The night has worn Brash down and soon he finds refuge in the form of an inn bed. Brash had been sleeping for some time, to rid himself of the horrors he had faced earlier. He had brought food and a new blade, though he wondered, as he slept, if there could have been more out there. What was it that laid within the shadows of the ruins to the eastern shores? The human continued to toss and turn, knocking over the blade to the ground. Dawn had approached. Mm...another day to live. I can be thankful of that. The human wakes from bed and proceeds to ready himself for the day. Upon exiting the inn, after eating breakfast and greeting his adopted family members, he looks to the current area and notices two events occurring: he had caught a glimpse of the dragon-like being exiting the compound and found that many of the soldiers, along with volunteers, have begun to fortify their defenses and look over their current inventory. "Hmm," the human grunts as he walks towards the inventory check. He then spotted Sunrise and Jason to the west and headed in their direction. "Morning you two. Say, I don't suppose that people might be going out for a quick search outside the compound? In particular, right by the eastern shores?" He was curious to what was further in the ruins at the eastern shores, but knew this time that he must get permission. He could not risk sneaking out under the shadow of the night once more. |

So, with their journey still undecided, it looked good, like any alternative, apart from one minor grudge, who the female drake saw fit to share. "No offence Brash, but we've abandoned the ruins for natural reasons. Our enemies are found of the darkness, and we can't risk jeopardizing our very own lives." As much she'd valued safety, a certain husky saw any opportunity not wasted. Who knows, if the owner, now owner of a most fine fashioned sword, all credit to the mistress. Nevertheless, what if there's more to it, within the murky and raggedy depths of sanity. "I may not speak loudly about our enemies found, in any tactical endeavor, but if I may. I'd rather say we search any cranny, could be more then we had hoped for... right?" Backing up Brash's tip, though he weren't much more then a vessel in this great wheel of operation. Initially it would go through the appointed leader, a gecko, who's strong side seemed so far, ordering around, while he maintains at his chair, drinking. He wouldn't want to admit such out loud, and refrained from doing so. Sunrise seemed hard to convince, looking rather dismissive at first, but a few minutes thought, relished her mind into. "Fine, we'll move out, but everyone of us must stay vigilant nearby, as we do not know what we'll meet down there. Not much in saying goes, as soldiers would follow the mistress command. Everyone taking a seat, even for such a short ride. Gates unlocked, upon glancing in the distance the ever marching fella. Finding him strange, yet peculiar, only by time and frivolousness encounters may they learn his purpose. Arriving about five clicks from the base of operations. Before em, an exceedingly stretching forest, with the mountain staring from a distance. While relative small from it's first appearance, there's so much that they wouldn't know that's dug inside it's ancient architecture. "Make sure we've have plenitude with light-source materials, such as lanterns and flashlights, as we wouldn't want to find our self running out of batteries, nor fire." Sunrise felt the leader in any situation, though admittedly she had no idea whether this human could be trusted, after all, they've barely met, and it's only by time, that may change. ((You wanna take the lead?)) |

(Yeah, I got this.) Thank you. The human thanked the husky in spirit and joined the small squad in their trip across the ruins, where a sea of trees stood tall. He remembered to bring the blade Sunrise brought back to life and had nearly forgot to bid farewell to the little girl, as well as the others he could find before leaving. "Man," Brash sighed, shaking his head once the vehicle stopped and everyone was gathering their supplies. He holds his head as another flashback plays, though was interrupted when one of the squadmates shook him to be ready; the human nods and readied himself. "If I may, I would like to scout out the area first..." The human ended up leaving to scout before anyone had a say-so. One soldier, who had his eye on him for suspicion, had wanted to stay by the human's side, though felt that his place was with the squad. Brash continues forward, carrying the sheathed blade on his left hip, the strap keeping it from falling off. Step. Step. Step. Nothing out of the ordinary seemed to occur. Step. Step. Crunch. The human looks down and finds a broken twig; he breathes calmly and resumes his search. "I," he whispers to himself, "...hmm. I feel like--" The wind caressed the human's body. "What? Who's--?" Brash went for the hilt of his blade, but kept patting his hip and stomach; eventually, he grasps the hilt and tiptoes around the area, on guard. Is...is it happening all over again? (It could be him being paranoid; go and handle this situation however you like, amigo.) |

Already loosing track of this human, acting alone, proving his bravery. Rash decisions that would endanger this whole mission. Yet after been informed of the man's disappearing act, frustratingly looking to each of her followers. "Move out, we have to find this human, before he does something he'll regret upon doing." Quite furious in fact, let alone he weren't under anyone's authority, yet it's quite the daring move, without even seeking her council or advice. Also the frisky canine join's behind her ranks. Checking, upon finding on his right, one of the men, shivering at the constraint thought, their walking into their deaths. "Here." Handing over a small invaluable piece of cloth. Puzzled what the meaning of his retribution were at, only to have an slight glimmer of hope in the dog eyes. "This ain't no ordinary cloth, it's my own personal lucky charm...." "Hush." Sunrise giving the order's, looking ahead into the darkness, a slight shimmer of illuminating before them. "Brash... " Upon finding him, rather acting strangely. Treading careful from behind, upon placing a hand upon the human's right shoulder, turning him around, upon facing him. "Hey... Get a hold of your self." Gentle slapping him across the face, looking to wake him from whatever's brewing in that mind of his. Something odd telling that he weren't exactly normal, so even if she maintained fairly close distance between them, she instinctively relied upon her reflexes, in case he would act differently. The very same eyes that the human had witnessed looked at them within the darkness that swayed in the depths of this ruin. Jason acting first, upon seeing them. "Wow... Ready your weapons men." Refusing to act alone anyone, they didn't wish this creature were one of the berserker's, or something they haven't came across before. ((I'm a bit unsure whether I handled this as I should. Just had to imagine something up.)) |

I...seeeee...youuuu... Wh-what? Reeeelaaaax... I don't--what! The human was grabbed and spun around, forcing him to raise his blade and stare at the 'hostile' entity. "Hush." Brash swings his blade toward the creature's neck, but could not bring himself to slay the being upon the command: [Stop.] "Hey, get a hold of yourself," a gentle slap knock the human back into reality and finds Sunrise standing before him. "...I..." "Please..." One of the soldiers had his firearm pointed to Brash's head, shivering from the 'what-if' had Brash connected with the blade slash. "I'm...sorry..." Brash drops the blade and drops to his knees, panting and holding on to his chest. "Wow..." Jason felt the same uneasiness and stood his ground with his weapon held up to his chest, "ready your weapons, men." The shaky soldier turned his weapon away from the human and focused on the perimeter. Whatever was lying in wait, it will soon make its appearance and only the sky and mother earth will know what can happen next. [Follow.] "What?" the human asks in a stupor, standing up to his feet. [Leave. Now.] "Where?" the human's anger coated his questioning. [North.] Carnivorous roars echo from the southeast and west, startling the human and the young soldier. "No..." [GO!] "We have to move north, now!" "He's going delusional again!" the young soldier readies his weapon towards the human. "IF we stay here, -they- will come and rip us to shreds! We have to go, now!" "But, miss Sunrise will--" The roars become louder and numerous twigs, branches and trees snap. The human bails to the north, urging for the rest to, hopefully, follow suit. "RUN!" I...FOUND...YOU...! "RUN RIGHT NOW!" (You can add some stuff here, if you like =P ) |

Maintaining subtle, even as she were about to have a sword at her neck, she acted without as much a scare toward her own health. Fortunate she may be, the human collapsing down onto it's knee's,"I'm...sorry...". Admittedly there wasn't much to say, apart from the husky building up each and everyone already tensed shoulders. Half of the crew, most certainly wouldn't trust the human's intentions by now, yet it was no mistaken. The sound of thundering hooves, roaring echoing down the halls from whence they came from. As if they've been lured into a trap. "But, miss Sunrise will--" "Quiet..." The drake ordered the soldier to stand down, whatever's coming, they'd best follow the human. "RUN RIGHT NOW!" Panic struck as some turned their heads toward were the voice appeared from, only to have their bodies ripped apart, barely doing anything to prevent these abominations from continuing their thirst for blood. Most of the team tried to follow behind the human, looking to avert whatever obstacles may block their path. Narrowing the gap between each wall, further frenzy, even to the extent, they wished no more then keeping alive. Pushing aside the husky, who acted in defense, preventing one of the guardsmen a way forward. Only realizing that to late, as the man was butchered into sliced meat. "Oh...! God... What are these." Remaining subtle, not sure whether any weapon could stall the pursuers. At the same time, Sunrise had her eyes on the target ahead, wherever the human was leading them. Hopefully it would serve as a way, averting the monstrosities looking to disembowel them for supper. Panting quite heavily as she tried to learn what Brash was intent to do by running further into the ruins of unknown. "You... know... where we're headed?" Before quickly confirming that her men was still at bay. The more men they loose now, would be catastrophic, considering their already on an shortage. |

[Do you?] The human huffs and puffs as he scrambles on ahead of the team, looking every which way from his constantly-shifting eyes. [Do you know where you are going?] The human yells in anger, which consequently, drives the pursuers to pick up their pace, whomever they may be. "What the--!? WHAT are they!?" a soldier stumbles as he is trying to analyze the situation; he regains his footing and sprints as fast as he could ahead with his firearm in hand. "Damn! What's--HUH!" The human feels light suddenly and looks down into a pit of darkness that swallows him whole. The same begins to happen to the rest of the squad. [...consider this a blessing, for now.] (You can add in some dialogue before falling into said pits; don't worry, I have something in mind, if that's all right with you.) |

Having no alternative then rushing into the depth's of unknown, relying on the human's conspicuous choice of path. Less nonsense, while more determined to survive, it was only then that they were all swallowed whole, and only the distant screams echoing was all that were left of civility. Loud trotting caught those able to prevail, as the creatures brought anything but mercy upon their prey, who failed to make the daring fall into the darkness. ((Hadn't much to say really.)) |

[Flashback] The human talks with the being in a hat, suit and tie, and dress pants, almost conducting some sort of business. The human seems displeased. -Why should I enter this land? Name a good, logical reason why I should.- -Simple,- the being pauses for a moment, tidying up documents, -you may find something about the past, what happened to the Shield Bearer and his companions, and why you...- The last portion is inaudible. -I do not. Don't you tell me I look...- -Then, will you visit the land and find out for yourself?- -I...- -I can give this job to someone else easily; I chose you because you may prove to be a better choice, or am I wrong in my choosing?- The human remains silent. -So, do we have a deal?- -...I...- [Flashback Ends; Soldier; Underground] One of the soldiers awakens, moaning from whatever had just happened; possibly the push of gravity may have been behind the cause. He grasps his rifle and opens his eyes to see a blurred vision of the underground. Dim light shines through a few spots in the ceiling. "Wh-what is...?" he sputters out, letting go of the rifle for a moment to rub his eyes and readjust his semi-blurred vision. A black-and-white demon, baring its jagged canids, and staring at the downed soldier with a nasty grin and solid white eyes welcomes him, the words 'HELLO, PREY' splattered in red on the demon's chest. The soldier quakes from its sudden coming and grabs at his rifle; he stops himself and looks up to see that the demon was gone. A cold sweat runs down the soldier as he finally makes an effort to stand. His vision clears as he makes his stand and finds the same demon about inches from his face, with that same nasty grin. [MINE. YOU'RE MINE.] The demon lunges forward and passes right through the soldier, bringing him down to his knees and back on the ground, its laughter echoing in the soldier's ears only. MINE. YOU'RE. MINE! Brash wakes up and yells in an unearthly manner, grabbing at his chest as he snaps out of it and shakes. |

There's absolutely nothing to fear. Jason's mind set, looking across his shoulder in fear of of someone staring down on him, from behind. "Whew!" Feeling alone, what had become of the other's. Surely relying on renewed safety by following an endless pit, surrounded by nothing more then darkness is practically suicidal. The fact, it's the first time he had no one else around for the first time since he arrived on this godforsaken land, it's also the first time he felt scared, as a firearm can only do so much, in matters of survival. A nib in the husky's rump, was only the fact he had taken the fall upon an rather nasty rock... " "Blood." "I'm not fainting, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll pass." The human where was he? And as for the female drake, what about her? None could be seen through the shred of black shroud neglecting any sort of vision around him. Careful finding his footing, it would only be a matter of time, before they'd pick up the smell, finding their way down, looking to feast upon his flesh. Yet Jason wouldn't allow such, not unless he have no where else to go. Careful making progress, using his paws, providing a cold touch to his fur, but at least he won't knock his head, because of the low roof. That's when the eerie silence seized to exist. He felt a presence, something that almost set the canine paralyzed, unable to move, apart from his ears twitching about, trying to analyze from were this crammed, yet soothing pitch of sound appeared at. "Who's infiltrating my home, you'd best answer me now warrior, or I'll cut you to pieces." Quickly turning around bout one-twenty degree's toward his left, finding an rather unusual being before him. "What... What the hell are you?" Rather impulsive, whether it looked to strike fear, yet upon looks, it ain't much to be fretted about, true is, the little one's half the dog's size in height, with an rather sleek built body. Face doesn't exactly feel much ordinary ether, as it's like a shifting between a bull and some sort of bird, with a beak as it's mouth. "Must be some sort of demon, can't think of any animal who looks as atrociousness like this fella. Drawn from his thoughts as the critter voice emits in the cold cave. "Shut up! I'm the one who asks around here, now state your business before I make some delicious cranberry sauce out from your blood." Laughing quite diabolic, it's no doubt this demon can't be trusted, but following along on it's terms might prove wise, so Jason acknowledges the unusual one's demands. "I wish you no harm, creature. I fell down, hoping I would regroup with the other's, but apparently there must have been diagonal paths diverted, yet for crying out loud, I'm not one to choose a path during free fall. So help me out little fella and I'll promise I make you a meal you won't forget. Attempting to persuade a demon isn't the best idea, but worth a shot, considering it might know the ways around these depths. "Why do you think I want your food, dog. I can easily make a meal out of your bones, and that delicious inmate...." Drooling viciously, eyes glimmering. "Hey... Watch it with that." Jason retreats a step backward, unsheathing his weapon, though upon flicking after it, with his hand, nothing. "Oh no! I must have lost it. Crud, what am I to do now?" Looking rather nervous, as unarmed, he's a much easier target. "Okay okay! What can I do for you, in return finding my ways out from this hell hole." |

"...aaaaaAAAAAAHH!!" the human scrambles to his feet, as if an unearthly presence yanked him from his slumber and tossed him on to his feet to play a cat-and-mouse game. "What!! H-how!!" he shakes his head, grabbing hold of his chest to help put pressure against his quick-ticking heart; he gasps for breath and looks upon the area, finding two other soldiers : one near him and the other in the distance. He runs toward the nearest soldier and bows down on one knee, grabbing and shaking the anthro soldier. "---up!! Wake up!!" DOOOO NOOOO SUUUUCH THIIIING!! Brash jumps back from the thundering voice and suffers a blurred vision as to which he tends with. "...I--" LEAVE. "These soldiers--" ARE MINE FOR THE TAKING. "B-but," the human gulps, now knowing what fear is; 'twas worse than at the time at the graveyard, for he knew not what he was dealing with. WISH TO JOIN?? {Ohh, what do I do!? I...I have to give him these soldiers! Give -who- these soldiers, I wonder.} "Damn it! I, -we-, mean you no disturbance, whatsoever!! We were all just finding a way out--" THEN YOU WILL FIND A WAY OUT FROM THIS PLANE OF EXISTENCE, THROUGH MY STOMACH!! The ground shook ever so violently from a single footstep, BOOM, and another, BOOM. The human's mind was a blank, still petrified with fear. {I...I don't...} The human suffers the sniffles and almost loses it right there and then. {No} / "No." Brash then snaps himself out of the hesitation that held him back from any action, and within a moment, he has the nearest soldier in his arms and escapes in the opposite direction. He did not want to look back to see what the other's fate could be, for that may bring back the horror. A while passes and the chase has ended; the two wanderers have successfully made it to safety, wherever safety was at. "...Wh--!" the human's legs give out and he drops, not only himself, but the soldier he had carried to the ground. The human holds on to his chest and shakes his head. "This...what is happening to me...!" {Fallen Soldier} WAKE UP, FODDER. The soldier's seemingly, lifeless body remains still. DO YOU WANT TO DIE HERE, FAR FROM YOUR LOVED ONES? The anthro's eyelids twitch, along with the rest of the body. He could feel the wind brush coarsely against him. WHO WOULD MISS YOU ANYWAY? The wind changes direction and stops to blow fiercely from above the soldier; he opens his eyes and rolls to the left instinctively, his fingers dug in the ground, feeling the wind velocity die instantly. He gulps and looks around, spotting the human in his delusional state. He pats himself to relinquish his firearm, but finds he is without one, let alone a decent weapon to defend himself with. "S--s-stay where--you are!!" HAHAHAHA!! THAT, IS RICH! "I...have a firearm...! I won't...I'll pull the tr-tr-trigger!!" DO IT! / "DO IT!" {Brash} "Who else...? I'm not alone?" "...I'll...pull the tr-tr-trigger!!" The human slowly looks to the soldier's fallen body and finds that a problem had presented itself: the body is no longer fallen and is standing inches from him with a firearm present. "N-nooo. I--I--" TOO. LATE. Gunfire roars all through the underground. (Sooo, sooo sorry that I have taken this long to reply to this RP, amigo. I'll make it up from here on out, so long as work hasn't worn me down, )
