Rumors about Sonic's music.; A rumor a long time ago I heard and have really noticed today.

Okay, I remember hearing rumors about the three classic Sonic the Hedgehog's music from certain levels. The strange rumor that the songs from the certain levels contained authorized interpolation from songs of Michael Jackson. They are either sped up or slowed down. I saw a video of this showing the comparisons, but I don't remember how to search them up.

I believe this rumor, even though people talk me down, saying that it's false. But, I want to hear your opinions. Do you believe this or not? NO ONE'S GONNA MAKE ME "UNBELIEVE" THIS RUMOR.

Yep.
Tell your people they may want to do some research first before talking smart. :I

According to interviews, yes. Michael Jackson was supposed to compose most of the music. But due to the whole 'michael jackson rapes children' thing at the time, he was dropped. =3 Why?

Here's everything. Sonic Retro approves! =3

Ive read that he did indeed help compose music for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 but he was uncredited.

Not sure why but it must be true since I saw this on a popular music channel that displays facts about the artist as their music plays. Id imagine that they make sure they get their facts straight before putting up anything on their channel.

Wow, so I was half right and half wrong. He did compose music for the Sonic games, but then, got his music removed.

And ignored, once again. xD

But who honestly knows really. Sonic Retro does seem to have some legit facts but you have to think that the site is run by fans of Sonic. Not Sonic Team themselves.

Flying Battery Act 1
From what I've heard, MJ composed for Sonic 3 (but not S&K) but asked to remain uncredited due to feeling that the sound quality the Genesis was capable of producing was too weak. If I recall, this came from an interview with one of his colleagues with the game (the interview was made after his death).

Sandopolis Act 1
Michael Jackson's music was not removed. He made some of the basic, underlying rhythms of the level music, which was then edited a little. His music is still in there, but they weren't supposed to bear any semblance to Jackson's existing songs. However, Jackson's style was consistent across mediums, so even though the S3&K songs aren't actually edited versions of his album works, they do sound similar.

There's a huge chunk of info on the Sega Mega Drive Collection on the 360, where Sega pretty much confirmed a certain someone did indeed have a major part in the music...

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
If you play the music backwards you can hear Sonic 06...

Ok in all honesty, MJ was supposedly said helped with the whole Sonic 3 and Knuckles game. And fun fact: if you mix some of his songs with songs from Sonic 3&K, most of them actually somewhat match up. Coincidence? :O :O :O
