From the crystal clear windows the power hungry fire could be seen devouring the houses of wood, covering the night. War was upon this small kingdom and no one could prevent it. Pirates, mercenaries and many more roam the city looking for gold and anything that was valuable.


Water could be seen flying throw the air, trying to weaken this destructive force. It was what was left of the royal guard. Many fierce soldiers, mages , all ready to give there life for there home, with little effect.

"My queen, we have to leave." - The queen General said, entering the room worn-out.

In the middle of the room, writing in a piece of paper was the queen. Young, maybe 20 years old with a pale skin and white eyes, the eyes of royalty. She toke over the throne after the king died from natural causes. She was in the middle of the room near a firm table, the walls her full of books from all subjects and the floor covered in marble.

"I'm not going, its a queen duty to follow the path of her people." She said looking away from the table and into her knight eyes.

He was wearing a blue armor with a few scratches. Some she had seen before but most where new. He had blue air and green eyes with part of his face covered in blood.

"Your kingdom need you alive if they ever want to restore it to his former beauty."

"The palace hasn't fall yet and you already speak of defeat, what chance do we have?"

"I'm sorry my queen, but no quest is lost has long has there still fight in our hearts." The knight said moving towards the queen.

"I see so fighting spirit in my hand or heart, James. Go, join has little man has you can and prepare a assault to take the city again. I'll stay behind to give you all the time I can." She said looking down and turning away from her knight and back to her paper.

James move until he put an hand on the table, side by side to his queen.

"I'm sorry, but you're the fire that keeps our fight alive." He said with tears in his face and hitting the queen in the stomach.

When she fall unconscious, he grab her before she could fall to the ground.

"I'm sorry my queen, but I won't let you fall into the hands of someone who the believes the opposite of you and wouldn't treat you well."

He said to her hear, taking her out of her castle and into a river 2 miles away. The path was throw a dense forest giving them cover until they found a small ship that would take them away and into a safe place.

In the same boat there where a few more faces. Some young, some old, all with the same expression. It could be seen in there faces the reflection of the fire behind them. A fire that signified the end of there home.
