Sign Up Here Zin Realm One of the many myths of the Zaro Region, is that there is a mystical realm that is set upon these islands. Some call it an alternate universe, while others all it 'the other side.' This myth was written in the deep parts of the Tosin cave, the largest cave within this region. Most believe that it is just that, a myth. The detail of this realm is unknown, as well as its origin. All that was written about this realm, was the appearance of odd and weird creatures. Some people think that these odd and weird creatures were pokemon that humans haven't seen before. They didn't know where they came form so they made up a myth to explain these new pokemon's appearance. There are some scrolls and cave writing that describe these creatures as non-pokemon creatures. However, more scientist will speak of that being false. There is something lurking in the invisible shadows of Zaro. Strange events have been occurring around two of the islands; Fendus, the second largest island, and Slung, the S shaped island. Both of these islands seemed to be having the same strange events. As well, they were both cut off from the other two islands. A barrier of some kind has placed itself between the four islands. Even when traveling by sea, the barrier can not be breached. A few pokemon trainers have already tried, but nothing works. As well, all communication with the other two islands have been cut off. Little did they know, that the Gero and Ceri islands were going through their own troubles. ============================= We'll be starting off a little bit before the news of the barrier to all over the place. Meaning not everyone knows that there is a barrier splitting the four islands apart. Remember where the starting points are. You may begin whenever your ready. Also, you don't need to rush to Rain Fall City. Explore a bit, catch some pokemon, and I'll be posting news updates telling everyone about the events and so on. Have fun. ========== Begin It was a beautiful morning. The sun was out and shining down on the city of Rain Fall. Of course, the city wasn't called Rain Fall for nothing. A light mist swept over the entire city, making it sparkle as the sun's rays beat down on the city. Everyone always carried umbrellas around. Rain would fall out of nowhere, some times for a long period of time, sometimes for just a few minuets up to an hour. Normally this happened more during the even and night time. So, the mornings are busy as everyone goes out and does whatever they need to do. Of course it is still busy the rest of the time, but more so in the morning. Either way, this morning was like no other! It was full of adventure, excitement, and joy, according to one gym leader named Selen. "Yes!!" She shouts, jumping up and down as he clapped her hands. "Its here Goldduck!! Its here!!" She shouts as a few men were bringing in a large box. "Hello Selen, its good to see you again. My son will be on his way to battle you ya know. Better get ready!" The moving man states with a smirk. Selen only giggled a bit as she waved her hand dismissively. "Oh come on now, you know I'm MORE than ready for anyone to battle me." She replies, then smiles as her Goldduck simply crossed his arms. "Haha, that much is true. Where do you want this?" "Over there please! And I'll also pay for the installing fee." She tells him, to which the man signaled the other guys to move the large and heavy box to where she pointed. Selen was fixing up her gym, seeing as she didn't have much ranger work to do lately. Everything seemed to be calm within Fendus island. Nothing too crazy. "Did you hear about that girl?" She started to hear the men talk as they were installing the device she bought. She stopped as she looked over her shoulder. "Yeah, they say that her pokemon came back from the dead." "I heard it wasn't even her pokemon, and that it was her great grandmother's pokemon, thinking that the girl was her great grandmother." "Creepy huh?" "Nah, I think its a bunch of lies. The news has been pretty boring lately, so they're trying to get more rating by making stuff up." "Yeah, I guess." Selen thought for a moment. She had heard of a similar story like this one. A pokemon coming back to life, as if it never died before. However, with the case she heard, the pokemon's body was never found, so they stated that the pokemon was simply lost. Yet, it has been five years since that pokemon was 'lost.' And the owner swore that he watched the pokemon die. "Hmm... Guess its nothing to worry about. Right Goldduck?" Her Goldduck only looked at her with a serious expression, to which Selen rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll look into it. Maybe professor Spiron knows something." She tells her pokemon, then proceeded to gather the rest of her ranger crew. |

Galdar had just finished a breakfast of eggs and Bacon with his close friend and partner, Zuga. He pulled on his vest and grabbed his Shuckle who quickly climbed along his arm and onto his back wrapping his tentacle like arms around Galdar's shoulders as if he were a backpack. Sticking his head in his shell Zuga closed his eyes and began to snore quietly. Galdar payed the bill, left a generous tip, and headed for the door. He was almost there when a young teenager walked in and saw him. "Your Galdar the gym leader right?" he asked in an annoyed voice. "Uh, Yeah..." Galdar replied a bit unsure of what the young man wanted of him. "Well aren't Gym leaders supposed to Stay at there Gyms so challengers can find them?!" The boy asked angrily, "I've been looking for you everywhere!" "Why?" Galdar asked, the kids attitude starting to get on his nerves. "God, Why did they ever let a fool like you become a Gym leader" he muttered quietly. "your supposed to stay there so it easy for me to find and defeat you!" He continued voice rising. "I'm not liking your attitude kid, but fine lets head over there now." he said. He turned and started walking in the direction of his gym, it was located in the mouth of a cave on the far end of town so it took them about 10 minutes to get there. It had large boulders carved into fang like shapes around the entrance of the cave so when entering it looked like you were being eaten by a large monster. On the inside there were lanterns to keep it well lit and a large battlefield covered in rocks. Galdar walked over to a macine in the corner and grabbed a belt with three pokeballs clipped to it. He turned back and said "I'll be using a team of four pokemon, your free to use however many you want. Do you need to make preparations or are you ready to go?" "I'm ready!" the challenger said confidently. Both battlers took their positions at opposite ends of the field. |

Someone was watching the battle. Either an old teenager or a young adult, with multicoloured hair, indigo-blue eyes, and a mischievous expression. She'd seen the guy, whom she assumed to be the gym leader of this town go into his gym followed by some brat. So she'd followed along. She'd seen this in a vision, how wrong could she be? "Sirknight, Erlade, we're going to watch. I want to know how good this guy is." The Gardevoir and Gallade respectively nodded together and the trio entered the gym. "Mind if I watch?" She didn't expect this gym leader to know who she was, since they'd never met one another. --- Another day, but no more challenges than the usual. There had been one earlier in the week, or so she was told. But the challenger never got close to Vera. So here she was, reading a book. But she was constantly being bothered by a negative energy. There was a serious disturbance, emanating... Oh no, she knew what this was. And it would be perfectly fine to leave it. In fact, it would be much safer to forget it. It was difficult to do so. |

Galdar looked at the newcomer, "Uh.... Yeah sure....." he said having paused to try to remember where he recognized the girl from. "Whatever, I can think about it later..." he thought to himself before reaching up to his shoulder to grab the arm of the only pokemon he hadn't switched out, "Test him out Zuga" He said a as he placed the Shuckle on the floor and it crawled out to the battlefield with a determined look on its face. The challenger laughed "REALLY? A Shuckle?! this is gonna be easier then I thought." with that he grabbed a pokeball and sent out a Combusken. A horn sounded and the battle began with the much more agile Combusken darting out and running circles around the near immobile Shuckle. "Hit it with a Double kick!!" the challenger shouted. Zuga dove into his shell a second before the bird slammed his shell with a heavy kick sending it flying across the room like a soccer ball. When it came to a rest Zuga popped his head out and looked back to the battlefield annoyed at the fact that all the progress he made by slowly crawling into battle was gone. In other words he was completely un-phased by the attack... "W-What?!" The challenger said, surprised that Zuga was fine "Hit em with another one!" So the Combusken ran in again, and kicked Zuga.....again. When his shell stopped rolling Zuga popped his head out still mostly unharmed. "THAT SHOULD BE SUPER EFFECTIVE!" challenger yelled angrily, "WHY IS IT UNAFFECTED!?" Galdar grinned and, despite his rudeness, decided to explain to the challenger what was happening. "There are two reasons your attack was ineffective" Galdar began. "First, while fighting types are effective against rock types, their ineffective against bug, Zuga is both bug and rock types. And second, the Shuckle species has one of the highest defences of all pokemon. Together that means if you keep trying to beat Zuga unconscious your combusken's foot will break first. Now back to the battle, Zuga use earthquake." With a nod Zuga struggled to life his heavy shell off the ground, and then with all his strength and energy smashed it back down. Despite Zuga being weak offensively and only targeting Combusken, the gym gave the slightest rumble. The combusken, whose feet were already bruised from striking the hard shell, fainted immediately. The challenger returned his pokemon, and walked towards the door not saying anything. "Don't you wanna continue?" Galdar called after him confused about why the confident trainer was leaving. "Combusken is my first and only pokemon...." he said angrily as he walked out. "Then come back after training more" Galdar shouted, but he was already gone. |

The girl watched the proceedings, not commenting but clenching her teeth and fists when she saw bratty kid was using a Combusken. Fighting types... She hated fighting types. Well, except for Erlade. He was cool. Erlade looked at Anna in annoyance and she had the decency to look apologetic. He wasn't really mad, she could tell. They watched the battle, Sirknight, Erlade and the girl/woman. She might have felt just a little bad at the brat seeming so downcast, but his behaviour hadn't given him enough credit to stop Anna from laughing. Just a little. "Nice. One hit!" She smiled at the gym leader and stood up. She'd sat on the cave ground with no complaints. Her two Pokemon followed. "Anyways, sorry if I disappoint you here, but I'm not here for a battle, nope. Actually... I wanted to meet all of my colleagues, and you're last, but not least, on the list." |

"Yeah sorry you had to sit on the floor I'm still working on the place..... wait.... did you say.... colleague?" Galdar looked at her for a second as Zuga struggled up his leg, "OF COURSE! That's where I recognized you from your....... Anna I believe it was? The......" He paused in thought trying to remember the type she specialized in, "Psychic type leader?" At this point Zuga was at his knee and Galdar reached down, grabbed him by one of the many holes in his shell and brought him to his back where he quickly latched on and went back to sleep. Galdar motioned for her to walk with him as he went back to the machine and placed the same three pokeballs back on it. |

To P_S and Company "Selen, don't do anything crazy now." Zayo, a fellow pokemon ranger warns Selen as they talk through their computer devices. Selen crossed her arms over her chest and tapped her foot. "What do you mean don't do anything crazy!? This is what we're called to do Zayo! Things like that don't happen!" "Of course they don't! Which is why I'm telling you to stay put and let me handle this." "Well I can't just do that ya know. There IS a dead pokemon sitting in the middle of my gym!! I'm not going to wait around for you to figure out what is going on when its MY problem in MY gym! Tell if you find anything." With that said Selen cut the communication between her and Zayo, not allowing him to get another word in. She sighs as she closed her eyes, trying to stay calm. She turned around to see this old poliwrath sitting in the middle of her gym. It wouldn't move, and didn't seem like it would until it saw its old the master, which was the guy who Selen beat many years ago. Where this guy is she didn't know. "Goldduck, explain to me again what this pokemon is doing in the middle of my gym. I understand that he calms to have passed on and whatever, but what does he want from ME." Her goldduck looked at her for a moment, then back at the old pokemon. "It is as I told you. It refuses to leave until its master is presented before him. It only replies to its great grandson, which is the poliwrath that is currently at my side." Selen's Goldduck could use telepathy to talk to humans, she she forbid her Goldduck to do when anyone is around, even if she was by herself with him she did warned him to not use it. However, this was needed at the moment. Also, Selen managed to gather the rest of her ranger pokmon, which included her Poliwrath, Croconaw, and her Wartortle. "Ask it how it was able to come back, and how did it end up here." All though Selen was staring at the old poliwrath, she was ordering for her own poliwrath to speak to it. And so it did, to which Goldduck paid attention as the old poliwrath slowly and calmly replied. "It..." Her Goldduck paused for a moment, then spoke to the old poliwrath to make sure it was clean on what it was told. Of course the old poliwrath didn't reply until Selen's poliwrath asked the question. "It says... It says it came from Zin. It walked through Zin and was lead back here... I'm sorry, I believe its current wording is, it was lead back INTO here." "That... That doesn't make any sense. Where is Zin? I have never heard of a place called Zin before... Anyways, I think I know how to handle this better." Selen soon took out her cell and dialed for her close friend, Anna the Psychic Gym Leader. The phone started to ring, and as soon as Anna would pick up, Selen's first words would be. "Who, or what, or where is Zin." Her tone of voice would be serious, to which Anna would know that this would be urgent. |

Meanwhile in the city of Cebon.... There was one guy currently in a restaurant where it seemed mostly empty. His attire was alot different than the average person in that city. He had long ordered for his breakfast of pancakes and oran berry juice. He eventually finished all of his pancakes as well as his juice. By the time he was done however someone else came in and ordered something as well. "Excuse me sir, but do you happen to know where this town's Gym Leader is?" asked the trainer. Hearing that he turned to the trainer who seemed to be female. "Who knows? He could be anywhere around here. Also the gym is pretty much closed until 11:00 anyway." He had answered to the girl. She had looked at him with a somewhat disappointing face. "Whaaat?! Its cloooosed?! Aww, I guess I'll have to wait now..." the trainer said as she then noticed her food had arrived. She then began quietly eating her breakfast. "Don't worry, kid, if I happen to see him I will let him know he has a challenger. You might be one to put up a good battle for him." He had told her as he was leaving the restaurant. As he left the restaurant he let out a loud, obnoxious burp satisfied with what he had just ate. He had then looked inside his locket revealing a watch and a picture of someone. The light was reflecting on the picture however concealing it with its bright reflection. He looked at the time and noticed he had about fifteen minutes. "Eh, I guess I had better go ahead and get over there now. That trainer will be there sooner or later." He said to himself as he began walking in the direction of his gym. He eventually got to his gym and walked up to the door and looking up. He then gave it a good kick knocking down a key that he then caught and used to unlock the door panel. He then took off one of his gloves and pressed the back of his right hand to the scanner which accepted it and unlocked the gym's doors. "Yeah, no shit." Anna said, but she didn't mean it nastily. But the obvious was stated, since Sirknight and Erlade were right beside her, so she had to comment on it. She got up at the gesture, Sirknight and Erlade both following her. "Is that a heal machine? These guys are a little tired, we've been-" Anna's phone suddenly rang with a rather loud techno beat. "Oh, sorry, gotta take this..." Caller ID... Selen. Huh, wonder what she was calling about... Anna flipped the phone open. Before she could say anything though, Selen had asked her question. "Zin? Um... I... Doesn't ring a bell..." She paused to consider this. "Do you guys know what Zin is?" Erlade shook his head, no, but Sirknight seemed a bit troubled before also answering no. "Sirknight?" "There is much I don't understand. But Zin is a word from another time. I don't know the meaning of it, however, Anna." "All right, well, it's fine. Sel, what's going on?" |

Galdar chuckled nervously at her first comment, "Well, uh.... I guess they probably could've been a clue...." Embarrassed that he didn't notice something so obvious he was kind of gad when her phone rang. "No Problem, I'll prepare the machine." he said in response to her apology, He walked over and began pressing some buttons, he figured she might be a minute so he healed any damage the sturdy shuckle may have taken during battle, then after replacing Zuga on his back he pressed the buttons for another round of healing. Then he motioned for Anna to place her pokemon in the machine. |

To P_S and Gym Leaders "Whats going on? Well for starters I have this old poliwrath sitting in the middle of my gym. According to my own poliwrath, this old one died several years ago... Anna, this poliwrath came back from the dead, and mentioned something about Zin... I don't like this. I'm going-" Her phone beeped which cut off what she was going to say next. "Hold on Anna, I'm getting another call." With that, she put Ann on hold and switched over to speak to Zayo, the one who was calling her. "Selen, don't go near that pokemon!" "What? What are you talking about?" "Look, something is happening. Fendus and Slung island have been cut off from Gero and Ceri. We're not sure what exactly is going on, but we can't get any responses from the other two islands. Also, there have been reports of once dead pokemon reappearing, and most of them were not friendly. There is going to be a ranger meeting soon. I'll let you know the details once its arranged. I have to go but tell the other gym leaders to help out with these strange cases. Got to go, see ya soon." Apparently he was in a rush and ended the call rather quickly. Selen just stood there with her mouth open a bit, not sure what she should do next. Her mind was pretty much blank, confused, and curious at the same time. At this point her phone automatically switched back over to Anna. While Selen was speaking to Zayo, all the gym leaders got a message from professor Spiron. The message read as follows. Dear Gym Leaders An urgent matter has been cast upon us. Strange events have been taking place as of late. Pokemon that have passed away are now returning to life and roaming about. The earlier cases were harmless, but as more pokemon started to become reanimated, they have also grown more violent and not themselves. We have discovered that these reanimated pokemon have something in common. They all have a red mark somewhere on their body. We have also discovered that these markings will grow over time, which we believe is the cause of their violent behavior. I ask each of you to ensure the safety of whatever town or city you are near by. Once you have done this, or one of the ranger teams or police force has arrived, report to lab in Rain Fall City. Be careful out there. Professor Spiron "Anna..." Selen starts off, not really sure what to say. Selen had received the message but didn't look at it yet. She was a bit taken back from what Zayo just told her. "I think I need help here." She replies, a bit of fear in her voice. The old poliwrath that was sitting in the middle of her gym slowly stood up and focused its now red glowing eyes upon her. "Get here quickly... This old poliwrath isn't alone." She spoke as her eyes widen a bit. Three more old poliwraths, two older then the first and the last younger, walked in and focused their attention on on Selen and her pokemon. Selen closed her phone and hung up on Anna, trying to get herself ready for this pokemon battle she might not win. This wasn't just a pokemon battle. This was a fight for her life. |

"What? The dead are coming back? Selen-" Anna was shocked. Something big was happening out there. Something massive and she hadn't even gotten any warning about it. None at all. Her gift didn't fail her like this. What... A quick triple bleeping noise. A text. Anna checked the message. Dear Gym Leaders An urgent matter has been cast upon us. Strange events have been taking place as of late. Pokemon that have passed away are now returning to life and roaming about. The earlier cases were harmless, but as more pokemon started to become reanimated, they have also grown more violent and not themselves. We have discovered that these reanimated pokemon have something in common. They all have a red mark somewhere on their body. We have also discovered that these markings will grow over time, which we believe is the cause of their violent behavior. I ask each of you to ensure the safety of whatever town or city you are near by. Once you have done this, or one of the ranger teams or police force has arrived, report to lab in Rain Fall City. Be careful out there. Professor Spiron "Galdar, are you getting this too?" But before Anna heard his answer, Selen was back on the line. "Wait, Selen, are you in-" But the line was already dead. Anna turned to Galdar, wide-eyed, almost panicked. "Selen's getting swarmed! The dead are coming back to life! Poke-Zombies! I... I have to..." She began dialing numbers on her phone, still in a frenzied state. --- Vera's XTranceiver began playing music. She quickly answered. "Yes? What? How is this... Yes, I'll... Selen? No, there's no problem. Relax, I'll help her. Okay, Anna. Good." Vera clicked it, ending the call. She took all her Pokemon and walked out. No one would challenge with the dead roaming the streets. "Phantasia, appear." The Luxury Ball opened, revealing her Phanteon. Vera clung to its fur. "Fly, Phantasia." --- Anna clicked her phone shut, but she was still in a bad state. "V is going to help Selen, but she's so far away... What do I..." A sudden roar was heard outside. Anna didn't seem to hear it, close to full-out panic. |

When he walked into the gym's training room he noticed that his pokemon were doing some intense training. He also noticed that Lucario and Infernape were having another sparring session that they normally do. "So, how is everybody here doing?" he shouted out loud trying to get their attention. When he said that the majority of them stopped working out and looked at him. Lucario and Infernape then stopped fighting and looked at him as well. Those two along with Heracross, Breloom, and Poliwrath walked over to their trainer and greeted him. He noticed that one of his pokemon wasn't there and looked around and saw his Scrafty leaning back against a wall wearing its hood. "Heh, it is nice to see you all too. Come on, I will get you all some breakfast." He had then proceeded to walk out of the room with the five following him. he then turned around and said, "Scrafty, if you do not hurry up then it will all be gone." and walked off. His Scrafty didn't say anything, but it did let out a sigh and then followed them as well. Three minutes later they were all in the gym's kitchen and they were all eating their food together aside from the obvious loner like Scrafty. He had then heard his cell phone go off which was right on his left shoulder attached to his sling pack. He had then pressed a button thinking it was a phone call and put it on speaker phone. "You have received a text message. Would you like to add audio?" His phone had told him it was a text message. He found it weird because he never really got that many let alone not really given anyone his number to begin with. "Yes. Add audio to text." He told his phone and then pressed another button. The message then started to read out loud in a computerized voice. The contents surprised everyone and moved closer to their trainer to hear more of it. It even caught his Scrafty's attention hearing about so called undead pokemon that were very violent. "The Professor sent this? I have not seen the Professor in years." He had said to himself. He then stood up and looked around at his team, "Alright, everyone! Quickly finish your meals and meet me in the lobby, we have work to do." he said as he walked off once again while turning off the speaker of his cell phone. They were all later outside of the gym and the gym leader was issuing out a plan. "Here is how it goes, Heracross, your in the skies, Breloom your gonna follow Hercross on foot in the forest area. Poliwrath, Lucario, and Infernape, I want you three to check around the eastern half of town. Scrafty, you and me are going to check the western half of the city. Remember everyone these pokemon will have a weird red mark on them somewhere. Find them and try to get them back here at the gym. Understood?" he then asked them. Infernape, Heracross, and Poliwrath gave him a thumbs up. Breloom and Lucario gave a grunt showing they agreed to it. Scrafty looked up at him and slightly shot his head upward gesturing him, "Got it". With that they all had scattered to their search areas around Cebon City. Galdar Read the message on his phone, "Shit." He mumbled "What the hells happening?" Then he noticed Anna in what seemed to be a panic. "Are you okay?" Before he could hear her response the roar came. "Shit, that's probably one of these.... Poke-zombies now." He looked back to Anna wondering if she was in a good enough condition to fight. Reaching into his 'Backpack' he grabbed two pokeballs and turned back to her, "If you want to wait here for a bit that's fine to...." Edited by GopherKing, Oct 17 2011, 10:56 AM.

Wait? Was he kidding? Of course she wasn't going to wait. Not only did this affect everyone, but she'd specifically been asked to help with the threat. Once her fear was going down, Anna also realized how awesome this would be. Anna Kuragina and her team of AWESOME versus the Poke-Zombies. A bit of a long name, but still great. Pure. Win. If she wasn't under the influence of said emotions, she might have considered their meaning. But Anna was going a bit wild. They were going to beat these things! "Hell no! I'm not missing this! Sirknight, Erlade, you two heal up and meet us whenever you can, kay?" The two nodded and re-entered their Great and Ultra Balls respectively. Anna quickly set them on the machine. "Boopig, Oobemu, away!" Anna pulled out two different Poke Balls and the two appeared. "Whatever's out there, we're gonna show them we're best, okay?" The two nodded. They were ready. |
