Simply click on the "Like this post" next to the report/quote button on the post to like it. I dabbled in this before but it just did not work right without an image for it and using one image for all skins just made it look ugly. I discovered a way to make it work differently for each skin and made the effort to make different images for it so it now looks good in each skin.
