And it got me to thinking that there are a lot of people on SB that like to talk about relationships, love, and all the other things that are a part of a relationship (Well not all the other things but that's cause that would just be inappropriate). So my question to you all is this: What do you look for in a significant other? You don't have to go into detail. Just give us a basic idea of what you look for. I personally have a very high interest in relationships (as you all should know by now) and I'm very relationship oriented. Not really going to go into detail just yet about myself. Mama Odie voice What you want and what you need ain't the same thing. I can understand that she wants someone with good looks, and I respect her preferences. She is who she is. But she said her criteria were things she needed her guy to have, so I was just expressing that I don't actually believe there's a single person out there who genuinely needs their loved one to be good looking. You can put a hideous mask on a handsome guy or the mask of Adonis on your usual Igor and they'll still be who they've always been. So I just don't believe it's an actual necessity, but merely a desire. Once again, though, to each their own.

I'm somewhat on Kitty's side though since I too am that way. I personally think there needs to be a mutual attraction to one another. But it's a part of who I am. I would rather date someone that is decent looking and who takes care of their body than date someone who just let's herself go and doesn't care what she looks like.

Sadly, I've been doomed in terms of love. I was duped so many years ago, and that scarred me so bad. I can't open up to the people I like, because I feel like I'll just be made a fool of again. I know few people are like that, but I just can't help but feel to scared to make a move. Damn, that was vague. I just needed to get that off my back, whether or not somebody could understand with a description like that. Anyhoo, KittyCakes, don't keep your BF too close; on a leash if ya know what I mean. I know quite a relationship or two with the GF not letting the BF go to work or other events for whatever reason. It'll end up hurting your BF, your relationship, and ultimately you. He just has to look like he takes care of himself. Im good at finding beauty in anyone, even people who are not traditionally beautiful. And trust me I know how you feel. I am told that I am cute and handsome and all kinds of things but I personally do not think I am that good looking. But from what people tell me that is just modesty. And being modest is a good thing from what I can tell. @Kitty: The only thing I really don't fit into in your list is the anime part although I'm not overly into it like some people.
