Now it's time to use those skills you learned and-Rip, rip, tore. The small piece of paper was ripped and crumbled by the hands of Angie. Angie the yellow cat to be exact. She had been working beside a semi-evil group of people for pretty much her whole life now. She had blue piercing eyes that every once in while would turn into cat-like slits if she was angry or frustrated, long, un-even hair that was now tied up in a ponytail with her bangs loosely hanging in between her eyes, and she was also a bit slim but muscular from all the training she went through to get to this point. "Eri! Eri, where are you? It's time to head out." She said with a slight hiss in her voice. Standing up, she pulled the black fingerless gloves back on her hand more and fixed her blue jeans. (It's great. I see nothing wrong.) "Hey, wake up." I heard the voice say. "I said, 'wake up!"' I had finally awoke. I feel off of the three branch I was napping on. I rubbed my head in pain after my fall. I looked up to see who woke me up. It was my mentor, Rouge the bat. "Sorry." I said standing. I brushed the leaves off of my black jogging pants. She landed in front of me after waking me up. "How, are you going to be a great jewel thief if you just sleep all day?" She scolded at me, while picking leaves from my mohawk. Oh, wait. I almost forgot. My name is Inferno. Inferno the fox. I have red fur with pinches of orange. I usually only wear my black jogging pants, yellow shoes, and black fingerless gloves. "Well, after my last lesson, I was super tired so I had to take a nap." I explained. |

Angie waited about ten minutes and still didn't see the orange hedgehog scurry up to her partner-in-crime. "Seriously? What the hell can she be doing now?" The cat thought already becoming frustrated from something as little as this. Yes. Angie was a bit hot-tempered at times and could be extremely mad if she didn't get what she wanted in 'x' amount of time. But that was what made Angie...Angie, I suppose. "Eri! It's time to go. The longer we waste in this little house, the less time we have." She said and started heading to one of the rooms. |

After all the leaves were off of me, Rouge explained to me my next and my least favorite lesson. Stealth. "So wait what do I have to do again?" I asked looking the men in the warehouse carry in boxes. "It's easy." Rouge told me. "Just steal what you can without having to fight or get caught." "But the place is full of lights." I pointed out. "With the night all around us, you'll be okay." She giggled. "That means nothing." I said to her. "Just do it." She commanded. I sighed and leaped down to the ground as the men brought in the boxes. I stayed in the shadows to stay out of sight. |

Eri turned out not to be in the house at all but outside in the dark. Unlike any normal person would, Angie liked traveling in the dark because of how good her senses was at this time of day. Eri on the other hand, liked to travel during the day. Flicking her ears a bit, the orange hedgehog had heard her name being yelled throughout the house. She sighed slightly and figured Angie had gotten the letter for their next mission. "Wonder what we have to do now?" She said to herself and started heading back to the house. |

I was able to sneak to one of the first boxes that were brought in. Rouge couldn't see where I was. But, for all I know she wanted me to think that. My name says it all. Inferno. I ignited my hand and burned a hole in the crate. The things in it all fell out and onto the floor. The crash was heard across the place. "Dammit." I whispered. I stepped further into the back in the shadows to hide. Two men came over and looked at the crate. They did a horrible job. They looked at it, then left. Rough rolled her eyes and motioned me to continue. I took the jewels from the pile and filled my pockets. After I got what I could, I sprinted halfway across the room and hid behind another crate. It was under a lights so I had to be careful. A large man walked pass my crate I had to side around it to stay out of sight. After he left I rolled over to the truck they were unloading. Some of the jewels fell from my pocket. I left that spot. "What was that?" One of them questioned. He seen that it was jewels that fell. He took some of them and hid them on his body. After a minute or so I entered the back of the truck and burned the lid off of the first crate I saw. |

"Where were you!?" Angie yelled and had one of her hands placed on her hips. "We could have been halfway to the next town by now but you were outside. Alone!" Eri yelped at how loud she got and bowed her head slightly. "I'm sorry. I was just making sure no one else was on our trail you know." She half lied and hoped Angie would buy it. "Whatever. The boss sent us a letter. There's something he wants us to steal from someone. He didn't say what but he did give us a map." Angie glanced over at the map that was on the small table. The two of them both walked over to it to study it more. |

I was able to fill my pockets. Before I left I found one last jewel. It looked like an emerald but,...it was purple. I could feel that it was surging with power. I quickly made my way back to Rouge. She turned to see me and gasped. "Inferno?" She said. "Wow. And here I thought stealth wasn't your strong suit." "I thought the same." I told her. She looked in my hand and her eyes grew wide. "That was down there?" She asked. "Huh?" I looked it over. "Oh, yeah. But doesn't really look all that valuable." She snatched the emerald from me and smiled at me. "Don't you ever use your head?" She asked me, looking at the jewel. "This isn't no ordinary emerald." "It ain't?" I asked. "No." She responded. "It's a Chaos Emerald." |

"Are you sure we're ready for this?" Eri looked over the map one more time and noticed Angie make her way over to the couch to sit down. "Angie?" "I heard you and yes we are. I mean, no one stands a chance against me." Angie said with a grin forming across her face. She put her hands behind her head and yawned a bit. "We'll leave tomorrow morning and bring stuff we need." |

"A what?" I asked. Rouge glared at me. "Remember your lessons." She said to me. "What are Chaos Emeralds?" I sat to think it over. "Oh, yeah. They were like gems or whatever that could, provide unlimited power to any thing as an energy source." She shrugged. "Well, that's pretty much-" She was cut off by an alarm that the men had set off. "Dammit, Inferno." She said looking down at the place. "What?" I asked looking with her. "Lesson number one: NEVER LEAVE TRACES AFTER YOUR THEFT." She reminded me. "Come on." She said flying off. I followed her by using the buildings of the city as steps. We soon got back to her apartment. She took the jewel to her room. "Good night." She said before closing her door. I looked at the place and went to my room. I lied on the bed and soon fell asleep. |

Eri chuckled a little and nodded. She didn't want to admit it but she was fond of Angie. There was just something about her that Eri liked and she was grateful to be sticking with her throughout all these missions. Rolling the map back up, she placed it in a drawer and went back to her room to get to bed. Angie laid down on the couch and slowly drifted off to sleep. |

I slowly woke up and looked at my clock. It was 11:00 AM. I got up and took a shower. Before I went to the kitchen I heard Rouge on the phone. "Yes." She said on the phone. "We have an emerald and we'll be gone this afternoon." I walked to the fridge like I wasn't listening, although I strongly was. "...Topaz, He WILL be coming with me. I can't really do this alone, especialy with every treasure hunter in the world looking around. Plus, I've trained him well. He could be of help." Topaz. That's Rouge's partner from G.U.N. After a few minutes of talking. Rouge hung up. "Who was that?" I asked. She put her phone away and smiled at me. "You and I are going on a trip." She said, slyly. |

Eri had awoken before Angie did to get ready. She didn't know exactly what they needed but decided to take things that might be essential. Especially money. She gathered the things up and put them in one convenient bag and went to her room to get her weapon. A scythe. A black and red, double-bladed scythe with a snake design on the snatch. She picked it up and placed it inside the little holder she had tied behind her back. "Ready." She gave herself a nod and checked over things before waking up Angie. "Angie. Let's go." She walked over to the couch and poked her on the stomach. Angie sprung up and narrowed her eyes a bit at Eri. "Oh. I'm surprised you're ready." She seen she had a bag packed and her weapon already with her. Swinging her legs off the couch, Angie took a quick shower and got dressed in more comfortable gear. And by "comfortable" meant black skinny jeans, a white button-up shirt with a matching tie, and a black jacket. Little chains with music notes hung from the side of her pants and of course the cat had to wear high-heeled boots with all this. "Is that what you're wearing?" Angie asked as she came back to the living room, looking at Eri's normal blue sweater and white pants. She nodded, opened the door, and stepped outside with Angie following behind carrying the bag. |

After Rouge ate breakfast with me she went to shower. I figured I'd pack my bag while I wait for her. I packed enough clothes to fit in me bag. But, then I had notice I was missing something. I realized I was missing my phone charger. I let Rouge barrow it a few days ago. "She's hot out of the shower yet." I thought. So I went to her room real quick. I opened her door without realizing she had left the bathroom. Big mistake. I opened her room door while she was drying off. "WHOA!" I yelled. "Hey!" She snapped at me, while covering herself. "Ferno, g-get out! Get out!" She yelled. I snapped my eyes shut and turned my head. "Uh, sorry." I said. "I was just looking-" "Just close the door and get out!" She interrupted. I closed the door and opened my eyes. My heart was racing way to fast to be normal. I leaned against the door and gulped. I left to finish my packing. |
