I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	I was going to extend it to get in more votes. The scores are still pretty blah (but that may be because of the tiering system itself), plus I want a wider range of people contributing. So I see no reason not to give it another month, and then actually advertise it.

I've been meaning to post in this thing for like, a month now and I've just been getting distracted from the task at hand. Time to REALLY vote on some songs! I'll start with Sonic 3 as well as Sonic & Knuckles since these are like, my favourite games ever when combined. <3 Sonic the Hedgehog 3 1. Hydro City Act 2: This song. THIS SONG. This song is the best song. Well maybe not the best song, but it's certainly one of my favourites in Sonic 3's soundtrack. Hydro City in general has a really catchy tune but somehow act 2 kicks it up to a whole new level of funky with that drum beat. can't listen to it enough~ 2. Final Boss: Technically this track appears in both Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles, but I'll give it a mention here since Sonic 3 has less tracks I'm fond of. Anyway, this track really gives of that feel of 'this is the end, and if I make even the sliiiightest wrong move I'm dead'. Which truth be told is often true. Dang big arms. I'd say I like this even more than The Doomsday, personally. 3. Angel Island Act 2: For similar reasons to the Hydro City Act 2, I love this track too. Angel Island has always had a really memorable tune but the increased beat and tempo (or at least what feels like an increased tempo) really helps it stick out in my mind as one of those tunes I'll love forever. 4. Balloon Park: Light hearted, catchy and fun. There really isn't much else to say on the matter. :P 5. Ice Cap Act 1: Obligatory Ice Cap mention. But you've got to admit that it's a pretty neat tune. Really overused though. x. Data Select: Although this falls into a category we're not allowed to vote for, I have to give this track a mention. This tune just has this wonderful tropical feel to it and for something you only hair for about 5 seconds as you pick your save file, it sure does a good job of sticking in your head. I love this track to bits. In fact if we were allowed to vote for menu music this probably would have been number 1 on my list. No joke! Sonic & Knuckles 1. Mushroom Hill Act 1: I'm not sure what it is about Mushroom Hill, but I just love this tune for some reason. It's kind of relaxed but I think that's what I like about it. I can just chill and bob my head along to this song all day. 2. Mushroom Hill Act 2: I actually really like the Act 2 version too. It's a little more fast paced, almost as if they game is telling you to step it up a bit. Just as catchy though~ 3. Sky Sanctuary: What I consider one of the most majestic tracks in the whole Sonic series, this really does give that feel of running along ancient ruins hovering around the lofty heights above the clouds. I just love it. 4. Lava Reef Act 1: I love this track, but I'm not sure why I can explain why. But it really does suit an area in which you're dealing with a lot of lava. 5. Flying Battery Act 1: A fast paced and catchy song with a really memorable tune. I don't really know if there's much else to say about it really. xD 6. Sandopolis Act 2: I always dread this zone. But I always like the music~ Creepy and has that Egyptian feel to it, just as it should. 7. The Doomsday: More or less an obligatory mention, as it's always stuck out in my mind as a memorable tune, as well as the battle it accompanies. It can feel rather dull and repetitive at times, though. x. Knuckles' Theme: The S&K version of the Knuckles theme has always stuck out in my mind. I often find myself randomly humming it for no reason at all~ And done~ Just for future reference, are we counting the Console/PC versions and the 3DS version of Generations as separate Soundtracks or as the one thing as presented in the OST? Probably the next game I'll vote for so I need to know how hard of a time I'll have picking favourites. xD

With permission, I will treat this as one game: Sonic 3 and Knuckles: Sky Sanctuary Zone This was always a lovely song. I remember when I first got to this level. I probably sat on the edge of that bridge, watching the Death Egg fly into the air, for a good two or three minutes. I totally got a feel for Sonic's heroism from this music that wasn't there from the Sky Fortress Zone of Sonic 2. Ice Cap Zone Second place because Sonic on a snowboard. Also, the music was awesome. Doomsday Zone this is technically tied for second, but we gotta have some organization. Besides, Sonic on a snowboard. I remember when I first discovered this level, and I was all like "Woah, hidden level!" the music was intense and Robotnik wasn't giving up anytime soon. Not to mention that rings were initially hard to predict and there were missiles everywhere! I died maybe three times. Not gonna lie. The Final(?) Boss Oh crap, this thing's even bigger than the final boss in sonic 2! and he's got these huge fingers, breathes fire and shoots lasers from his mouth! ... Come to think of it, seems that Robotnik was Wooping the Shoop before Shoop the Woop was cool, huh? Flying Battery Act 2 And then, things got serious. Flying all over this damn airship took a long time and it didn't get me anywhere. Robotnik was here somewhere and his hide-and-seek games were getting annoying. Time to pull out all the stops.... Flying Battery Act 1 Ok yeah, this song is up there, but it wasn't nearly as epic as the Act 2. Hydrocity Act 2 This underground aquaduct system was more epic than I'd thought! I should really thank that red dude next time I see him.... with a spin dash to the face. Lava Reef Act 1 This is a really pretty level, and the music provided great atmosphere. can't help but wonder what led me all the way down here, though. after being on the hunt for Robotnik's Death Egg, doesn't this seem like a detour? Death Egg Act 1 .... When it looked that big on the outside, I didn't expect it to be this hard to navigate on the inside. Seriously, he must have blown the aesthetics part of the blueprints into space or something. Angel Island Act 2 Wow. Robotnik sure goes to great lengths to kill me, doesn't he? too bad he ends up causing more collateral than making more effective attacks.
