HARD WORK AND GUTS. Posts: 258 Group: B Rank Guardian Member #12,498 Joined: November 4, 2011	"You really think they'll show up?" "They showed interest. That's more than you got out of the rest of them. I'm sure they'll arrive." To anyone else, the place that these two were at would hold little significance. Maybe a cave for extreme spelunkers or hardcore archaeologists, but nothing of interest to the common person. Unless they knew what was already inside. It was a cave, much like any other, nestled away in the middle of a gorge that few ever travelled. An insignificant location to everyone outside of the cave. But it was deeply significant for the two standing at the entrance. Tiara and Agare had spent the last month searching the outside world for people who would believe in their story and would be willing to help them in this situation. It was a difficult task, given how wild their story sounded. Both of them lived in a great Kingdom contained within the one cave they now stood outside. The dank and rather unexciting little cavern allegedly held this Kingdom. This was where most people would've stopped listening and called them both insane. But some persisted in the story either for kicks or genuine curiosity. A kingdom of magic and technology, all merged into one. And now it was a kingdom in danger. This was the point that most people thought they were crazy. Only heroes would've listened to their pleas beyond this point. They sought out people who would be able to help them fell a potentially tyrannical regime and stop outright war with the rest of the world. They found few who were interested, but those few may be the only people they needed to overthrow a corrupt government. The gales were increasing, rushing through the contours of the gorge and sending sand from above careening through. Tiara was already wearing her glasses, so her eyes were readily shielded, but her hair was not. Agare, meanwhile, simply squinted, keeping his view towards the entrance of the gorge. As Tiara began furiously shaking her head to remove excess sand, Agare spoke up. "You should perhaps shelter in the cave entrance. I'll keep and eye out for them. They should be arriving soon anyway." he said simply, knowing Tiara's current frustration without even looking at her. She began ruffling her ponytail with one hand, her quiff with another. "No, I'm staying out here. When they get here, I want them to know we're 100% serious. Not just some freaks looking to lure people into a cave into some unknown location, just to beat them to death for their money or worldly possessions." she quickly rambled. This made Agare turn his head slightly to her, one eye visible from her point of view. He was thinking about the image she had just bought up and he had to agree... it was quite possibly one reason why so many people didn't wish to go with them. At least, maybe not with him anyway. He did have a criminal look about him. He faced forward again, losing that thought quickly. "I still think you should shelter." he said, a tiny tone of resentment in his voice. "They'll come for sure." ((Just a brief note, in your intro, please feel free to choose whether it was Agare or Tiara who approached your character with the proposition. Agare would likely make Trochadero seem epic, and focus on the adventurous aspect of the journey, while Tiara would speak of the wonderful technology and treasure they had in the world, contrary to how the legend played out.))

Minerva asked as she swung from tree branch to tree branch, following her partner Vida, who jumped from branch to branch. "Well, the coordinates they gave us indicate that it's not far from where we are now," she said as she inspected a holographic map. Minerva and Vida weren't exactly from Mobius, but rather a neighboring planet. The monkey was a ranger from a special forces of rescuers who were in alliance with a league of fighters led by Vida's uncle, Skye. The hedgehog-chameleon normally aided the higher ranks of the rangers, along with the granddaughter of the most successful company in their planet. But, for reasons unexplained, Vida had been asked to accompany the low-rank Minerva on a mission to Mobius. She didn't mind the situation- low ran or high rank, all rangers were noticeable people in the community. This, however, didn't help disperse the tension between them. Minerva still can't understand why she was chosen for a mission as prestigious as to represent the rangers in another world, nor why her partner was the Vida Sangster. She wasn't a rookie, but she wasn't a veteran either. What did help alleviate this tension was meeting Agare and Tiara. They had come across a city and had split up to cover more bases when Minerva bumped into Agare, who told her of a stupendously great journey to a hidden kingdom that was in a political and catastrophic predicament. What the human had to say picked the simian's intrigue right away. She wasn't sure how she would persuade Vida into coming along, but she was confident she would fin a way. So she agreed to help out. Elsewhere in the city, Vida had been approached by Tiara who told her about kingdom full of treasure and technology of the likes she had never seen before. The hybrid had remained skeptical all the while, but ultimately succumbed to the girl's plea to help. She didn't know how she would explain this to Minerva but as soon as they reunited and gathered up their tales, they realized they had both agreed to help out the same cause. So they decided to head out right away to the meeting place. Perhaps the strangers' tale might have struck others as odd, but not to these two. They're technically aliens, all things considered, though they've found very few differences between their kind and the Mobians, so really. How could a hidden kingdom be all that strange? Not to mention the duties of the third party of their colonies' alliance... No doubt about it, this wasn't strange. "There!" Vida finally said as she jumped off the trees and pointed towards the gorge. Minerva landed next to her and looked out in the direction. "Then there should be a cave nearby..." she mutters. The two walk towards the cave and in the distance see the two that had contacted them. "That's him," the monkey said. "And that's definitely her," the hybrid replied. "I guess it's the same mission after all."

She wasn't exactly sure how close she was to the cave, and she hoped that she was in the right area. She carefully spread her wings to be able to tell where the wind was going and hopefully find the tell-tale chill in the air coming from the cave. She was nervous, but excited at the same time. Angela yearned for excitement in her life, an escape from the every day. Her parents worried about her constantly and wanted to give her a sheltered life, a life she didn't want at all. She ignored their protests about her disability; she didn't care if she was blind, she was capable of being independent all on her own. She'd been in danger many times before, and had been able to handle herself. Of course, her parents weren't aware of this. Some time ago, Angela had taken it upon herself to use her powers where they were needed, being careful to conceal her identity. Robberies, kidnappings, it thrilled her to be able to use her powers to stop criminals in their tracks. However, this was something more, this was an adventure unlike any she'd ever dreamed before. Agare's description of what awaited in the world beyond had been too good to pass up. She'd left without her parents' knowledge, not wanting to worry them. She didn't care about what they might do if they found out where she'd gone, this was the chance of a lifetime. It had also seemed that she wouldn't be alone as Agare had spoken of others who would be chosen for the task at hand. That fact had made her feel slightly safer, though she knew she'd have to pull her own weight as well, which suited her just fine. Angela felt a change in the air and looked towards the cave, realizing she must have found it. She smiled, heading towards the cave while still making sure there wasn't anything dangerous in front of her with her cane. This was it, there was no turning back now. She'd come this far, it would be foolish to back out at the last minute, even if she wanted to do so. She braced herself as she approached the cave, ready to take on anything that this venture might throw at her.

But there was in fact a good percentage that would lead some to believe it to be true. There was only one possible way to determine whether they were fact or fiction; investigate yourself. Sen witnessed a girl roaming around the city, spreading her story of an advanced civilization hidden deep in a cave. This civilization could obtain advanced knowledge and technology useful to Sen and his organization. Sen was on his way to this "mystical" place to see for himself. Despite he was walking, Sen was walking ON AIR. Sen was walking through the sky to his destination. Part of his abilities allowed him not only to fly, but act as if the sky was solid ground. He looked down, seeing travelers already arriving outside of this cave. The same girl from before also caught his eye. The hedgehog decided to wait out his investigation in the sky until they made a move.

However, the story itself seemed like someone read a fair tale and decided to live it out. Either way, this story wasn't hard to swallow by Derrak. In fact, Derrak had a story similar to this one. He isn't exactly from here. And when I say here, I mean from this planet. Its a long story, but Derrak is now stuck on this planet, trying to figure out a way to get back to his own. While he is doing so, or not doing so, he manages to get himself into these wild and crazy adventures. This time however, the adventure came to him. Of course he was more than excited to part take in this. Even if they were lying through their teeth, he couldn't pass up a chance to venture into another place. Maybe he'll find what he needs to get back home in this Kingdom place. "All of these caves look the same... Is it labeled maybe?" Derrak spoke to himself through his suite's mouth pieces, which distorted his normal voice and made him sound a bit robotic and ever so slightly muffled. "I wonder how this place would look... Hm, maybe they'll be-" He cut himself short when he saw a figure up ahead. Correction, two figures... Correction, now there is four figures. "Huh..." Derrak spoke as he slowly approached the cave. He looked all around the gorge and finally managed to find four people standing in front of the mouth of a cave. "I'm pretty sure I passed this place before, and didn't see them here before... Or maybe I didn't, and I'm loosing my mind." He states as he continued his steady stride. "Yo ho! Greetings, fellow lost people! I'm looking for one Agare and one Tiara." Derrak spoke out, waving his hand once to greet them. However, his arm rested on one of his pistols. He wasn't stupid, ya know. These people could be murders, folks that just want money and/or whatever they can snag from anyone who crosses their path. Either way, should something happen, Derrak knew he wasn't alone. Something was in the sky, as his suite indicated that a foreign object was motionless in the air. Derrak as seen this before, and normally the times he had seen this, he was attacked from the sky first. What has he gotten himself into now he wonders.

She had to be careful, she could run into anything at anytime. She soon hit the mouth of the cave, and saw a few people standing there. She walked over to them and bowed, she had been called for something. ''Hey there, losers. What did you need ME, the fabulous and powerful Jay for?'' She sneers, obviously full of herself. She looks up and down the others, disgusted at them. ''Just...don't make me work with the other disgusting people.. I work alone. By myself. I'm only here to prove myself.'' She grins. She had always been full of herself and chances were that wouldn't change. She chuckled and crosses her arms, looking forward. ''So what do you need me for? I'll do anything as long as I don't have to work with these disgusting creatures.''

Though some of them remained out of sight, Agare caught glimpses of others in the distance. It shouldn't take them long to finally reach the caves. The first to arrive was a strange looking man. Rather ironically, neither Tiara nor Agare knew who this man was and in turn, how he got here but he apparently knew of them. Tiara expressed surprise, but Agare typically did not. Rumours always flitted about. There were likely people going around in the cities they'd visited, calling both of them crazy people and retelling the story. It was almost like free publicity. That could've been good or bad though. As soon as the mysterious man made his question, Agare stepped forward one pace to answer. "I am Agare. The lady behind me is Tiara. What makes you seek us out? Are you here about Trochadero?" he asked bluntly, little variation in tone or facial expression. Tiara, in the meanwhile, was watching in the distance at the small group of people rapidly approaching. The dust was making it difficult to make out who it was from this distance, but a silhouette was good enough to provoke her into waving at those in the distance, hoping to signal them to come over this way. "Hooooi! If you're here for the Trochadero Revolution de Jour, we're over here!" she yelled, accompanying her wave. Her little joke made Agare wince for a moment. Wasn't it Tiara who wanted to be '100% serious' about all this? Though she was trying to lighten the mood, it didn't seem too helpful when an arrogant bat strolled right into their midst. Tiara recoiled at her mudslinging on their group. Agare, however, narrowed his eyes. He made no move to turn to the bat, but his eyes were indeed focused on her now. He didn't look happy, but then again, he never usually did. But inside his head, the potential racism that Jay slung out was starting a fire in his mind that he felt needed to be quelled. Her line about working alone was perfect bait for him to respond though. "You work alone, you fight alone, you die alone. I can guarantee an outlander wont last 5 minutes on their own in Trochadero now." he stated bluntly once more. He was at least partially right. Trochadero held things none of the people here would likely understand straight away. Attempting to fight it alone was a bad idea. Even Agare had second thoughts about taking on things by himself, and he'd already been living there for a year. "You're here because there's a Kingdom in need. Be it materialistic gain, spiritual or even just the chance to be some kind of hero, you have a reason for being here." he answered the bats second question, without addressing the continuing hatred towards other people. Tiara had since recovered from her recoil, and she'd resumed flagging down the others in the distance. ((I just totally noticed my typo in the title... Torchadero... ''Ugh, fine.'' She turns to the others that were here, ''Just don't get in my way, don't talk to me, nothing. I'd hate to hang around disgusting, foul creatures like you.'' She put emphasis on you, trying to make it obvious she already had a hatred for them. She wanted to work alone, but was told she would die if she would. So she had no other choice. She had a reputation to keep anyways. She scowled and then turned away, chewing her bubblegum and crosses her arms. ''Just hurry it up, will ya. I don't got all day.'' She pops her bubblegum. She obviously wasn't one for patience and hanging out with others she thought were uncool and disgusting. She chuckles, and starts to tap her foot. ''Any day now.''

She didn't turn towards her, however, having learned that sometimes it was better not to let people know what she was thinking. There wouldn't be much point in turning to face her anyway considering she didn't even know what anyone there looked like. Though she did know that Jay would most likely have trouble without trust in others. Angela herself knew that she'd be most helpful if she helped to support the others and they supported her. Instead of voicing those opinions, however, she instead addressed the issue at hand. "What kind of technology would we be facing?" she asked curiously. She had limited experience with technology since much of it involved visual interfaces, but she wanted to know how well she could expect to do against the technology of the new world she was heading into. She didn't usually like to just run into things, it was always a good idea to at least get some basic information about a situation before taking any sort of action.

Whether he decided to join the group or not was up to him. But with such a large group, it'd be difficult to infiltrate with such a narrow passage to take to their destination. He'd have to make himself known eventually. Upon Jay's arrival, Sen slowly shook his head. "She'll be the first to die..." he thought, seeing her refusing the others help and putting her above the group. Sen could not detect much strength from any of the group, but seeing as his specialty was sensing reiatsu, he couldn't be too sure. The airborne hedgehog decided to wait out of view until he could listen in on any further details. Edited by Eren Jaeger, Nov 6 2011, 03:10 PM.

Upon being greeted, Derrak walked to Agare and Tiara, still keeping his other arm resting on the butt of his gun that hung off the side of his hip. Of course, this rude... thing, was spewing so much trash that Derrak decided to completely ignore her, and would do so through out this entire adventure. Even is she screamed in bloody murder and was being ripped apart, he'd ignore her hollow cries and pretend she doesn't even exist. "Agare and Tiara, I am here to offer my services. I am Derrak, but if you like to, you can call me Rak... As for the rest of you, I hope we can succeed in our-" Derrak stop himself short. His indicator was flashing like crazy as some beeping was also going crazy within his helmet. He looked to his left, where his indicator was directing him to. Who or whatever was over in that direction was either very dangerous, or extremely hostel. Derrak would find his answer soon. Not too far from the cave, gun shouts could be heard. In fact, a lot of gun shots could be heard. These gun shots came from a few men and furries who seem to be chasing a man with a cowboy hat. This man was Kono. The problem with his scene was simple... Kono should be chasing these guys, not the other way around. Either way, he was running for his life as he used the gorge to avoid the bullets that they wildly shot at him. "Come on you dead eye idiots!! Kill this man already!!" One of them, the leader, the one Kono is suppose to capture, shouted to the three other men that were chasing Kono. You see, Kono is a sweeper, or some call them bounty hunters. The difference is, sweepers never kill their targets. Either way, Kono was heading for the cave, making the gun shots louder the closer they got. That was until two of men scream in pain and dropped like flies. "Tired of running?" A dark and evil voice spoke within Kono's head. "They aren't dead... Not yet anyways." Kono replied in a whisper, even though he could of just spoke in his mind back to the evil spirit that is apart of him. Two more shots run out, leading to two more shouts of pain. "Next time, I'll kill you." Kono states as he dropped down on his target, holding his gun to the guy's face as the man winced in pain. Kono tied him up, to which he started to drag the man as he continued to make his way towards the cave. He didn't know there would be people there, to which his eyes spotted them rather quickly. At first he slowed down his pace, thinking they were goons of this bounty of his. Once he saw that they didn't really look all too harmful, he continued to head for the cave. "Let me go- Ahhh!!" The man started to shout to Kono, only Kono popped another bullet into the man's leg to shut him up. "I'd keep my mouth shut fella. You really don't want to annoy me right about now. My chaser is itching to feed on your soul, don't make me kill you." Kono informed the guy, to which he only got more painful grunts as a reply. "Nice party you have here. Mind if I crash it for a bit. I need to treat this guy's wounds, that way hes nice and neat when I turn him in. And this cave is the only shelter like place for-" Kono cut himself off when he took a good look at Tiara. "Oh... You're the crazy girl with that children's story right? Something about a kingdom with treasure... Or something... Yeah anyways, need an extra hand? I could score some treasure right about now. The sweeper business isn't booming at the moment." He tells Tiara, going on a little rant as he completely forgot about the groaning tied up man he was dragging, who now laid there weary and looked as if he'd pass out any second.

Both of them seemed unsurprised to hear such a thing, which, to the observant, might mean something. But this lot didn't seem all that observant. Both Human and Manx ignored the arrival of Kono and his prey. A bounty hunter? Neither of them recognized him. But his words managed to get Tiara riled up. Tiara puffed her cheeks upon being called "crazy" and that her story was a "childrens" one. Why had she found a bunch of insolent and arrogant people... But Agare was the one doing the talking still, so Tiara didn't have to respond to his insults. "Take your business out of our way. This situation is more serious and we don't need any lolly-gagging bounty hunters hanging around." he said, continuing his blunt tone. It seemed like this group would have problems now. The bat didn't seem too cooperative, and Agare was half expecting her to stab them in the back at the time of reward. Agare was actually thankful that Angela had a reasonable question to ask. "We'll be facing off against machines that amalgamate technology from this land mixed with the incredible forces of the aether. I myself possess a piece of this technology..." he explained, drawing out his gauntleted arm from beneath his cloak. He raised it skyward, aiming at a seemingly random point. "A demonstration for you all." he said simply, before his forearm was engulfed in a bright purple light. It began to form into a shape... one that looked like a large bullet. And before anyone could get a good look at it, the bullet of light flew out of his arm, causing some sort of recoil that forced Agare to draw his arm back. The bullet flew upwards, much like a flare, and exploded when it reached a certain point. This would be remarkably close to where a certain hedgehog was floating around, hidden from view. The path the bullet travelled though would penetrate a hole through the veil of dust and all cloud cover. This gave everyone a perfect tunnel of vision toward Sen. Tiara was the first to point him out. "Um... Agare... who's that?" she asked cautiously. Agare looked skyward to see what she was talking about. "Someone spying on us from above." he said humourlessly. Tiara half-shut her eyes at his blunt response. He really was too serious in his work.

Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	At this point, Derrak didn't know what else to say. He was normally the one to talk a lot and be hyped. But with this bunch, he might just want to keep his cool and figure out everyone's angle first. "Teh, you must have me mistaken for someone else." Kono pointed out, also looking skyward at the light show that presented itself. "I'm not a bounty hunter." He informs Agare as he keep his eyes fixed on the sky. Then, he pulled out his gun and twirled it a bit. "I'm not even human... Not anymore." Apperently his chaser was reacting to the person in the sky. This was driving Kono to ease this tension by releasing the chase. the only way this could happen, is if he killed someone while doing so. "Sorry fella. Looks like you're not my meal ticket anymore." Kono states, and suddenly his eyes flash a bright red color. He started to mumble something, a chant of some kind. His chaser doll started to move, then violently shake. Within a few seconds a loud and horrid screech roared out from the doll as the Chaser made its appearance. It roared another evil and haunting screech, to which Derrak grabbed both of his pistols tightly. He was ready to fire upon Kono at any moment. "You summoned me without so much as fighting my urge to be free." The Chaser told Kono. The Chaser towered over Kono as it floated off the ground, staying real close to Kono as it slowly placed it's skeleton hand upon his head. "You complaining?" Kono asked as he pointed his gun at the tied up man. The Chaser lifted its scythe as Kono cocked his gun. "No... I simply stated a fact." The Chaser replied as Kono stared into the man's frightened eyes. "Whatever." Kono fired his gun, and at the same time the Chaser swung his scythe. The tied up man screamed in pain for only a moment before his soul was ripped away from him and consumed by the Chaser. "You had your meal, now return." Kono ordered, to which the Chaser quickly returned into the doll and vanished, which also caused Kono's eyes to return to normal as well. Kono calmly put his gun away as he sighs. Suddenly he clenched his chest and dropped to his knees, grunting a bit as something started to happen to him. Kono's appearance slightly changed. He looked one year younger now as he continued to hold his chest in attempt to calm the pain. Once it passed he sighed heavyly. "That... That was my demonstration... Still think you don't need me." Kono states, standing up as he tightened his fist, almost as if he hated himself for bringing the Chaser out. Derrak was speechless. Or rather, angered to no end. This cowboy to ate that guys soul! Sure, Derrak heard roamers of such things, but he never thought he'd see a human eat a person's soul. It was always said that monsters and the like did those things... Was this cowboy a monster, or was he a human? "Thaaaaaats... Gross..." Derrak spat out, trying to lighten the mood a bit as he got out of his 'shoot to kill' stance.

Stay Frosty Posts: 193 Group: E Rank Guardian Member #11,924 Joined: March 22, 2011	Although Angela couldn't see the demonstration for herself, she was able to pick up the sound of the magical bullet as it left the gauntlet and how it had exploded up in the air. She also heard something else going on as Kono summoned his Chaser for his demonstration, the screech the doll gave sending chills down her spine that had nothing to do with her abilities. She backed away from the unnatural sounds of the Chaser devouring its meal, hoping that it wouldn't do anything to the rest of them. "Er...If we are doing demonstrations, I'd like to go next, then," she told them, spreading her wings. She flapped them several times until she was near the ceiling of the cave before taking off with a rush, weaving between stalactites on the ceiling with ease as she flew around the cave. She then turned, shooting an ice blast at one of the stalactites before she drew back her cane and rushed at it with enough speed that her cane shattered the frozen stalactite as she quickly swung her cane at it, producing a small shower of ice shards as well as a fine snow-like mist that slowly floated down towards the group. She landed slowly on the ground as she finished her demonstration. Even though she was sure it wasn't nearly as impressive as the one before, she hoped that it was at least sufficient enough to gain some respect from her fellow team mates.

However, one of the people from the ground began to demonstrate their powers. Suddenly, a burst of energy came soaring in his direction. If it wasn't for Sen's quick reaction of warping to the side, the blast of energy would of struck him. Despite he didn't know that the conjurer couldn't see him, Sen took it as a form of attack. The threatened Sen warped down to ground level, landing behind the entire group. He picked his head up and glared at Agare, waiting for a response. Sen wasn't the talkative type however... ((Lol, I feel so obsolete. Everyone has like, story level posts and I barely get two paragraphs out. TT 3 TT))
