Mostly through Sonic X, which led to me playing the modern Sonic games. I consider myself one of the few Chris Thorndyke fans.

Sonic Heroes was the first modern Sonic game I played, then I went back to SA1 and worked my way up from there.

Back in 1993, my parents bought me a Genisis along with Sonic 1. I've always been a fan of the Genisis-Era games and have only just recently started to branch myself out to newer games.

My parents showed Sonic 2 on Genesis I believe. I thought it was awesome, I remember I always got stuck on Chemical Plant Act 2, took me a long time before I could actually get past it! :)

I was at a Circuit City (electronics store) and I had just got a Gamecube. I saw some guy playing the original Sonic from the 90's, and I was fascinated by the color and speed of it. We picked up Sonics Mega Collection after I saw that.

If it wasn't for that random guy, I wouldn't be here now.

This is a long topic... but let's see.

Well to be honest, I can't remember when I was first introduced to Sonic in general. I do remember before I started playing some comercials for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. However, my start with playing sonic games began one christmas when I got a GameCube. (funny the main consoles my family bought up to that point was all Nintendo.) Though the Gamecube was only mine. I wanted the Gamecube because I wa a huge Pokemon fan and I wanted X D Gale of Darkness because it looked awesome. Anyways that christmas I not only got the gamecube and my Pokemon X D but a few additional games. Supersmash Bros Melee(which came with the system), Xmen legends, and Sonic Mega Collection. But the sad thing was we didn't know about memory cards because we were still used to the data saving to the game. Anyways so it took me awhile to pester my parents to get a 10 dollar memory card... or was it $20? Anyways, due to this I mainly played either Sonic Mega Collection or Super Smash Bros Melee, since neither of those two really needed a memory card in order to play. Anyways, time went on and I finally got my memory card. While I did still play the Sonic mega Collection I wasn't as into it as the others. But then the fatefull day happened, I was on a Band School trip to a mall. I was given some cash to get a game while I was there. So one of the things I bought was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle because it looked cool. and I actually liked the fact that you could play the bad guys. So that was the start of my enjoyment of SOnic games... since then I got each game since then.

Sonic Heroes was next, but I can't remember if I got it a christmas/birthday present, or got it with some not very often allowence. Sonic Riders I got as a Christmas present and I want to say I got it along with Sonic Heroes... but I think I'm wrong there.

So that was my collection for the longest time. (Though I did rent Sonic adventure at some point.) Though honestly I had loads of fun playing them... especially my Sonic Adventure 2 battle which was my favorite game at the time. Anyways I didn't really have much source of information So some games I didn't know about. Later, we got a PS 2 (though it's broken now and I don't know what's wrong.) And I made it to buy a Sonic game for it. Which was Sonic Unleashed. Eventually, my brother got an Xbox 360 which eventually allowed me to get Sonic 06. (I didn't know about anything wrong with it. But honestly I still like the game... ju st a few problems here and there.) I eventually, found SOnic adventure at a store called Joe's Records. Which allowed me to add it to my collection. Other games were added to my sonic collection over the years. SOnic Rush Adventure I also got at some point as well.

Then there was Sonic Colors. Funny, I didn't know about that until one day when I was in Game Stop. They asked if I wanted to preorder Sonic Colors. (but I think I saw it advertized a little before that). To be honest when I first heard the name I thought it was some kind of paint program featuring Sonic. But I was wrong. Anyways, I preordered it (though i finally got someone to pay it off.) But before I got that I got the DS version of it.

Sonic Generations I got not long after it came out. And today I got back my copy of Sonic 4 ep 1. (ugh why couldn't ep 2 be for wii also.) And I got Sonic Chaos... though I'm finding the levels a bit too easy.
Looking for someone to RP with. PM me if your interested.

Technical limitations, Ep 2 ran on a new 3D engine which i think the Wii couldn't support. :P

I posted how I became a Sonic fan In my introduction post, but a brief synopsis would be this:

I played one of the Genesis titles (it was either 1 or 2) at a couple relative's houses as a kid (5 or 6 years old). And when I got my Xbox I got Sonic Heroes, which I enjoyed but did not fall 100% in love with.

And then I recently picked up Sonic Colors after hearing the full intro song "Reach For the Stars". Sonic Colors is now my favorite video game of all time, and I am now a Sonic fan that plans on going back and playing all of the games I missed out on. Even Sonic 06!

I have to thank my cousins for owning the original Sonic the Hedgehog on their Genesis, because when they brought their Genesis over to my grandmother's house when I was a kid made me fall in love with the franchise. Ever since i've been obsessed with the franchise. :)

I watched some of his tv shows, such as Satam and X as a small child. I also played Sonic Adventure's first level, Emerald Coast on the Dreamcast. I was always fond of the Blue Blur's iconic design, Classic and Modern, but I forgot about him for a few years. After watching a lot of Youtubers like SomecallmeJohnny, I regained interest in Sonic and downloaded a bunch of demos from Xbox live. I later bought Advance 2 off of Amazon, and later got Generations for my birthday. It was love with the series at first sight. I love his games, characters, and music, and still remain a dedicated Sonic fan.
