Way back when I was like 3 I got a Genesis with some Sonic games(even managed to lock-on S3&K once). It got stolen, so My parents just got me a Playstation then Gamecube when it came out. But when I got SA2B as my first Gamecube game, I was hooked on Sonic for the early 2000's, till 06. |

I watched Sonic x when I was like 6. I needed a Sonic game badly, got Sonic Mega Collection, got addicted, started getting the comics and now I have the whole bunch of Sonic games that I have now, including the original Sonic Adventure. So yeah. It's amazing though, how I learned about it through a TV show haha |

When i was 5 my uncle took me and my brother and sister to the amusement park and while we were there some boy pushed me off of a ride and he was wearing a Sonic the Hedg9hog t shirt. So i looked it up and discoverd charactrs liek Amy, Big, Tikal, and of course Lumina Flowlight and then i felled in love with the series. ^o^

Amusingly enough, by going to the dentist to have my teeth checked on. xD; A dentist office I used to go to, when I was younger (Six to ten, sort of age range), had two genesis systems in the waiting room, and they had Sonic 1 and 2, among other games. Sonic 2 was the first Sonic game I played, and it's still probably my favourite of the classics. Of course, this didn't really lead anywhere for a while. More than anything, at that point, I thought Sonic was cool but I was more interested in Pokemon and MegaMan Battle Network. But, then I got Sonic Battle. As a birthday present, if I recall properly. I absolutely fell in love with the cast of characters (I believe that Battle has perhaps the best portrayal, of all the characters included in the game, of the characters of any game in the series) and the story. It's probably the best story of any Sonic game. After this, my brother eventually got Sonic Advance/Sonic Pinball Party, and my interest grew even more. I got Sonic Riders for my eleventh (I thinnnkk, but I'm not totally sure anymore) birthday, and loved that as well. We promptly received a PS2 for Christmas, and got Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog ourselves not long after. It was around this time that I was a definite Sonic fan. Later, I got Sonic Advance 3. And, later still we got Sonic Unleashed for the PS2. Annd, Sega lost me for a little while. I honestly wasn't really a fan of the story in Unleashed. Sega regained me as a fan with Sonic Colours, my brother got Sonic Rush some time later, and I've had Generations for maybe half a year and enjoyed it almost as much as Colours. So, yeah. xD |

I used to watch the old Sonic cartoon and sort of discovered the game series a while after that. It took me a long time to get my first Sonic game though (that being Sonic Heroes). |

Awhile back my best friend kept talking about Sonic The Hedgehog, the first time he got me to fan up about him I had never even seen Sonic or anything about him yet. I thought he was crazy for simply saying Hedgehog, I had no idea what the heck that was.  And evidently I didn't know what emeralds were since I imagined them to be different colored guitars.. Then my first introduction to Sonic was probably Sonic 3, that was my favorite Sonic game through most of my life.

I got a Master System with Sonic built in, me mom and dad used to play the hell out of it, think I still have it upstairs. Used to have the Alex Kidd model too *sigh* ah, the good old days of gaming... |

Like most of these posts, I would have to say it was the sega genesis, with Sonic and Knuckles bundled in. That was a present from my late uncle Mark (R.I.P.) I usually played as Knuckles. Years and years after that, I've bought Sonic 3. Years after that, I discovered the benefits of Lock-on technology, and Sonic 3 became my fave genesis game. However, i loved S3&K more. Since then, i've been into Sonic. Who knew that A single game system could open me up to a whole world of gaming? However, that also sparked my interest in gaming as well. I even have the mega collection GC disc!! LOVED that one more than Gems. However, i'm getting off topic  . Sorriez.

Hard to say, I guess, I got into Sonic after watching Sonic X when I was about six. My first Sonic game however, was Sonic Advance 2 for my sixth birthday(First ever GBA game too IIRC). Ever since then, I've been a fan ever since. |

When I got a SEGA Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure  That game was my childhood! I needed my mum to beat Chaos 0 though. I didn't know how because I was a dumb kid |

Haha yeah I was the same way with older Sonic games. The Adventure games weren't my immediate childhood but I was in Jr. High when they came out so it was latter in my childhood. Good times, good times! |

I was introduced to Sonic by the Sonic Adventure series! I think my family started playing Sonic much earlier, but I wasn't introduced or interested in the franchise until the Modern era. My first game was Sonic Adventure DX and my most favorite game is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle! If there is one thing I liked the most about the Sonic series, it's the chao! They are so cute!  |

I grew up with the PS1 (next console being the Dreamcast) and saying it was my childhood was a bit of an exaggeration, but like it's a game I'd bring up when people ask "what did you play as a kid?" Kinda wanna go back now to play it for the first time
