Angel Island Act 1
|
[This is primarily an experiment. I wanna see how the universe I usually rp in and the sonic universe could intertwine...I think it'll work alright as I've never done anything that'd conflict with the existance of Mobius.] Prolouge The universe is far larger than most realize. The Metarex threat that dawned upon Mobius was nothing compared to what was out there in the far reaches of space. In another galaxy a war rages on, a war not of resources or territory, but that of a way of life, and general survival. This war is between the benevolent Anterian Federation and the Genocidal United People of Erda. Anterians are much like Mobians in their looks. However they are much more durable, taller, and their animal forms are made up of many more alien animals, as well as those found on Mobius and earth. The Anterian Federation accepts other worlds, with countless alien races into their organization. Meanwhile, the United people of Erda are a terrible race of humans, one race. After a terrible tyrant won a war on their homeworld of Erda, they used genetic modification, causing them all to look exactly the same. They now send massive fleets to conquer and destroy civilizations, to make everyone as they are, all the same. In order to look for resources the Anterians dispatched six hundred scout frigates...one being captained by Glandor Trayce, having hand picked his crew they arrive at the first world in a new galaxy...above Mobius. The ship was shaped like a large metallic hummingbird flying through space. "Captain" the helmsman turned to Glandor on the bridge, a rather cramped ship, something Glandor hated, he missed his old battleship the Deus Ex Machina. "Report." "Life forms are detected on the surface." The helmsman was a strange lizard-like creature, a tail with a second head on it that was more insectoid purred and screeked when he talked. "...In that case." Glandor says, standing up from his chair...he was eager to get out of this ship. "Sir!" The logistics officer spoke up, a dark skinned human, an escapee from the UPEs' interment camps. "Another ship has warped in, a UPE colony ship!" Glandor growled, across from them a sort of portal opened and a very large ship flew through, almost two meters long, with a very bulky and unattractive design, it was already combat ready. "...ready weapons!" Glandor told his weapons' officer. "Sir they've already locked on-" the Upe ship fired its' main broadside guns, already ripping up Glandors' ship. "Gah!" The ship was knocked around majorly, already Glandors' logistics, engineering and weapons' officer had been either knocked out or killed in an explosion, his helmsman gave him a status report. "Sir! Our weapons and shields are offline, we will not be able to take another hit!" Glandor frowned and looked down...he hated this ship...it was obvious the UPE didn't like it...that was too bad because he was going to give it to them. Glandor pressed the intercom and let his voice ring over the intercom. "All hands evacuate, repeat all hands evacuate!" An alarm sounded as several escape pods began to launch from the ship, Glandor almost forced the helmsman into the bridge pod before going over to the controls, setting the ship for auto pilot, and setting the self destruct. He ran back toward the bridge pod, him and the helmsman as the pod launched, headed straight for Mobius, the scout ship flew forward, it getting ripped apart by the canons of the colony ship...but enough of it hit the ship hard enough to cause it to actually go up in a large ball of fire. A ball of fire visible from the surface...the pods streaking across the sky, large tails of fire behind them. ///This Rp is open to anyone who wants to participate. Basically, just use whoever you wanna use. Glandor is going to be exploring this world and all that it has to offer so throw in whoever you think would be best. and I'd suggest a small bio simply for the sake of being able to tell everyone apart. |

OOC: Hmm, alright then. I'll start off with the following characters; Blaire Fields the Siberian Husky Aurora Lunetane the Timber Wolf Chester Chipston the Alpine Chipmunk Drake McStrype the Bengal Tiger Blaire's the only one that has an updated bio ( http://sonicblast.org/topic/7323274/1/#new ) but I'm working on the others. I also have other characters I plan to use. (= --------------------------------------- IC: All was quiet in Empire City. The citizens of the fair metropolis went about their business, unaware of any sort of strange going ones. A bright red car coursed down the highway, past skyscrapers galore, the scenery blurring into a veritable hodgepodge of gray. Clunk The driver, a young fox, recoiled back into his seat at the sound of someone landing on the roof of the car. With a click and a whir, the window was rolled down. The vulpine stuck his head out, curiosity clear as day on his face as he craned his neck to see better. His eyes nearly bulged out of his head as they beheld what was on the roof. One of Eggman's very robots, an Egg Fighter, was facing a mint green-furred Alpine Chipmunk who was standing on the car behind him. The young Mobian did not seem unduly concerned as he waved at the robot with a hearty grin on his tan-furred visage. "Hello, hello, hello! And how are we on this fine day?" The Fighter didn't answer, not with words at any rate. But the terrifying swiftness at which it pulled out a deadly-looking buzzsaw sword prompted the chipmunk into shaking his head. "Hmm, not having a good afternoon, are we?" the young Mobian inquired, tilting his head to one side and putting his paws behind his back. "Fair enough. Are you tired or something?" Once again, no words were spoken by the robot. Instead, it jumped up and down the car like mad, spinning around and causing the roof to start caving in. The chipmunk snapped his fingers. "Ah, so that is it! No problem. Lack of sleep is easy to take care of." He pulled from his belt a curious weapon. The center consisted of a long elastic band, dyed orange and red, with a brass object on either end. It was light enough so that it didn't slow him down much, but heavy enough to cause some heavy damage if wielded correctly. The chipmunk swung his meteor hammer, as it was called, above his head, holding it by the center of the band. More then once the two brass heads struck against one another. With determination shining in his eyes, the Mobian suddenly swung the hammer at the Egg Fighter. The heads caught the robot in its left side, sending it flying into the wall of a nearby building - had the chipmunk been able to stop and listen, he was have heard someone screaming in surprise. As it happened, when he chanced a glance down, the Fighter was lying in a heap, sparks flying from its body. He smiled to himself, brushing his paws together in satisfaction, fingerless mahogany gloves rubbing against each other. "Chalk up another victory for Chester Chipston." Chester suddenly leaped off the car - in mid air, he turned his head and waved at the drivers of the vehicles behind them, a couple of who looked like they were about to mop the floor of their cars with their chin. The Alpine Chipmunk deftly landed on a rail, finding himself looking over the massive city. The view, great as it was, was not his utmost concern - and besides, he had never been crazy about city life as it was. He jumped down...only to find himself face to face with a violet-furred Siberian Husky. "Oh. Blaire, I didn't see you there." Blaire Fields crossed her arms over her chest, a smirk present on her lavender-fuzzed muzzle. "Oh is that so? I'm ashamed at you, Chester," the dog said jokingly. "I was sure you were taught to be more observant than that." For once, Chester was not in the mood for jokes. The canine noticed the look of distress on her friend's face - something had suddenly frightened him. Blaire tilted her head to one side, deep concern present in her voice as she inquired; "Is something wrong?" The chipmunk nodded and with a swift movement of his paw, one of his fingers pointed right at a large ball of fire... |

And straight from the ball of fire the streak of fire followed, straight over their heads...it was Glandors' bridge pod. The pod proceeded to impact in the distance, outside the city and straight into a pond. Other streaks of fire went across the night sky, all landing all over the place. Glandor knew that he was not going to be able to get out of this situation, looking around in the pod that laid on the bottom of the pond, seeing the occasional drip. He leaned over and tasted the water, realizing it was fresh. That was good, he wasn't in the middle of an ocean. He looked over at his helmsman, who unfortunately did not survive the impact, as his safety belt had given away and he slammed straight into a wall of the pod. Glandor sighed and looked out a window, seeing some light above them, and the occasional fish would swim by. "...Maybe...hopefully someone noticed." He'd say to himself. |

Elsewhere, on the very outskirts of the city, a second pair of Mobians stood with their backs against a wall, waiting for their companions to show up. They were a strange duo - one was a female Timber Wolf with pastel blue fur and the tendency to chat up a storm. The other was a male Bengal Tiger with a yellow coat who preferred to stay his tongue and be silent. As such, it was the canine that spoke first. "Drake, when are Blaire and Chester supposed to be back?" Drake McStrype glanced at his watch. "Eh, I think it was half an hour from now." He lifted his head and looked the wolf right in the eyes. "Why do you ask?" The wolf, Aurora Lunetane, started fiddling with one of the two bracelets on her wrists. "Oh, no real reason. I was trying to start a conversation with you, plus I was curious about it anyway," she finished with a smile. The tiger tilted his head, one eyebrow raised. "Trying to start a conversation? With me?" The ghost of a smile crossed his white muzzle. "Aurora. You've known me for how many years?" "Seventeen," the canine said proudly, placing her paws behind her back and standing just a little straighter. "Exactly. Therefore, you know I am not a talker." Aurora's smile only widened. "Oh. I know that. But with a little push in the right direction, I can get you involved in at least a small conversation. Like this one." Drake was about to say something in retort, when the wolf's last sentence suddenly struck him. He stared at Aurora, who didn't flinch at the look of mock anger in his green eyes. "You little sneak. You planned this, didn't you?" The wolf stretched out a kink in her back. "Plannned? Nah, I didn't do any such thing. Actually, it was an act out of boredom." She loosened up, breathing a sigh of relief. "But either way, it worked." Drake shook his head, a light chuckle escaping his lips. "Yeah, it did." The two Mobians went facing right at it, therefore they did not see anything fall into the pond not far off from where they were standing. They certainly heard it, however. Turning so fast that her bushy tail wrapped itself around her waist, Aurora was heard to say; "What on Mobius was that?!" The Bengal Tiger scratched a spot behind his ear, bewilderment clearly present on his visage. "I...I don't know. All I can say, is that something landed in that pond over there." He jerked his head in the direction of the body of water. "And what ever it was, it was fairly large." "I'm gonna go check it out," the pastel blue-furred Timber Wolf said suddenly, much to Drake's surprise. "Whoa, you don't know what that thing was. What if-" The words died on his lips - Aurora was gone. He looked ahead to see her running at one-hundred miles per hour towards the pond. The red-striped cat let out a defeated sigh and started to run after her. "I do hope nothing bad happens..." |

Angel Island Act 1

The Anterian pod was at the bottom of the pond, in clear view, some light glowed light blue, the symbol was on its' side, of a strange blue eagle-like creature, which held two swords in its' talons. Glandor looked out the window and saw some obsucred images above the waters' surface...he sighed in relief and attempted to use telepathy to whoever was there. 'Hello? Is anyone there?' he would ask. |

OOC: We're gonna need more than two people for this. Else I may have to move it into the private RP section. xP IC: A thick pall of dust covered the area where Aurora had dashed through, getting into the faces of Empire City's citizens and stinging their eyes. The wolf had no time to apologize for her actions, however, as she was in too big of a hurry; someone could be down in that pond, and a risk of drowning seemed to her like something that needed more attention brought to it than temporary blindness. The first thing Aurora was aware of was a faint light blue glow coming from the pond. The canine tilted her head to one side, growing ever more curious about what could be down there. Soon, she had reached the edge of the small body of water, where she was able to get a better look at the pod. "Hmm, bizarre," the canine thought, tail twitching up and down as she beheld the symbol on the side. "Is that supposed to be some kind of eagle or..." 'Hello? Is anyone there?' Aurora nearly jumped when that voice entered her head. Telepathy was rather rare on Mobius, so she had never experienced what it having someone's voice enter her [/i]mind[/i]. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, the wolf looked back into the pond. 'Uh...yes, someone is here...' the young Mobian 'said', finding this all to be very strange. 'Um....I'll be right there.....' From the outside, people turned their heads at the sound of a loud splash. They saw a rather large bunch of water towering upwards for about a split second, before most of it settled back down into the pond again, the rest splashing against the grass and concrete tiles bordering it. Aurora swam down towards the bottom of the pond, reaching the window Glandor had been looking into. She tapped the glass, trying to see if she could get his attention. The first thing she noticed as that the sound seemed to be muffled while under water. She just hoped whoever was in there would be able to her her from inside the pod... .................................................................................................... Back in the city proper, Blaire and Chester watched as people had grown into a panic over the strange ball of fire that had fallen from the sky. The Alpine Chipmunk glanced at the husky, concern in his voice as he spoke; "Say Blaire, you don't think that was a meteor or something?" He shuddered as those words passed his lips. The Siberian Husky shook her head, her eyes closed for a moment. "No, we would have heard an explosion. And I didn't hear anything, did you?" Chester thought about this for a moment, rubbing his chin with a mint green-furred finger. "Now that you mention it, no. No I didn't." "Then we should be okay. But just in case," Blaire began, taking a few steps forward. "We should check it out. Are you coming?" The chipmunk nodded enthusiastically, running over to Blaire's side and looking her right in the eyes. "Sure! Why not? I am curious about this, after all." |

OOC: I really dunno who else would be in here, if anyone else has even a slight interest anyway...but yeah.Glandor looked over at Aurora through the glass, nodding. 'I speak to you through telepathic means, as you have probably figured out...the pod can only be opened from the outside but I'd rather not leave my helmsman in here...a watery grave like this is not a fate that should befall my crew.' He'd say through telepathy. Actually in reality if Glandor were to speak out loud to anyone they wouldn't understand him, as he only spoke his native tounge, Anterian(A dialect of Latin). 'You should see a lever on the top of the pod, it may take quite a bit of doing but pull it and you should get the pod open.' Glandor went over to the dead alien in the pod and dragged him aside to ensure that they didn't get crushed by the sudden rush of water. He sort of made it so that the aliens' corpse rode piggyback...now to anyone else this would be somewhat morbid...to Glandor this was a very high show of respect. 'I am ready when you are.' |

OOC: Three or more words per post, please. And no, I did not forget about this. I just want to see if anyone else will join. ![]() IC: To say that Aurora Lunetane was no short of surprised would have been a very accurate assumption. The pastel blue-furred Timber Wolf stared wide-eyed at Glandor, 'listening' as he 'spoke' and gave her advice on how to free him. 'I speak to you through telepathic means, as you have probably figured out..' The young Mobian nodded, still finding it odd that someone was able to do such a thing. 'Yeah,' she 'said', wondering if this wasn't just some sort of weird dream. It did feel real, though. 'The pod can only be opened from the outside but I'd rather not leave my helmsman in here...a watery grave like this is not a fate that should befall my crew.' "But aren't they already dead?" Aurora mused, thinking Glandor wouldn't be able to 'hear' her. 'You should see a lever on the top of the pod, it may take quite a bit of doing but pull it and you should get the pod open.' 'Uh, sure, okay.' Aurora swam to the top of the pod, clutching the lever in her gloved paws. The wolf hoped that she would be able to get it open quickly - she was starting to feel light-headed from the lack of air available. 'I am ready when you are.' 'Um, I'm ready,' Aurora said, starting to tug at the lever. |

(yay, dramatic entrance? XD) My character Clank. Something heavy landed on the pod. It was something VERY heavy in fact. Of course, this would be none other than Doco, using Mo to coat himself in a metal layer of skin. This would also mean that he dropped faster than a rock would once he activated the metal skin. He hadn't seen Aurora who went to the lever, however he did see the lights within the water when he arrived on the scene. He was using Mo's night vision sight in order to properly descend and land on the pod. Once there, he switched Mo's sight so he can see within the pod. Yup, there was someone in there alright. Wait, two people? One seemed to be passed out, at least to Doco it seemed that way. Of course, Doco didn't hear the mental conversation Aurora was having with Glandor. Not that in mattered anyways. The fact was still the same. Someone was trapped within this pod. Doco reached for his mining pick, and pulled from the strap on his back. "Standby trapped person, and take caution. We will now smash this window and free you." Mo spoke for Doco, seeing as Mo was a spirit within the helmet, thus speaking out wasn't a problem for the spirit. of course, by Mo's voice, one would think Mo was simply an AI, its voice having a robotic tone yet there was character behind this robot-like tone. With that said, Doco swung the pick down and slammed the pointed part into the window. It cracked, for several reasons in fact. One, Doco's heavy foot was stepping on the water, and two, the water pressure was heavier here since they were at the bottom of the pound. Doco pulled out the pick, which caused some water to slowly pour in the pod. "Please hold your breath... and Hang on." Mo warned as Doco swung his pick again. The window cracked even more, to which Doco took out his pick and got a firm grip on it. He swung it one last time, and suddenly the window shatter, causing the water to rush in. Doco reached his hand down to Glandor for him to grab his hand. By now, Mo's metal layer of skin was removed, so Doco floated a bit as he tried to reach for Glandor, and hopefully help him swim up to the surface. |

Angel Island Act 1

Glandor, no short of suprised by this revelation reached out and grabbed Docus' hand, keeping his helmsan with him and moving up to the surface, throwing him toward the ground before climing out...Glandor coughed hard, expelling a ltitle bit of water from his lungs. "...Lorem alienis te non esset per se ubi miserrime faciebat." He would say...little did they realize that he was speaking an alien language...perhaps his telepathy transfered languages in a way that most beings could understand. He looked over at the dead alien and sighed. "Ut Tendar vos ad aula." He would close his eyes for him before looking to the strangers who helped him. "Ut scio nomina?" He would ask...completely unaware that they couldn't understand him. [Sorry about not replying to this sooner, I had almost given up hope but yeah I should be fairly active.]

"What on Mobius?" Aurora watched with wide eyes as someone smashed a hole in the pod and carried Glandor to the surface of the water. Shaking her head in disbelief, the wolf jumped up, kicked out with her feet and begin her ascent. Drake had arrived not too long ago, waiting for Aurora. When he saw some ripples on the surface of the pond, the tiger leaned forward, nearly risking himself falling in. A frown crossed his face when Glandor and Doco had come up, but Aurora had not. "Where is that wolf?" A sharp gasp for air caught his attention. The cat turned his head sharply to see Aurora floating with her head above the water, sputtering the cool liquid from her mouth. "Aurora? Are you alright?" The Timber Wolf reached up and knocked water from her ears. She shook her head and smiled at her fellow Oakland Resistance Division agent. "Never better, Drake." Ut scio nomina? Both tiger and wolf turned their heads to Glandor, who had spoken that. Not used to anything other than the basic Mobian English, they didn't really know how to react. "Um, come again?" Aurora inquired, tilting her head. |
