It's pretty self explanatory, all roleplays involving official characters or fan characters go in their specific board. Then both those sub-boards both have the private rp section, starter rp etc. Because ultimately I'm not one for making fan-characters because all of them don't really fit with the official ones. I think the RP boards are fine as they are. It's up to the creator or participants in an RP to make it clear whether people are using fan or canon characters, they shouldn't need a board to make that clear for them. Also what happens in the event that an RP might actually contain both canon and fan characters? That'd kind of screw up the whole system. Plus there are other instances such as original settings with original characters. And then RPs from a completely separate work of fiction that isn't Sonic related at all. tl;dr: We probably don't need to fix what ain't broke. :P

Creators of roleplays such as myself usually make it clear right at the start what the general setting for the roleplay is, and what characters are allowed. We don't need a sub-forum to tell us that. If Metallix or another adminstrator does do this, all it would do is clutter the forum up with sub-forums we really don't need. So, it's highly unlikely this will happen. And what isn't broken shouldn't be fixed, it should only be improved on. And so far, I see nothing that we can improve on with the Roleplay Garden as of right now.

If this place would have been dedicated to Roleplaying as a whole perspective, I wouldn't say otherwise. And so far, I think we've managed to pull through more then enough subforums within the Role Play Garden with the PR, BR, AR, Org XIII and the Tournament. So, what Chaos said. Just add it to the description when adding a new RP. Simple as that, or add it as a specific rule.

We do not need extra boards just so people can distinguish between whether to use fan or official characters.
