Okay, let's just say I'm not good at making topics and stuff. But hey, this keeps me from going insane.  Okay, I'm curious. I know a lot of people here like Pokemon and I know most love Megaman. There are also tons of other anime series I can name right now. But I just want to know, who here is a fan or enjoys Dragon Ball Z or Naruto? They are some of my favorites. I like them because those are good types of fighting anime. I am a fan of Dragonball Z, I like the very intense action that occurred in that series. But I am definitely not a fan of Naruto. In fact, I am very clear on my dislike for that franchise. It had an interesting concept at the start, and it should have stayed that way and not go on to be one of the most repetitive and uninteresting animes ever made. |

I grew up with DBZ and have fond memories of it. Been watching Kai when I'm able, actually. Naruto is something I tried to watch, but never could get into. There's no real reason for it, I just didn't really like it that much. |

DragonBallZ? Sort of. Naruto? Hell no. I'll watch the abridged series, but I don't really watch either actual show. I actually used to watch Naruto a lot as a kid, but then I got tired of it during the whole over-three-seasons-of-filler fiasco. ALSO, I would like to add one more thing. Sasuke Uchiha is quite possibly the biggest Gary Stu I have ever seen in anime. Generic emo backstory, almost every girl in the show gushes over him, and the biggest point: If a character is ever introduced who is stronger than Sasuke, Kishimoto will personally go out of his way to put him on par with said character before the next season is up. Naruto goes nine-tails apeshit on Haku? Sasuke gets his curse mark two days later. Rock Lee kicks his ass? LOL SHARINGAN NOW EVERYTHING YOU TOOK YEARS TO PERFECT I COPIED IN AN EFFING MONTH BITCH. Itachi almost breaks his arm? Oh boy curse mark gains full power after all the frakking filler is over. Kinda sickening, really. |

*shrug* I'm not exactly a big fan of DBZ. I mean, it's okay, really. To be honest I've seen a few episodes and TRIED to get into it but never could. it's just not really my type of show. Naruto, though.. it's okay. I mean I like it, or used to actually, when I was younger but now it's just kind of corny and bland if you know what I mean. |

I like Naruto, but love DBZ. I especially like the Broly episodes. Favorite was the second coming. The music I loved. Also like when Trunks pees on Broly. Funny! |

Oh hell yes, the biggest Gary Stu with an very generic emo backstory ever in an anime which is not surprising since this show continually gets worse and worse and worse with every episode or chapter from the manga... There is ONE good thing though from this series I'd like to mention. Kakashi... that's it. He'd be the one and only reason I'd watch that show all over again... simply Kakashi.  Now that right there, is a badass. Everything else in Naruto sucks more balls than Uwe Boll's movies. Edited by Virgil, Dec 31 2011, 10:08 AM.

Oh Im definitely a DBZ fan. I grew up watching it on Toonami like mad and still try to watch Kai whenever I can. Although, I must admit some of the changes they have made bug me a bit. Honestly, they had to make Mr. Popo neon purple? I mean, does anyone around the age group the show is targeted at even know about blackface and would they really be offended by it? They could have at least chosen a better new color for him. That purple is just blinding. The way they edited out the blood is quite silly too. I watched the show as a kid with none such editing and I grew up to be just fine. But from what I heard, DBZ was never meant for kids anyway. As for Naruto, I remember how a bunch of us at school were sorta into it when we were all thirteen. I believe it was after the first season that I stopped watching. It got boring for me. I don't really hate the show now, I just don't care about it. |

I grew up on DBZ. But I gotta say, after watching the orange box sets of the series on DVD, their's quite a lot of filler. (Yes, captain obvious here.) I guess I never paid any attention to it when I was younger. Like when Goku's in the rejuvenation tank when Vegeta and his gang are fighting Frieza... "Okay guys I'll be there in just a a few minutes" 2 episodes later... "Okay guys I'm coming, oh wait AHH, still hurt, just a little while longer..." 3 episodes later... "Alright guys just a few more seconds and I'll be out of this tank!" 2 episodes later... "Alright i'm out of the tank!" Season ends.  I've actually liked what I've caught of DBZ Kai, cuts a lot of that out. Keeps it flowing better, IMO. As far as Naruto. I really liked the first 2 seasons, after that I stopped watching it. It just got too... Iunno, I just got uninterested in it. |

I always like Naruto. I just HATE Naruto: Shipudden that comes on DisinyXD. I don't like it because the story is just torn to shreds. DBZ Kai, actually makes me laugh. It funny how they call these new episodes when it's the same one that used to come on Toonami. (What ever happened to that anyway?) |

DBZ is basically the blueprint for every shonen series that came afterwards and was a big part of my childhood anime experience. Of course I like it. I liked Naruto back when it was new and Naruto was a young idiot. The fights could also be superb. Fell out of it during the filler and never went back, but I hear it's just become a parody of itself. A shame, really. |

I used to watch DBZ all the time as a kid. I practically grew up on that shit. Sort of the same with Naruto, except I started watching that a bit later since my friend told me about it. But would I watch either of them now? Probably not. But who knows? Maybe one day I'll watch through Naruto or DBZ again. |
