I still can't use this.

 Several sects of the fanbase have set to taking apart them demo and have basically revealed the entire game. Look at your own risk, use spoiler tags appropriately, and celebrate and rage. I'm certainly doing that right now. I didn't get the level I wanted, but my ol' boy is apparently back, so hells yeah!

 I like how in the second to last cutscene young Tails says, "It's Dr. Robotnik" and he says, "nobody ever calls me that anymore". ROFL! I still prefer Dr. Robotnik though, it sounds more menacing and Eggman just sounds like a joke of a character.

 Y'know... I think they should've used Tails's english VA from the old OVA to play Young Tails. That could've produced some brilliant dialogue towards the end...

 Y'know, Generations could've been a good way to reference the old Sonic Bible. I don't think a single game has ever mentioned Eggman/Robotnik ever being called Kintorbor...

I like the old American name for him better and even if it was always Eggman in America I'd prefer him to be called Dr. Robotnik. I liked him in Sonic 06 best of the new games because he didn't act like a fool and he was actually menacing, cunning, and acted more like a scientific genius. I prefer that persona to him rather than a babbling fat clown. Someone who can actually seem like a real threat to Sonic rather than a loser that is destined to fail.

It was good fanservice though. The one thing that kinda bothered me about the game(aside from some side character annoying commentary*cough*charmy*cough*) was how classic Sonic was mute. Classic Tails could talk so why not Sonic?

SEGA must follow the idea that the classic fans would only appreciate Classic Sonic if he was exactly as he was back in the old days. Since he didn't have a voice back then, he wasn't allowed to have one here. Else it'd open the floodgates for more complaints. Tails has a little more leeway since he isn't the lead...

I know some classic fans that thought it was ridiculous too. I can see where that's coming from though, I just don't like it especially since classic Tails can talk but I'm sure someone somewhere out there probably complained about classic Tails talking.... -_-
I guess it's just a case of balancing out what Classic Fans wanted, what the game needs and what the Modern Fans wanted too. They needed at least one Classic character to talk so the story would at least work and it wouldn't be Modern Sonic and Tails just trying to interpret what the classics are gesturing...

 I must say, what do people think will come of the ending of Generations? Since both of the Robotniks seem to understand they'll lose to Sonic all the time, does this mean Robotnik'll actually be... giving up now?

 God I hope so. Or he'll actually win. I can see a short series (like three games) being made where Eggman actually freaking wins. That would be such a nice change of pace.

Either that or bring back someone (*cough*Mephiles/Iblis/Solaris) or make up a new main villain.

 Used the passcodes to get the statues. I honestly feel like the game needed more of an ''History'' section that explains the levels and characters' origin and else. They show the original levels a bit in the credit and there's a bio section for the in-game characters, but the statues would need info too. After all, while most of them are in-game characters, objects and enemies, there is a statue of the following characters:

Chao
Omochao
Hero Chao
Dark Chao
Big the Cat
E-123 Omega
Jet the Hawk
Chip

I really think Generations needs a section talking about each game, because not everyone knows them.

 And the recurring characters that aren't in the game (i.e. Babylon Rogues). It definitely needs some more general info in it for those that aren't avid Sonic fans and so forth.
