ages since I've seen Tim..." Rachel thought suddenly, "I wonder if he's watching now?" Shaking off these distracting thoughts, she put on her biggest smile and gave the wolf a little wave. "Hey there!" Rachel called "You all ready to go?"

Not to mention work. ~.~ oy. I have some free time, tonight..] "You all ready to go?" Dak nodded and made a direct run for the vixen, tail high; it was a sign that he wasn't taking the move very seriously. Rather; he wanted to see what the fox-girl could do, and a direct assault was a brilliant, if not reckless, way of drawing out an opponents style. He was ready to jump out of dodge of any normal, frontal attacks, but if Rachel didn't make a move, her opponent would change back into his bipedal form and aim an uppercut. Needless to say, he didn't exactly hold back for girls; besides, this particular one had made it to the finals for a reason!

Registering quick surprise, the fox let her instinct do the work and executed a massive leap over the canine's head. "Not even going to stop for pleasantries?" she quipped in mid-air.

Once he had come to a stop, he snickered at the vixen's remark and bowed low with a flourish. "Our apologies, m'am. Do haves a good fights! I believes it's your turns to make a move~" Even in jest, he hadn't forgotten his plan to figure out his opponent; he already assessed that she was quick on her feet- she be able to dodge fairly well, probably- and now he just needed a taste of her fighting style. Anything to leave him a little bit prepared.

In sudden realisation, she stared at it for a few seconds in dumb surprise. "........" she said, "...... Whaaaat? Where did that come from?" With that, she tossed the device over her shoulder carelessly, ignoring the explosive retort that followed after. "Um..." the fox said after a pause, "moving on!" She sliced her hand through the air, sending her grappling hook towards her opponent's head and neck, the line whipping out behind it with a sound not unlike an angry swarm of bees. Very quiet angry bees.

His fur stood on end when she questioned the origin of said explosive device. Okay, She magically spawns dangerous objects... he thought, flinching as the relinquished bomb went off somewhere behind her. Not what we were expecting... "Um... Moving on!" Her exclamation focused both opponent back on each other, and Dak tensed as she swung her arm out. It took a second for him to notice the foreshortened projectile shooting toward, but when he did... Ooooh this is going to be great... He did a hop skip, letting the hook catch on his collar, and sped toward the fox with all speed. He really wasn't giving her a chance to reel him in, herself.; hopefully, the line would double in on itself as its catch shot toward its base.

He speedily continued on his path, but as he neared his target, he quickly veered to the side, away from Rachel's tightened fist. Instead of attacking, the wolf shot right past her, missing the girl by a hair's breath, and spun around, the line following him.

Dakoter Fairplay: What would only turn into no one managed to get a single hit, just dodge what would approach from your opponent in right time. Though using a clever move surprising the female. Well anyway, the battle did never last to long. 9/10 Grammer: No faults here. You did everything what could have been taken out from a dictonary. 10/10 Entertainment Value: What is this. A moment of gentle manners for the sake of a lady. Though because the battle did never turn into anything serious i have to leave you with only a. 9/10 Rachel Fairplay: No one did take any hit, except dodging. While you did gave away the oppertunity leaving Dakoter able to choose what would occur through the action. Well done. 9/10 Grammer: There wasn't much wrong here. I would say you followed up LilAvii pretty good. 10/10 Entertainment Value: The guard is back. You created somewhat an action by randomly throwing out a grenade. Like that is when i thought. Hey! Rachel aint following by the rules. Though it turned into a mistake. While the battle did never turn out into anything specific except for a few dodges here and there. But i do incur because you created the somewhat humor you involved back when battling me, that is how you won. 9.5/10 Yeah i feel this was hard to judge through, though every moment was taken by consideration. Though it leaves me to Spin have to make the final judge. Dakoter 28 - Rachel 28.5

Anyway, yeah, this being the title fight, it's sorta important. Let's get this show on the road, and draw this tournament to a close! Dakoter Fair Play: All in all, pretty good in my opinion. Didn't force anything and didn't dodge everything either, but then again, this fight wasn't that long anyways. 9/10 Grammar: As it's been before, grammar's pretty much flawless. 10/10 Entertainment: The fight, as it were, was pretty entertaining. But then again, there really wasn't anything too special about it. Not really much to say at this point, but the length once again hurts it slightly. =P 8.5/10 Rachel Fair Play: Pretty much the same as Dak here. Didn't force, didn't dodge everything, fight wasn't long, blah blah blah. It's been routine for me to type that nowadays. 9/10 Grammar: Pretty much the same as Dak as well. 10/10 Entertainment: Haha, using the guard again I see. Plus the very quiet angry bees. Battling with humor, as DF said, is a good thing in the judge's eyes. Keeps our interest. Good job with this, and congratulations, this rating gives you the title. ^^ 9/10 Totals: Dakoter: 27.5/30 Rachel: 28/30 And the winner of the Inaugural =SB= Grand RP Tournament is...
