No classic Chaotix?

 Just as the title says:


I know they aren't the main focus of this game, but does anyone else find it weird that classic sonic, tails, and eggman made it into this game, but no classic versions of knuckles or the chaotix were featured? Even when they're in the game, there still not "in the game". lol
The other weird part is, it's not like they totally skipped the game, because they play that BGM from the game(I think it's called Door into summer) in the collection room.

I still can't use this.

 Knuckles Chaotix is one of the least played titles of the entire series, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a significant fan base for these characters outside of the online hardcores. So no, I don't find it weird that they weren't given much of a bone, especially before classic Knuckles and classic Amy. The game was just as much a Sonic celebration for the masses, if not more of one, as it was for the existing fans.

 I've never actually seen the gameplay for this before, it looks interesting. Reminds me of a EGM magazine I read wayy back during Sonic's 10th anniversary where they mentioned a Sonic 4 that was never made that had Sonic and Tails connected by a ring.

But anyway, I don't find it surprising either. At least they showed some recognition to it with the song in the collection room.

 I was kinda disappointed too. It would've been real interesting to see them again in Generations. Oh well, I guess.

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
 Yea, basically what Bliz says; it is one of the least played games in the series. I would of been not surprised if Sega's minds never crossed it before. It would of been awesome if they did, but it goes back on the cutting corners I explained in the Sonic Genereations remake topic. If they never had time to make a classic Amy in the game, why would they waste time putting in the Chaotix.

I'm well aware of that stuff, but I just found it kinda funny, even with amy to. I do wanna point out though that Chaotix was released for the 32X though, and how many of us actually knew about that thing, let alone even get one? As a matter of fact, I don't think it had too many games at all. Regardless though, compared to other sonic games back then, it was pretty good and a new spin on the series for it's time, not to mention Metal sonic made an appearance and was the final boss. Though, the music could've been a lot better.

Hey, how would that be a waste of time? At least the chaotix were the main characters of their game, but I see where your coming from. It just seems they could've explored more with this game if they had gone through more stuff, but I'll save that for that topic.

Ahh, spring~
 I was under the impression that Knuckles Chaotix was arguably dropped from the game's canon, therefore eliminating pre-Heroes Team Chaotix from the timeline.

That aside, I'm not too surprised they didn't appear. Knuckles' classic form didn't even make it in, and if anyone else were to don a classic appearance it would have been him. :P

 As much as I like Knuckles Chaotix and would've wanted Botanic Base in modernized HD I'm glad it didn't.
It was a game that's not part of the main series, as far as events in the game go.
