It's about time Tails fought beside Sonic, like the good ol' days. Thumbs up for the Unbreakable Bond.

So according to the facebook fanpage, Casino night will only be available if you preorder from Gamestop :/
Utter BS.

Several sects of the fanbase have set to taking apart them demo and have basically revealed the entire game. Look at your own risk, use spoiler tags appropriately, and celebrate and rage. I'm certainly doing that right now. I didn't get the level I wanted, but my ol' boy is apparently back, so hells yeah!
Spoiler: click to toggle The game has been in development since just after Sonic 2006... and there's only 9-10 levels. What the hell. I don't care if there's two playable characters and multiple missions, it's STILL only 9 levels!
The missions better not be crappy like they were in Colors. 1-2 large stages/missions and a bunch of little ones. UGH!

And Colors missions aren't really any different from the Adventures, or maybe even the classic games if you think about it so I'm not sure what else can satisfy you.
ANYWAY, I find all these information great. Looking forward to it. I welcome these levels and all these missions. <3
Spoiler: click to toggle Especially all the cameo characters. <3

So, we've got a stage and boss list, eh? It's looking... alright. I'll give thoughts and stuff in the following spolier tag.
You know the drill, SPOILERS. So only about 9 stages, huh? I was kinda hoping for a few more (like say, Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles each getting their own stage) but I'll otherwise live. Thoughts on the line-up in three, two, one... Green Hill Zone - We all knew this was coming, so nothing further to say about this. Chemical Plant Zone - With Casino Night being on the 3DS (or at least I thought it was, seeing it as DLC here confuses me), Chemcial Plant and Metropolis were my next two choices. That or Mystic Cave. Over all, I'm happy with this choice. Sky Sanctuary Zone - Admittedly this stage had not come into consideration at all on my list (originally Hydrocity for S3 and Mushroom Hill/Flying Battery/Lava Reef for S&K) but now that I see it there, I'm actually really happy with it. Sky Sanctuary should be amazing in HD. I can only imagine what the Modern stage is going to be like. :0 Speed Highway - Meh. I vaugely remember this stage, but don't really hold it in any fond regard. Windy Valley or Sky Deck would have been prefered. That said, I don't remember much of Sonic Adventure. ^^; City Escape - That's pretty awesome, but I know I've said this before. Seaside Hill - Probably would have prefered Egg Fleet or Bullet Station, but I can live with this. Better than Grand Metropolis at least. Crisis City - It was this or Kingdom Valley for me. Looking foward to seeing what they do with it. :3 Rooftop Run - Saw this one coming. Should be pretty sweet, it was probably my favourite stage in Unleashed. Planet Wisp - To be honest I wasn't really expecting a Colours stage so soon after it was released, but I guess all the HD folks missed it. Still, Planet Wisp is a wonderful stage, so good choice. Casino Night Zone - *hums the tune to Casino Night Zone and snaps his fingers* It also took me a while to figure out that the lightning, bubble and fire icons were refering to the three shields from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I was hoping they would be making a return, so I'm glad to see them there. ^^ It does look like the Bosses aren't really connected to the areas the come from though, so that does cast a little doubt on whether Launch Base will be in the 3DS version for me. :/
All in all, I'm fairly happy with the list. And with DLC that always means there's a chance of a few left out stages making it in later. Should be great. Now I'm just wondering what the 3DS line-up is looking like. :0
Also, I've been listening to the Green Hill music nearly all day. Really fond of the Modern redition of it now, although the invincibilty jingle sounds a little odd. Or at least to me. The Menu music sounds sweet though. Oh, and the Title Screen too. I can see that becoming my ringtone. |P
The one thing I don't recognise is the 1-Up jingle. Is that something new for Generations or is there some game's jingle I just can't remember? xD

Spoiler: click to toggle To be honest, that's really what I'm worried about, having nothing but one stage then crappy sub-missions. I hated the little mission/pretend hub bullshit in Colours. I'd prefer levels that flowed into each other, like in Unleashed, sort of.

It's simply get to the goal ring/machine whatever just like the other games. I'm just starting to get curious. I enjoyed Colors(Best Sonic since the Adventures in my opinion). It has flaws, but the missions were something that never really bothered me.

The missions better not be crappy like they were in Colors. 1-2 large stages/missions and a bunch of little ones. UGH!
Spoiler: click to toggle Because in development doesn't necessarily mean it's being coded. In-development could refer to pre-production or simply a green light, which is the very most this game could have progressed five years ago, what with them still working on the actual engine that powers the game... and Unleashed... and Black Knight... and the Winter Olympics games... and Colors....
And then, you're not even taking into account the size of the levels and the amount of actual content this game is giving. I mean, seriously, when was the last time we had 19 CGI scenes? Not only is the timeline you're suggesting is nigh-on impossible, but you're sounding a bit ungrateful for the number of levels we are getting. Generations is already looking to be much bigger than Unleashed in terms of raw content being developed. =|
And Vlad, the reason we're using spoiler tags, Vlad, is because this information is leaked. People who don't want to be spoiled but nonetheless want to still keep up with the game should be respected.

Spoiler: click to toggle Unleashed had a hub/mission feature as well, which I consider much worse than Colors - God knows how absolutely annoying it was to get into Shamar's stages in the 360 version. Seriously, I can't count the number of times I overshot the lightspeed dash and ended up plummenting back to the ground.
tldr: Unleashed's levels didn't really flow into each other either. In fact, the only game(s) in the series I can think of that truely does that is Sonic 3 and Knuckles. (look at the cutscenes of that game. Notice how they practically lead you to the next stage at times?

I'mma give my thoughts on the level list as well now since it's not like 4am and I'm easily annoyed.
Spoiler: click to toggle Green Hill Zone - We all expected this, though I would have preferred to see Emerald Hill as well. Just seems prettier.
Chemical Plant Zone - This always has come across to me as a "meh" level. I'm sure it could end up being awesome though.
Sky Sanctuary Zone - This had better be amazing and make me go "ohshitohshitohshitohshit" while I'm playing as Modern Sonic. Happy about this; I replayed it a small while ago and was thinking about how cool it'd be in HD. But come on, no Flying Battery or Lava Reef? D<
Speed Highway - All I remember from this was interesting music and "CONTROLS. Y U SUCK SO MACH!?" So this level really could have been replaced by a different one.
City Escape - so far it's looking great, so alright. Would have preferred an ARK level, but it's city Escape, I guess it's to be expected.
Seaside Hill - This was the least memorable level in Heroes for me. Then again, I played Heroes a few months ago and couldn't get past one level because I was so annoyed, so meh.
Crisis City - This was on my high list. Very happy about this, but I think it would have been nice to also see Kingdom Valley (particularly that Mach Stage part!).
Rooftop Run - Another forgetable level, but hopefully they'll fix the music. The drums in it made it horrible to listen to for me. e_e
Planet Wisp - ... lolwut. Colors JUST came out and everyone and their mother has a Wii. Who the heck thought this would be a good idea instead of using an older level?
Casino Night Zone - Think I'm okay with this, but there's been so many casino levels...
I also played the demo last night.
Spoiler: click to toggle What the FOX TROT is up with those physics?! I DIED in Green Hill-- IN GREEN HILL. Sonic's jump felt weird and unnatural; he actually stays at the highest part of his jump for a moment before falling, which feels weird and reminds me of Colors. He keeps on walking/jogging/running in the direction he's heading before stopping or turning around, which is what killed me or sent me flying into an enemy, and there seems to be a general lack of responsiveness from him. Because of this, I had trouble just jumping on enemies. :/
I wasn't too impressed... love the music, the graphics look amazing (I can notice some jagged edges on some things though), and I still think the game could be great, but I wasn't impressed with this demo at all. However, I'm pretty certain that they released it so soon and limitedly like they did to get fan feedback, so hopefully they'll fix it up. I'm not expecting Classic physics, but I'd like to not die some more from being unable to control. :/

Spoiler: click to toggle I HATE Colors, and didn't like the levels it had to offer for the most part; the design seemed to suck badly and they just didn't feel Sonic-y.
I also really dislike SA1. Probably even hate it; it was just so off the map in many ways. SA2 was okay, but I could live without it. To some degree I like it, but the controls mess me up or don't do what I want so often it's like "eff it, I'm playing Lair instead".
I'm not sure what you mean about the Classics though. I mainly play S3&K out of those and haven't sat down and seriously played S1, S2, or SCD in years.
Am glad about the cameo characters as well (particularly the boss fights), but I'm tired of playing as only Sonic. ;~;

Spoiler: click to toggle Remember SU when we were told there were some levels that would take 10 minutes normally to complete? Those were night levels, so I was crushed at that. Seeing that this is also a Sonic game, I don't expect the levels to be big. Sonic has just never really had large levels (except ShTH).
19 CGI cut scenes... hmm... Sonic 2006 maybe? Also, who's to say those will be full cut scenes or just 10-30 second intro things? I love CGI cut scenes, but I EXPECT just short ones.
What timeline? o.O

Well, might as well give my thoughts on the confirmed levels;
Spoiler: click to toggle Green Hill Zone: I had no doubt in my mind that this level would make the cut, for reasons that should be obvious. Chemical Plant Zone: Just the Sonic 2 stage I was hoping for. This makes me very happy indeed. Sky Sanctuary Zone: No Hydrocity? What? D: This stage wasn't even that memorable to me. I'd rather have Carnival Night Zone to be honest. Speed Highway: Was gunning for Lost World, but this was one of my favorite stages in SA1, so I'm good. City Escape: You want to know something? I was secretly hoping for Radical Highway, but since it was one of Shadow's stages and not Sonic's, I wasn't too hopeful. But I really don't have much of a problem with this stage and am liking what I'm seeing. Seaside Hill: I'd rather have Hang Castle, but meh, this stage was decent. Crisis City: Never played 06. 'Nuff said. Rooftop Run: As much as I love Spagonia, I'd REALLY like to see Adabat. Love, love, love Adabat. (It better be included in the DLC, along with Hydrocity sometime in the future) Planet Wisp: Okay, Planet Wisp was quite awesome, I admit, but Sweet Mountain was the best level in Sonic history. (again, I say it better be on the DLC)
So, while it's not what I was hoping for, so far I'm pleased.

I'm kind of disappointed that 20 years of Sonic is going to be celebrated with only 9 stages. I'm sure they could have included more than one stage from each game, or at least stages from lesser known titles.

Spoiler: click to toggle Besides, I can't remember where I heard it, or even if it's offical, but apparantly each level will have two acts per Sonic.
That would be... 36 total acts.
(I've also heard something about five acts per level. THAT...yyyyeah, don't really believe that.)
