Show...Off

This can be for anything. Music/TV Shows/Video Games/etc. List off things you grew up with that you liked and are rediscovering your love for :D

TV wise, I grew up watching a lot of 90's Nickelodeon and some Disney. The ones I remember the most are: Boy Meets World, Kenan & Kel, All That, Rocket Power, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

I've been watching the 90's Are All That on Nick. It's quite silly watching some of the stuff now. But I still love some of the skits they did. Batman TAS/Beyond are still amazing to me, and so is Boy Meets World. I actually just got them on DVD recently.

I also grew up on Star Wars. I didn't watch them for about 2-3 years until they released it on Blu Ray. Now I'm trying to get caught up what's happening in the Star Wars Universe. (Playing Kotor, for example, XD)

Musically, the first band I ever listened to was Metallica and Megadeth. I found the CD's in my dad's office and listened to them and have been listening to all types of Metal since. Metallica is still one of my favorite bands.

I think I've done enough talking for now, your turn. ^_^

i just wwant to be beautiful for this one month
I grew up with Pokemon and Kirby as my games, Sailor Moon and the Powerpuff Girls as my favourite shows (Even though when I look back on the dubbed Sailor Moon, I cringe), and watching a lot of movies. We had Star Wars on tape, so I was/am really into the movies, but not so interested in the rest of the expanded universe.

My music was really varied, mostly a lot of 80's music my dad had. I only heard of a lot of bands that were popular in the 90's a lot later in life, funnily enough. I still like some of the stuff, but I've really moved away from most of it.
i'm actually really sorry bout this

For TV, I grew up on SWAT Kats, Road Rovers, Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Batman, Spider-man, Reboot, and the newer version of Voltron they had with the CGI Voltron. For video games, I grew up on Sonic, Mortal Kombat, Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Spy Hunter, and Mega Man. I've also always been an avid reader, though I can't quite remember which books I can really say I grew up with aside from Harry Potter.

TV wise, I grew up on Sonic Underground and Spongebob. I didn't have my first Game boy until I was 8. So, yeah. But I grew up on 70's and 80's music but when iI was in 3rd grade I started listening to other stuff. Now with me being in 6th grade, I've been listening to hard rock, alternative metal, punk, heavy metal, and rap rock for the past 2 years. LOL if you were born in the late 90's like me to older parents, trust me. You would NOT be listening to the popular stuff near that time. Believe me.

If you don't like Three Days Grace, its probably because you haven't heard of them.
I'm emo/ goth/ punk/ metalhead... Deal with it.

I grew up on very child shows. I used to love old shows like Kim Possible, Recess, Maisy Mouse, Blues Clues and many others. As for music, I listened to the radio A LOT and listened to old artists that were popular then and are not so popular now.

I can't really remember anything else but I had a pretty good childhood.

I have a fondness for some nostalgia, but mostly nostalgic music and experiences.
For some reason, all my memories of 2009 and below are sad. I suffered from depression in the 4th grade to the 7th, so I have bad memories of that naturally. However, none of my good memories have influenced my creativity, so even though the memories are sad, they HAVE helped me very much.

My most profound nostalgic memory is having fake war matches at night time with my frenemies.
I suppose fear is nostalgic for me. Or terror is. Anyway, the illogical fear of dark rooms, Tails Dolls and such are memories that come back to me very well.
I suppose looking for arrowheads and pottery in the many fields near my house and Saturday morning Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon are part of it too, but those are things I have to consciously remember, not an impression that stays with me and affects my everyday life like the earlier things in my list.

If it's shrooms you want, I got a good deal for you, if you're interested.

Video game wise the first game that came to mind was Super Mario World for the SNES. Kirby's Avalanche (Puyo Puyo) and Donkey Kong Country 1-3. With a Gameboy color in hand I quickly dove into Pokemon and, for a solid year, the TCG.

Super Smash Bros was the next thing, until Starcraft: Brood entered my life. GOD I love Starcraft. I still play it to this day to keep my warmed up for when I build my new computer and buy Starcraft 2. =3

TV:

Blues Clue's was the bomb until that replaced Steve D: [screw Bob the Builder, though now that I'm thinking upon it, his phrase sounds familiar, DOESN'T IT OBAMA!?? YES, WE CAN!] Kenan & Kel, All That, Animaniacs, Pokemon, Ed Edd 'n Eddy, Dragonball Z. Fun times.

Music: My day always tuned into the country station every time we got into the car.

I grew up on several shows and games that probably have no significance on anyone else's childhood at all, and by that I mean I am kidding... I definitely know people have either seen or heard of these shows and games.

I grew up on Gargoyles, Pokemon, Digimon, Cow and Chicken, CatDog, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Power Rangers, Spongebob Squarepants, Harry Potter, the Alien and Predator franchises, Freakazoid, W.I.T.C.H., Sailor Moon, Starcraft, Diablo, Halo, Metroid, and many more shows and games that is simply too large to list right now off the top of my head. It's safe to say I had a rather wide branch of diversity when it came to movies, shows, and games.
