The Female Ultimate Life Form! Posts: 3,112 Group: E Rank Legend Member #59 Joined: April 29, 2006	I know there's not a lot of them to pick, but what was your favorite boss and/or rival battle? I think my favorite boss was the Egg Dragoon. I've never played the game this boss came from, so it was something new to me. It was a fun fight though. Perfect Chaos was pretty fun too, I always enjoyed that fight. Rival battle wise I liked fighting against Silver. Again, I think it's because I never played the game and it was something different.

I enjoyed the Perfect Chaos and Silver battles, but I think they could have gone through much more well. The Egg Dragoon was very eh to me. Although it wasn't anywhere near as bad the the Shadow fight. That one was just pathetic.

I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	I was surprised and impressed at how they completely retooled the Egg Dragoon. It's probably my favorite one to replay. However, the ice blast cycles last way too long and are too repetitive, which is especially annoying considering it's unnecessarily difficult to speed any process of the fight up by snagging some extra hits throughout. And despite being void of any narrative context and thus weight, the Shadow race holds a soft spot in my heart. It's a lot more manic, and the remix of For True Story is boss, said remix being pretty much the only thing I wanted for this game that actually made it in.

I mean, maybe it's just because it threw together three of my favorite songs from the Sonic series. But, come on. You have to admit it's pretty cool. Anyway, I thought Perfect Chaos was a pretty well-done fight, Considering they were working with the limitation of no Super Sonic. All the others are just really cool in a novelty sort of way, not so much the overall mechanic (not that the mechanics are all bad). Edited by Brick Mage, Jan 8 2012, 10:04 PM.

Well, I only own the 3DS version, so.... My faveorite rival would have to be Metal Sonic. I don't know why, but i just really like this fight. He's not too easy, and not too hard. And my faveorite boss would have to be... Giant Arm, or Big Arm, whatever it's called. I really like it because well, the same reason i like the Metal Sonic fight! Not too easy, and not too hard! The other two bosses in the 3DS version are just annoying, or tough to beat.

They added a lot to it from the original version. Shadow and Silver were fun to play, Metal Sonic I think was lacking alot. And I really, really enjoyed the remake of the final boss from sonic 2

As for Rivals, I found myself replaying the Silver fight a lot.

When I saw he was announced to be a boss on the 3DS version, I was dead set on getting it instead of the console version (no bad feelings for the console version, honest, but my all-time favorite Sonic boss is Biolizard!). xD

And that's exactly how powerful he should've been as well. Silver in general has a lot of "Should have but isn't." Sort of things going on with him...but this is the first time I've ever seen them actually not screw it up completely with him. Perfect chaos for sure...just because of the music, it makes you wish he existed so you could jumpkick him in the face.

And for that record, City Escape Act 1 and For True Story as well. While I'm not a particular fan of any of the three, my friends over at FTCR hated those remixes. But hey, that's not really the point of this topic, so... shrug I agree that Silver seems much more powerful in Generations than he ever has before tho'. It's quite satisfying. The fight itself, as I believe I've stated somewhere on the forum before, feels a lot like the Egg Beetle/general Daytime fights in Unleashed, which is definitely not a bad thing.
