Break out the L-word. The other L-word. Posts: 1,889 Group: S Rank Hero Member #11,873 Joined: February 24, 2011	Credit must be given to Pedruben for coming up with this idea. This will be a text-based fan adventure of sorts, in which those participating will use a character to tell a story in the MSPA style, featuring the game SBURB/SGRUB. Here's the rules so far: 1) You may only have one character, unless your characters are trolls, in which case you may have up to two. 2) There will be a posting order in place to make it much less chaotic. People will have to wait their turn to post. 3) You must post in the MSPA style, each post featuring up to three named commands and three "==>" commands. As this is a completely text-based adventure, pictures are not required or desired. Before we start signing people up, however, I'd like to make sure everyone interested gets to pitch in a word or two regarding how it will work, including ideas story-wise. So, get to discussing, those interested!

I want to make sure the characters are described more in their introductions in the story itself rather than lengthy bios. Also, yes, I mean something like Spoiler: click to toggle > Kale: Demonstrate for Ped what you mean. You suppose it's really quite simple. You just post a ">", the name of the character being addressed by the command, and then the command itself. Afterwards, you describe the reaction or results of the command. If you were simply going to expand upon a previously given command in the form of another "panel," you'd continue along with a "==>". Something like that. And it of course has to be in second-person perspective.

But yea, I made the bio small, like what you learn about Jon on the first chapter. Also I want to discuss "Chat". Since this is an RP and thing go kind of slow, long chat aren't an option, are there? That's a new stipulation I'm just now establishing. Make sure your human character's guardian is mentioned in the bio, your troll character's lusus, and your troll character's ancestor. What we'll probably end up doing is this: when you initiate a chat with someone else, neither of you have to post commands until said chat is over. You'll just keep bouncing back messages in relatively short posts, with perhaps a few little blurbs about what your character is thinking in narration. You'll also all have to figure out a text color for your characters, as not only will they be used in the chats, they'll also be used in entire posts. If you have more than one character, you will be required to color all the text except for commands with your character's text color. As long as it's not insanely inappropriate or irrelevant. Also try to make it seem like something that would actually be in Homestuck. I'd also like to mention, if I haven't already, the character combinations: You may have one kid You may have one kid and a troll You may have one troll You may have two trolls No having two kids, sorry. We're going to be limiting the kids in this way, and encouraging more trolls by allowing people to have two. I'd prefer some sort of ratio is followed between the trolls and kids. As for the story, instead of waiting a few acts for the trolls to join in, the Trolls' session and the Kids' sessions will be happening alongside each other (paradoxically and whatnot of course), with the trolls somehow already having contact with the universe their session creates. If Dev is able to return to the site soon, he has a very good idea for a story. I'd rather not try to do it myself, though, so in case he doesn't, we'll have to come up with something else.
