Sandopolis Act 1

Has anybody played Kirby's Return to Dreamland yet? I just got it and I'm liking to so far. I think I can see what they were going for with the title. Basically, Kirby's Return to Dream Land is another Kirby game for the Wii. There hasn't really been an orthodox Kirby game in years, the most recent I believe was Squeak Squad, which was a short portable game. I'm a fan of Kirby, but I didn't like Epic Yarn much at all, along with Mass Attack. Epic Yarn was trying to stay with the Kirby idea of being easy for beginners while being fun and challenging for advanced players. In my opinion, making it so you couldn't die just wasn't a clever option even if they were trying to make it easy for beginners. I didn't like the music or graphics all that much, though I believe at least the latter is personal preference. Kirby's Return to Dreamland changed that by going back to the old Kirby rules. The first thing I noticed upon trying the game out was that the opening cutscenes and storyline were very reminiscent of the Kirby 64 opening cutscene. Notably, there was no dialogue! Of course, there was dialogue when talking to certain characters instead of letting the player figure it out for their own darn self (it was intuitive and went without saying), but at least they removed the announcer guy from Epic Yarn. When starting the level, I noticed the physics were very similar to the old Kirby games like Kirby 64 and Super Smash Bros., along with the Kirby series' trademark eye-bleeding happy art style. The name of the game is Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and that basically say it all. Kirby has returned to his Dream Land games origin, and I'm liking it very much! Of course, that's just the opinion of a fanatic of the Dreamland series, so I'd like to hear others' opinions of it, too. |

I'll be there every step of the way...

I have it, and I really dig it. I was a pretty big fan of Epic Yarn, though, from music to graphics to the announcer guy and everything. I thought it was all very charming. I can only agree that it was far too easy, but the environments kept me interested. But yeah, I'm pretty far in Return to Dream Land, and I gotta say, it's very, very cool! I need to beat it, though. Yep.

Also Epic Yarn was totally ruined after that pants comment. Once i heard that this game exists, i was like "Thank you! Thank you, Nintendo!" Despite how i wonder why DeDeDe and Metaknight teamed up with Kirby, i seen this game and i love it. |

I really want this. When I saw an add for it it reminded me so much of Kirby 64, which is one of my fave games out of the series. |
