Warning! I'd best make a warning here. As this Fan-fiction will involve blood/gore, violence and even romance. So it ain't meant for the youngest as to say. Introduction. First thing first. This is both RP and Fan-fiction styled story, because I'm no expert see. At least my vocabulary often comes short when it requires detail. Second... There ain't any. Main Character Cast Valiant Elderhorn IV (Father and King) Adrian "Valiant" Elderhorn (Son and Prince) Lizrik Whitefang "Dragon" Feona Silvertail, (no Sonic related, that's Fiona.) Arez the Weredemon Liam "Gothry" Pallentower (Godfather and Outlaw) Secondary Cast Maximus Agrentis (Captain of the Guard) Ramon Denith (Blacksmith) Jessica Elderhorn (Mother) Richard Dunnan (Follower to Liam) Tehrin Falco (Second in Command) Aron Redwater (Follower to Liam) Gino Silvertail (Father to Feona) Maria Silvertail (Mother to Feona) More will be revealed as this story unfolds. ------------ Prologue There's a river that stretches across the land of Galvahal, often as blue like the crimson sky. Yet that's about to change. With a terrifying monster ravaging from countryside to another, feeding on those who are weak, and vulnerable. It wasn't for the taste of meat, but the share glory of smiting mankind a heavy blow, that'd be stained n everyone's memory. Pitchforks is all what these men uses too defend them self, protecting their loved ones from those terrifying clutches. It turned out in a massacre as the airborne demon shred em in half, ate their young one's and tossed their loved ones towards the river. Not even the houses were allowed to stand, unleashing it's fiery inferno leaving nothing behind in it's wake. The first relevance were the smoke, then the bodies or what still remained of them, running along the river and finally revealing the terror it self, abandoning the scenery. Dragons! From this day forth the king swore that all of them were to be killed, no matter their nature. Hunted until there was no one left known alive. In the end, what had his majesty gained from his own butchery. Nothing! The real threat was still out there. And he sworn from this day forth, that all airborne draconian's was to be chased all around the world under the king's orders. Had they deserved this, because of one insanity? At least that's what Valiant believed at such a young stage in his regime. Our story begins fifteen years later, but that is yet to be revealed. End Prologue Short I know. But I wanted to let the folks know I'm back working on something new. Unfortunate I can't make no promises when the first real update will be made. But stay tuned, I'll do my best to update this. Let's start shall we. The Chapters are combined in several parts, so expect long chapters. Please give a comment, while I'll do some careful editing this weekend, meaning there may be some wrongly spelled words, and use of grammar, but I'm trying the best I can. Right! Enjoy! ------------ Chapter 1 A child Is Born; Part 1 The Castle; with it's main hall, whereas the floor above are for certain invited visitors, as well with the king's own private chamber. It's lucrative garden with it's numerous flowers and decorations as well with a few fountains on both sides, whereas the backyard include the servant quarters. Captain of the guard, Sir. Pallentower has been sent on a rather urgent task. A short salute toward his men, before entering, finding his friend/majesty in utter distress, unable to be seated. As both men fixes their eyes upon each other, the realisation appeared before him. "Is it?" "Yes my majesty." With no hesitation, he demands to be taken there. A short road due south from the castle, is the medical house of Galvahal. Making their way through it's personal, before stepping inside, finding his wife with a small baby-wolf wrapped in her arms. A gracious smile reflected upon them, whereas he lifts the boy in his care, looking into the pup's eyes. "Look at him. He's my son alright." It ain't often the king shows any kind of emotions, whether he's sad or joyed, however at such an occasion, none shall take his smile from him, as off today. One moment alone, Valiant, his wife, (Jessica) and his newborn son, before he would bring out his child, announcing toward it's people about the wonderful news. Giving him a name at the center of attention. And after careful decision he vouched out the prince's name. "Adrian Elderhorn", after his own great great grandfather Elderhorn the 1st. News was spreading like wildfire among the inhabitants, and it wasn't long before a feast was made for the whole town. Free food, drinks for everyone along with some entertainment, to celebrate that a new prince and future king have been born. Later that same evening Jessica grows suddenly ill, and Valiant worryingly asks that Liam takes care of the boy for the moment. Taken to the medical house to retrieve treatment, only to find out she's out of reach. Everything crashes, with loss of words the king leaves. Completely ignoring Pallentower upon exiting, making way for the castle at once. He knew something was wrong. Deciding it's best not to provoke him at the time being. In fact, he orders his men not to allow anyone to disturb him no matter what until tomorrow. That's when another realisation becomes reality, as the young lad starts crying. "For the love of.." If there's one thing he lacks the experience off, it's child-caring. Taken methods in his own hands, he failed after another, until someone coincidently were passing by, mentioning that he's probably just want something to eat. "Eat...?" Looking down in his arms. "No teeth huh! or even if there are, meat ain't the solution. If it weren't for the nice female, insisting on giving him a hand, Pallentower would sure gone crazy without sufficient aid. "Thank you miss." Even if he's on duty, there's no way he could just abandon the king's son to some stranger, even after showing so much kindness. A bottle with milk and a comfy bed was all he ever needed. Sleeping soundly in the strange lady's arms. Pleased for what she's done to serve, he offered a small token of three gold pieces. Denying his gift, confirming she weren't doing it for the reward. Recoiling his offer, Liam founded him self comfortable seated, looking at the motherly-model with an invisible smile, knowing that feelings was strictly forbidden while and off duty, as love would break their concentration, as they say. Not sure what there was to admire, as the house was rather small, with barely enough room for all of her furnitures. A picture upon her small bookcase, looking like the father, or husband. Inquired to ask, "Is it your...?" He never managed to finish his sentence before she continued. "It's my brother, he's..." And while she were at it, she remembered if telling about their background, could jeopardise this whole situation. A moment later, she tried to lie out from her own ensnarement. "He's" repeating her self, almost nervous, "dead. Was killed a few months back," and in an countless effort she tried to force out some tears, knowing that her brother was safe and sound, living in the enemies territory. Indeed he took a turn around, looking more suspicious, but realised it must've been hard loosing of the same blood. It's like loosing one of his own men, their like his only recognisable family, except Valiant. However he cares little for their relation, more-so on the strength and tactician that's behind his every move out there, serving the king. Protect and serve it's what we do. "I'm sorry about your loss, miss." Making his condolences, whether they'd be of any worth." "Thank you." Consistently bringing her self into the victim. Surprisingly the cub was still sound asleep with all of the noise around him. Knowing that he may regret ever relying on her, raising up from his chair, looking down into her watery eyes. "I don't suppose I can leave him here till the next morning, with my patrol-watch not being taken care of while I'm doodling back here maim." Concentrating as she returned an eye for an eye. "I'll take good care of him, I'll promise." Her words rather shaky, but that's probably because of the foul reminder. Approving of the helpful madam, the grey wolf exited, that would later during the evening, feeling load of bad concious, knowing that he'd may have done a mistake. The very next morning, Liam returned back to the same house to collect Adrian only to find the house being empty. At first he checked around, in case she were at the bathroom, but with no trace, he cursed before sending the nearby vase toward the ground by force, crashing loudly on impact. Rushing outside, he couldn't believe how anyone would've passed the gates with a child without getting noticed. With the town sprouting with renewed life as every citizen had begun their normal duties, however there was no sign of the lying bitch. Furious, but also worried what Valiant would do if he's even as much find out about his missing son has been kidnapped. With no consideration on telling it's majesty, he carried off directly toward the town gate. At the arrival he encounters the two men asleep. "What is this." Angrily shaking one of them awake, with his hands tied around the man's shoulders. "Uh! What happ...." "You tell me. What the hell are you sleeping on duty?" Nether one seemed able to answer, looking rather misplaced, as if they hadn't gone to sleep at their own free will. In fact there's something else at work here. "Damn!" Slandering about in mid-air with his fists, before taking a handful with gravel, throwing it randomly against the wall. Never had he failed his duties, but if anyone would be to happen Adrian, he... he could've probably never been able to live with that, also there's no way he would've been forgiven. "What is it?" One of the men dared to ask their captain, only to receive a frustrated stare in return. Instead of answering his men, he quite determinedly knew that there's but one thing to do. Tell the truth! At the castle he's quite surprised that Maximus have already informed about the prince's missing. How? He didn't even have a chance to explain him self, with the king ordering Liam too be stripped from his authorities as captain, and putting Sir. Maximus as the new leader. "Please, I never..." As he tried to communicate with the already two leaving on a search party, without the now broken wolf, standing there with so much regret. Even if it had cost his work, he would voluntarily ride with them on finding the king's son. But denied, in fact the situation ended in a rather ill-displaced fashion, as he requested him to be taken in custody, further revealing what happens next when they return, successful or not. "No... No! You can't, I must have a chance to redeem my wrongdoing." The wolf tried to wiggle out from the men's sturdy grip, as he watched the king along with a few of his men leaving town. He continued to struggle and with one faulty mistake, the wolf managed to escape from their binding clutches with an effort trying to tie a rope around his paws. "Hold it there." One of them shouted after being pushed aside, and the nimble movement, avoiding both hands from the other. This would surely put him on a wanted list, but he must find out whether the little baby wolf was indeed safe. Knowing the town in and out after being guard for seven years already, he knew witch path to choose, climbing across that one weak wall section. Before all the way to safety, an arrow impaled him from behind, leading to a rather drastic fall into a heap of bushes just outside town. Tumbling him self forward, resilient as a raging bull, he made sure to continue on foot into the forest. (The arrow still stitched to his back.) With enough time, he could suffer from considerable blood loss, but that's the payment he'll have to take, for in his mind, there's but one thing that stands more important then his own. End Part 1 |

I read through the prologue, and the first part of chapter 1. I thought they were good for starting the story. I will continue reading through the later parts, seeing what happens to Liam. And wondering what happened with the woman taking care of Adrian. |

Thanks for the comment guys. This may turn out a bit shorter then the first part. But alas, I want to save the final conclusion to Part 3. Enjoy and beware there's still some violence in this one. A Child Is Born; Part 2 "We'll find him, your highness." Sir.Maximus confidently reassured Valiant they will find his son, safe and sound before sunset. Of course he knew where too. As it had been all a set-up. The woman had been offered a salary and safe exit from town, an offer she simply couldn't resist. And then there was the hideout in the middle of forest, far south-east from town. The land stretched far and wide, with tall mountains covering most of the southern border, home of the now extinct dragons. At least their beliefs was sufficient enough after finding no trace of life after the previous excavation last month. Of course the hard fact that no one knows for sure. Just outside from the city-walls, the river streams north toward the enormous sea far to the north from Galvahal's borders. Accessible bridge allowing for a safe exit, encountering a waste forest on both sides of the road. Animal life has been scarce with all the hunting, but there are certain areas fit for a master marksman. She arrived at the scene. What looked like an old witch hut, best bait there is to turn all doubts that she's a total lunatic. Asked to leave the child in the available basket near the stove. The doubt blossomed like a flower, with the baby-wolf looking at her with it's innocent blue eyes. Unable to look straight, she turned aside, placing the boy carefully down. Time was short, she knew they'll outrun her on horseback and if she hadn't fulfilled her tasks, Maximus couldn't assure about her safety, as no doubt, Valiant will have her slain. Everything had been taken care of beforehand, all she needed to do, was to prepare a stove with hot water. The evidence would be clear, she's out to eat feast on the child. That's it. She could now leave, knowing the reward have been hidden inside one of the tree-trunks, behind the cabin. She could hear him, while she exited, crying like the little child he was. There it was. A sack of pure gold, all hers. Now she must leave, and never turn back to Galvahal. Hearing the galloping horses, she was just out in time before the king and captain arriving at the scene. "You sure this is it?" "I'm sure, my majesty." Both men hurried off toward the house, Maximus knocked the door down, upon entering, hearing the little infant crying for it's mother. "Adrian." Valiant approached the basket with his son all safe and secure. "Maximus, make sure to find this witch, as I want her head." "As you wish, your highness." Maximus made a short bow, before he took his leave. "Your coming with me Adrian." After one night in mortal grief, he could finally reason with him self, caring for his own and most of all, protecting him from anyone who think they could steal his very own son away. The journey back home would be safe, accompanied by three soldiers who had been quickly ordered to accompany them right before the search party engaged, as surely he wouldn't be allowed to travel on his own. Some folks should never be trusted. Remember that! Safe and sound or so she believed. The worryingly sound creeping from behind, with bushes rustling about and the tree's seemingly sway more violent then before. Unable to turn an eye from her riches, she felt an awkward moment of stress creeping up her legs. Lightly jogging forward, almost feeling that presence of being stalked. One sudden flash of movement after another, it turned her face, pale as a white sheet. Her feet was now running fast as she could, escaping the treacherous forest only to have her face smothered onto a tree, catching her by surprise. Maximus stood before her with the sword in his hand, about to end her misery and retrieve what intentionally was his in the first place. Like no way he would pay petty locals for their services. No matter if it's worth the position, being the second in command after the royal insignia. Whimpering before him, she could barely start screaming before her head was chopped off, like the king had requested. With that settled, coin-purse rightfully in his hand, the captain gets back on his horse and rides off toward the city. As for his unawareness, around Liam's escape was still unknown. Adrian, the future prince was safely back home with his father. News about the ex-captain's escape was horrendous however. Of course it was as he had foreseen. First the disastrous idea of allowing a complete stranger taking care of the new heir, now this. He didn't want to believe his best soldier had done such a terrible mistake. As now his story would've become even more of a big lie, in fact he even pointed him out as a dangerous outlaw, and if anyone would see him in town, they will do whatever it takes to arrest him, and from there, punish him with death by hanging him in front of Galvahal's people. A small token of appreciation with the woman's head brought back, only to have it burnt, letting them know what happens with examples, attempting to obsolete the royal family. |

Sandopolis Act 2
|
So the woman was a witch. Well is sounds that way, since she was going to eat Adrian. At least in the end, the wolf was okay and Valiant managed to find his son. All around a good follow up to the first part. I will continue to read more. |
