Oh Linkin Park. I remember when everyone was so nuts about them and how we all thought that we were so hardcore for listening to them. I haven't paid any attention to them in a while. I really enjoy their old stuff so I guess I should try to listen to what they got going on now. |

Yeah, they're emo, as I think about it. Well, there is alternatives. That's why I listen to Lamb of God, SoaD, Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, Evanescence, A7X, and As I Lay Dying. |

lolalternative The intrumentals are always nice, but when it comes to the lyrics, they always seem to get too "deep and emotional" for my tastes. Sure, I can do a deep song once in a while, but it starts to lose its meaning when that's all you ever write. Which is why I like bands like Judas Priest. Crazy lyrics while still being legit. |

I think LP's newer music is actually really good. They certainly aren't in my top ten bands or anything. My personal tastes are much different lol. But being a musician I have to respect what they are doing. They aren't the same band they were when i was 12, and that's a good thing. They are growing and maturing as artists, respect. |

Loved Linkin Park, though I'd never admit it to avoid coming off as age 13. I like classical music. Really, I disliked most of their music starting at Minutes to Midnight, though that sentiment is common. Minutes to Midnight itself was good, but Shadow of the Day was pure sh*t, and those songs are what they focus on now, so yeah; sadness. Not to mention the new songs bring in the wrong kind of fans, and I didn't like Linkin Park fans to begin with, although I was one. |

Ugh, Linkin Park. I don't like them anymore. I used to have Hybrid Theory and Minutes to Midnight, and I listened to them religiously... But now, I see them as an "immature" band. Not because I feel like I outgrew then, But because there's music out there that's far more profound on every front. Not to offend anyone. I have like, NO problems with a Linkin Park fan. It's just that you might catch me trying to convert you to better music... |

Love Hybrid Theory and Meteora, liked Minutes to Midnight a whole lot as well, love/like a bunch of the EPs and LPU CDs, ABSOLUTELY HATE A Thousand Suns. That last album never should have been released. It's unfinished crap. Now, I used to be part of LPU, the Linkin Park Underground, the official fan site. That is, until they changed every thing and upped the price from 25 USD to 60 USD for online membership. Their service was never good enough for any more than about 30 USD, so I sure ain't going to fork over 60 bucks. Once everything was changed on the LPU site along with the release of ATS, I pretty much stopped caring. I don't listen to them very often because I've listened to everything else so much, and ATS I dislike so much I rarely listen to it. EDIT: I dislike ATS in a few ways. It sounds like demo music, and it is also sounds extremely unprofessionally edited. It's just... ugh. Ehh, I dunno. LP is just kind of there now. Edited by ShenziSixaxis, Jan 12 2012, 10:28 PM.

I've only actively listened to Hybrid Theory and Meteora. I've heard a couple of songs off of Minutes to Midnight, and my checking-them-out just dwindled from there. Maybe I should give A Thousands Suns a try... when I find the interest to. |

Hey, I was on youtube, and i was looking up mashups. As fate would have it, I stumbled onto several mashups from an album that MTV did back in 2004 called "Collision Course." Linkin park was on there, performing some of their songs with rapper Jay-Z's songs. It was a mashup album at best, and they all sounded good based on what i heard. Youtube "Linkin Park and Jay-Z," and you'll see what i mean. |
