Carnival Night Act 1 Posts: 189 Group: E Rank Guardian Member #10,598 Joined: December 17, 2009 Gender: Male	So I was looking through some writings I've done both in recent and in the past, and it got me thinking, I should post a topic relating to this idea. The reason I say song AND poetry writing, is because in many cases, they can sort of be one in the same. In my case, for example, I try to write songs that tend to be a bit more poetic in nature, though I also try here and there at writing just solid poetry. Allow I to share with you some of my writings, if you would not mind.... Spoiler: click to toggle My Cry Hello little child of mine, can you hear my cry? I stare upon reflections past, can’t help but wonder why Why would you ever be seen like this, expressions of a lie I shall not fake a wasteful bliss, oh child I wish to die Alas I can’t So much to do Must share my view I’m here for you I see the light, it shines so bright To loving faces it causes fright I turn my back on it despite On it despite On it despite The fact of the matter Will to live will shatter The foundation carries on Hands of many holding strong I cannot die, I must live on For streams of tears a mile long Show me right where I belong Where I belong must carry on Remain strong! Oh ho ho so very strong! But I can’t, Oh no!, I can’t carry on! That's up to the moderators to decide. These two poems we're very well written and definitely had some emotion in them, I like that. I love a work that can draw you and captivate you simply by reading it making you feel a whole degree of emotions like that.

Being shy does ya no good, how will you ever know if your work is enjoyed by others if ya don't put it out there? Plus, this is one of the best audiences you could have for such things lol. But yeah, I'll go and check out your blog a bit, but I still say post a thing or two on here. lol @Kale: Well my advice is don't focus on trying to be clever or stick to a formula.... just free flow, let your emotions and things do the writing, those turn out much better than when people really try lol. @Virgil: idk. To me, the library is a tad more Sonic related, it's more stories and things, where as this topic is more of a hobby, and the Entertainment Section here does list hobbies off as something to post within. Not to mention we can post songs or things we've done too. Which I may do if anyone is interested lol. And thank you for the kind words about my writings, I appreciate it. Those are some of my personal favorites. It's kinda funny, My Cry was written when I was half asleep, and just had emotion pouring through me. To me that was my most raw emotioned writing I've ever done lol.

When I write them I try to be a bit abstract and overly descriptive, as to make them seem more deep than they actually are lol.
