Never played either of these games before but I started out on ICO just now and I see where all of the hype is coming from. It's an excellent puzzle adventure game. Anyone else get the HD collection or at least play the originals on PS2?

I remember renting a game simply called ICO back when I was 12.
I think the game had just came out and I remember because Blockbuster had these giant posters for the game and took them down about three days later.
I guess it wasn't that good.

Not really remembering where a puzzle was in but I haven't thought about the game for over 10 years now.

I always wanted to play Shadow of the Colossus, but for some odd reason I never got around to it. Now I have another opportunity, and I wont pass it up again!

It was just not very popular at the time is all and that had nothing to do with how good it was. I always hear people praising Ico so I figured I'd give them a shot. So far it is a pretty good game! Can't wait to get farther into it. All the dialogue is in Japanese though with English subtitles.

Wait, the dialogue is Japanese? I always thought it was some in-game language.

Anyway, can't wait for these. Played them both, and both were amazing. I wonder how much additions it will have though, especially the latter game. I did hear about a buddy playing as Yorda for ICO after beating it once, so I'm curious what that will like.

Oh maybe it was all a made up language. I know there is a game language in it when the subtitles are not in English. I always thought the boy spoke in Japanese but maybe not.

Rejoice, for bad things are about to happen!
Shadow of the collossus was one of the reasons I wanted to get a PS3, for the backward compatibility. But then I got PS3 slim as a gift and is has no backward compatibility.... T_T

Sort of like Evolution and its sequel.

I might pick this HD version up soon.
It's funny because I do actually remember having a dream about this game like a year or two ago.

Aw man, these two are near the top of my list of older games I want to play. If only I had a PS3....

Huh? What's that post above me say?

I got to get my hands on this today. My friend Sean let me borrow his PS3, and... I'll be honest. I was a little disappointed because of the frame rate back then. I played Shadow of the Colossus again, and it was awesome that there was near no lag in it this time. |3

It's still awesome to return to this game and go through the epic battles with each boss. |D So glad I had an opportunity to pick it up once more.
If someone asks me if I'm enjoying life, unless it's something really unforgivable, I can't help but answer that I am. No matter how much despair there is, I'm satisfied with just living...Just being allowed to be here really is a wonderful thing.

I rented it today. Only had enough time to try one of them though, so I chose Shadow. Beat the first colossi and then called it quits. The graphics look pretty outstanding for being a (remastered) ps2 port. The controls were also solid and didn't give me any trouble.

I never played it on PS2 but I did hear it had some framerate issues. So far I've gotten pretty far on Ico. I just dabbled with Colossus so far but I will play it after I beat Ico. It's a really good game and refreshing to get away from the usual shooter/racing games that are all too dominate now days.
