The newest Sonic producer seems set on creating the next era of Sonic games. It seems like Generations was a close to the "modern era", as Generations titled it, in Sonic's history. Read the original interview from Gamasutra... I like Iizuka's attitude. I feel that this subtracts credibility from the Sonic Dimensions rumors, considering that I believe said rumors claimed that Dimensions would be a sequel to Colors, and with the way they're talking, it doesn't seem like we'll be getting a sequel to anything. I'm excited. This could mean a lot of things, ya know. What if we end up with total character redesigns? EDIT: Just wanted to note that this is from November, but I couldn't find it here. If it is another redesign, I hope it doesn't cause too much of a meltdown, though I never had a problem with Modern design. I had a serious feeling that change was in the air, and this just proves it was a good feeling. Im really looking forward to it even if it's not a sequel. Even at his worst, I'm convinced it's impossible to take Sonic and make him a completely unrecognizable mess a la new Dante. Changes will ultimately be minimal in the grand scheme of things, and the modern and classic opponents who'll devote paragraphs to complaining about why it was an apocalyptic decision should be swiftly ignored. Anyway, always excited for the future and new things. Have no idea what they're doing, but at the very least I hope they go back into opening up Sonic's world and lore ala the Adventures and Unleashed. That's always fun.

I have drawn sonic chars with more humanoid forms. But I digress. I would be interested to see what the face lift looks like. Though would that mean other chars would get ones too? I just hope its good. I remember when the Crash cast got a redesign, and while some were good, others were so different(Voices were changed too) that they might as well been new characters.

His new look disappoints me beyond belief, although I still plan on someday playing the new game, I sooo prefer his old badass look. Anyway, back on topic. I'm curious what can they do to exactly redesign Sonic, which I'm not sure really sure how I feel about it. I doubt they will turn him into an unrecognizable mess like what Bliz said.
