''No, it's okay. See you later,'' she says as she walks up to her driveway and to her door, opening it slowly. She walks in seeing her Mother making some food and her Dad still wasn't home but she didn't mind. The more he was gone the better. She waves to her Mother signaling she was home and then walks up to her room. |

(Kay kay~) It was the next day, and Ginger woke up, her hair messy. It was bed head hair. She sighs, gets up from her bed and slowly opens her bedroom door, seeing her father on the couch. He was passed out. Her mom was nowhere to be seen. She lets out a shaky sigh, shuts her door gently and then climbs back into her bed, figuring it was just safe to stay in her bed until her mom got home. Her Dad Always got violent when he got drunk, and he was even worse after he woke up. Whenever he had a hangover he was even worse than when he got drunk. But Ginger didn't remember anything, and she didn't know why. She just figured she got the bruises and scars from herself. But sometimes she did resort to self harm, she'd never bruise herself. But she would make scars on herself. Anyways, Ginger sighs, looking up at the ceiling. She looks over at her drawer, glancing at her clock. It read 7 A.M. She really didn't want to risk going down there, but he was asleep, wasn't he? She nods, gets some courage and then opens her bedroom door, and walks downstairs as quietly as she could. She slips out the front door and sighs, her back sliding across the wall. She didn't know what to do right now. Should she go to Jake's? She figured he would be asleep at this hour, it was 7 A.M. for petes sake! She sighs, putting her head in her hands, and she stayed in that position for a while. |

Meanwhile Jake wakes up from his bed, seeing that his friends stayed to sleep over. He gets up and goes downstairs to make some breakfast for him and his friends. After finishing making some breakfast, he starts drinking a glass of water, but he then sees the calendar for what's to happen today. "!" He spits his water into the sink, seeing that today's the day his parents come to see him. "..." He tried not to panic and goes to take a shower to wash up. |

She gets up from the position she is in, and sighs, deciding to finally go to Jake's. She couldn't take the anxiety she had bubbling up in her anymore. She didn't care how she was dressed. She didn't care if her Dad got mad, she just needed someone to release her feelings to. She runs to wherever Jake's house is and she sighs, stopping as soon as she's at his door. She begins to have second thoughts if she should, but she was there already so it was too late to back away. She reluctantly knocks on the door. |

He was done taking a shower and heard someone at the door. He gets his towel on him and rushes to the door. He opens it and sees Ginger. "..You seem to be a bit early." He chuckled a little and lets her in. |

Ginger looks at him, feet shuffling awkwardly. She had a reason as to why she was here, partly, and that was because she was just scared of her Dad. Sure he didn't care where she was or what she was doing, really he didn't care anything about her, he never asked how she was, how her life was doing. Sure he was sober sometimes but the times he was, he just went back to the Bar mainly because he was 'stressed' and needed to 'drink' to take the so called stress away. But even though her Dad didn't care where she was, what she was doing or how her life was, he still got mad at her. She sighs and looks up at Jake. ''...can I come in?'' She asks, deciding to take her mind off all the thoughts she was having. She just wanted to feel safe at Jake's, to be free of all her worries with him. But, for some reason she couldn't take her mind off her Dad. She just had a weird feeling her Dad would come to where she was, even though it was impossible for him to know where Jake's house was and he never cared about where she was anyways, she still had this bottomless feeling in her stomach that caused her stomach to churn, it felt like a whole bunch of rocks were in her stomach. Her dad would get any excuse to come and get her, then...beat her after. She knew about it, but she never knew what happened during it. Her mind was specifically blanked on the beatings after they happened. She takes a deep breath, and looks up at Jake to hear his answer. She tried so hard to get her Dad out of her thoughts. |

"Sure. You can probably stay when my parents are here. I'm sure they'll be happy to meet someone like you." He lets her in as he goes to his room to get his clothes on. Not only are his parents coming, but also his sister that he hasn't for 3 years. |

She walks inside and shuts the door after her. She sighs and stands there awkwardly. She somehow felt somewhat safer when she walked in here. Not completely safe but she felt somewhat more safe than before. She shuffles her feet awkwardly, playing with her hair while she waited for Jake to come down. |

''No, I just feel awkward. Thanks for letting me hang here, though...'' she says, it really did mean a lot to her. She was happy she could hang at a place she felt safe at. ''I mean it. I feel somewhat safer here when I stay here...you know?'' She couldn't really explain it, but she still had that thought in the back of her Dad would come for her somehow, but she tries to ignore it. She cracks her knuckles and then smiles. ''Now, let's do something fun. What do you suggest we do?'' She asks, trying to pass the time, anything to do to get her Dad off her mind. |
