It would seem like LBP Karting would be competing with Modnation Racers but I guess if you can have tons of FPS games flooding the market that coexist together then you can have multiple kart games. Although I felt like Modnation Racers was just a LittleBigPlanet of kart racing anyway. I guess Sony wants brand recognition since LittleBigPlanet has brand recognition whereas Modnation doesn't. The same developers behind Modnation(United Front Games) is making LittleBigPlanet Karting. It will also have a move wheel peripheral, presumably like the one for Wii but different design. I am stoked as Modnation was the best Kart game I've played. Topping even Crash Team Racing and Mario Kart 64. Youtube Trailer As you can see, it's similar to Modnation Racers set in a LBP universe, but with many improvements. Grappling in a kart game looks pretty cool. Even a battle mode similar to a kid style Twisted Metal. Looks promising to me!

Both are kart racers meant to be very customizable. Eh. Dunno about this. Modnation racers didn't really thrill me as much as it did to you, Neo. Though I suppose it could be more of me getting tired of cartoony racing games like this and Mario Kart overall.

Well, for one, I was reading on the blog that you can create your own weapons in this game. All of the weapons that come in the game are made using tools that are available to everyone. At first I really didn't care because I thought it would be just Modnation in a LBP skin but it looks like the customization is much improved from what I've seen and read. I thought Modnation was great just because of the customization and this seems to have much more than Modnation had. I'm hoping the gameplay is improved. The gameplay was just decent imo but not bad.
