Quest of the Warrior: Scarlet Kingdom; Well let's just see how this goes...

 Okay so this is how this role playing game will go. It's some typical rules, no god modding, killing other people's player without their permission, fair play etc. Here's the story:

Ages ago, there was once a great land known as the Scarlet Kingdom This Empire was happy, and the world was good. They had a fair king who ruled the lands with trust and kindness. The people of the Scarlet Empire were glad for their good king and lived happy and free for the most part. However a terrible tragedy befell the emperor. It was on the longest day of the year, the summer festival was the biggest event of the year.

"Lord Scarlet!" A knight entered the emperor's throne room, sweat on his face. His armor was blood red as was customary for Scarlet Knights, but singed and splattered with real blood. He was missing his right arm and the stump poured out quickly.

"Sir Alister!" The king stepped forward, his red and gold robes flowing behind him. He caught Alister as he fell and tried to stop the bleeding. Alister panted heavily in pain as he stared his king in the face.

"M-My Lord.." Alister began, coughing up his blood and spluttering it onto King Scarlet's face. "War is upon us... Your Majesty.. The Grave Keeper has betrayed us.." Alister faded from consciousness. King Scarlet stood and shed his large robes.

"Servant!" He called for one of his servants to come to him. A short brown haired man named Zachary entered the room, standing attentively and ready to follow his King's commands. "Bring me my sword and armor." He spoke confidently. He would have to enter the battle if it was against the Grave Keeper. There was no other way.

Six months into the war, a huge battle broke out over Skyward Ridge. The Scarlet Kingdom's armies had held the ridge for two months; soldiers on both sides fighting for days at a time. Eight months into the war, the Grave Keeper himself showed up, striking fear into the hearts of Scarlet Soldiers. The Grave Keeper's appearance drew King Scarlet and what seemed like it would be the end of the war began to surface...

The king stepped out onto the battlefield; a charred wasteland from the constant fire and death had been caused just east of the ridge where most of the fighting was going on. He had come alone. Blood coloured the leftover grass red. His silver armor shone in the red sun. Death was in the air, King Scarlet could smell it. He sighed as he saw the dead and distorted faces of his people. It had been a painful eight months for his people but hopefully it would soon be over. Today was the day that King Scarlet was to come face to face with the Grave Keeper.

King Scarlet heard a screech and turned his gaze to the other side of the battlefield. The Grave Keeper approached, leaping off of the creature he had been riding. He wore black armor mostly, pointed with spikes. His helmet was skull shaped, his visor was up but his eyes could not be seen. He wielded a large scythe with a shovel on the other end of it. Darkness seemed to emanate from him causing the King's blood to turn ice cold.

"Ahhh Scarlet." The Grave Keeper laughed, his voice was deep and echoed. "I knew if I showed up at this ridge you would come. Now we can end this war." He swung his scythe in a circle. The King drew his own sword, a broadsword with a scarlet coloured hilt. The blade had been crafted by the Gods according to legend. Scarlet had discovered it upon his coming of age journey.

"It ends here Grave Keeper!" Scarlet gripped his sword tightly. The blade glowed with dark red energy. The Grave Keeper laughed loudly, his voice shook the ground beneath the King. The Grave Keeper swirled his scythe powerfully and dashed toward King Scarlet.

Scarlet reacted quickly, bring his blade up to match the scythe swing. The two weapons clashed and sparks flew. The Grave Keeper swung his shovel next quickly. Luckily Scarlet managed to dash to the right and dodge the swing quickly. Still moving, Scarlet changed direction drastically. He bashed the hilt of his sword into the Grave Keeper's gut. He bent over in pain leaving him open.

"This is the end Keeper!" He swung his blade directly, colliding with the Grave Keeper's armor and sending him flying. The armor busted open and the Grave Keeper landed in a heap on the ground. Scarlet stood over him, staring at the terrible being in front of him. His flesh was disfigured and looked burnt. The Keeper looked up at Scarlet.

"FOOL!" Scarlet suddenly felt himself begin to be pulled apart. He screamed in pain and suddenly felt nothing as he was divided and put into four separate boxes. The keys appeared before him and he stood. Unfortunately, the king had not known about the weapon the Grave Keeper had acquired. He held the tool in his hand, it looked like an ordinary stick to most people. To him however, it was a rod with a skull on the end. The skull had eyes that lit up green. The King had lost, soon the war would be over.

With the King dead, troop morale for the soldiers of the Scarlet Kingdom fell drastically and soon the battle for Skyward Ridge was lost. This chained the reaction of the Grave Keeper's armies winning their battles. Soon the Scarlet Kingdom was conquered. The Grave Keeper mostly effected the main province of Scarlet, leaving the various villagers to be left alone in their villages. However they paid unbelievably high taxes and could not keep food for themselves. Soon no one had the money or food to live efficiently.

For seven hundred years the Grave Keeper had been ruling the kingdom of Scarlet, and the people were exhausted. A prophecy arose that a band of heroes would rise up and save the kingdom from the evil tyrant.

Soooo yeah long post right! Okay so I just need you guys to post your characters, first. The first three people will be starting in the same party as myself. I figure you should start somewhat small depending on how far into the story we are. For example since we are just starting, the first couple characters should be relatively low in power so far. Makes sense right? xD I hope...

Name: Jesse Scarlet
Age: 18
Species: Human
Occupation: Farmer
Appearance: Jesse is an average heighted man with brown hair down to his ears. He's caucasian and is wearing a Scarlet Tunic. His boots are brown and he wore a belt with various farming tools on it. He wore brown gloves as well. His eyes are grey and deep looking.
Weapon Type Preference: Longsword
Abilities: Undiscovered...
Allignment: Scarlet Empire

So that's pretty basic. Feel free to add more information to your character if you like. Backstory is always welcome, but remember they have to fit this RP specifically. Most preferably people will create new characters, or wipe old characters clean at least just for the sake of this RP. I'll add more characters as I go.

Now last but not least, the objective. You are on a journey to save Scarlet or to fight against the people who are trying to save it. In another post, I will describe the layout of Scarlet Kingdom, or what it is currently named which is the Grave Keeper's Empire. Just how we are to save the Kingdom will be revealed through story events, but for the most part anyone starting fresh will start in the only town that remained the property of the Scarlet Kingdom, which has become Scarlet City. It is a large, fantasy like city. Various technology has surfaced in this world and can easily be integrated in the fantasy elements. The Kingdom of Scarlet

The Grave Keeper's Empire:

Grave Keeper's Dark Fortress:
The Grave Keeper's Dark Fortress is where the Grave Keeper himself resides. It is at the northernmost point of the Empire. The fortress was constructed shortly after the war and has stood as a reminder for the once peaceful Kingdom that the Grave Keeper rules supreme.

Frozen Point:
A large snow covered mountain East of the Grave Keeper's fortress. It is mostly uninhabited and thus has been left untouched by the Grave Keeper's taint. Large Yetis and Snow Monsters are the native species to the mountain. Any other species living on the mountain are unknown. It is said that a great secret is hidden on the peak.

Green Village:
A small village just south of the Grave Keeper's fortress. The people who live there are under massive oppression and the land around the village does not grow or prosper. The peasants there are poor. It has few residents as anyone with half a mind fled when the war was lost.

Skyward Ridge:
A large ridge that outlines the North-Western boundary of the Grave Keeper's Empire. It points skyward and was once connected to a floating island by a large bridge. The climax of the war happened here and many secrets have been left around. Native species are various, but mostly large birds and four legged mammals.

Skyward Bridge:
A massive bridge connecting a floating island to Skyward Ridge. It is broken currently but may be restored if the proper actions were to be set into motion...

Scarlet Castle Ruins (On the Floating Island):
The ruins of the once beautiful Scarlet Castle. After the war the Grave Keeper destroyed the castle and broke the bridge that connected it to the kingdom. Legend has it that King Scarlet's sword is sealed away beneath the ruins.

Skyward Ridge War Memorial:
A war memorial put up by those faithful to the Scarlet Kingdom. It is located on top of the battle field where King Scarlet had been defeated by the Grave Keeper. It has since been vandalized, suffered many damages and left alone. However rumor has it that the Rouge Rebels had set up their base underneath the memorial.

Skull Lake:
A large lake filled with demon spawn of sorts. It was once known as Scarlet Lake but has been tainted by the run off through Black River which comes from Black Peak. In the center of the lake is an island shaped like a skull. It sits south of Green Village at the center of the Grave Keeper's Empire.

Magic Works Inc.:
A huge city owned by the Magic Works company. It is located in the South-Western most point of the empire. It is controlled by The Grave Keeper and contains all of the most advanced Magical Tech in the kingdom. It is the source of all magical tech and governed by Magic Work's president. A large percent of the population of the Scarlet Kingdom ended up here after the war.

Spell-caster's Woods:
Enchanted woods where a lot of the magical materials for the Magic Works company are located. It is directly east of Magic Works Inc. and directly west of Tower Town. Many magical creatures live in this forest and a legendary blacksmith.

Tower Town:
A town located close to Black River. A large tower is the defining feature of this town. It is under control of the Grave Keeper, although the citizens are unhappy and resist control. There is a strong resistance base hidden somewhere in this town.

Black River:
A long river that comes down from Black Peak. It splits off east into Scarlet City or North-West into skull lake. It has a ferry allowing people to cross from one side to the other for a hefty fee. The river is full of taint from Black Peak where the Grave Keeper once resided before the war.

Scarlet City:
A large city still controlled by the Scarlet Kingdom. It is located in the south-eastern most point of the empire. The current leader is under a lot of stress to keep the city under control however and finally after four hundred years the threat of being conquered seemed imminent. A large farmland sits around the city which is surrounded by walls. The population that remained loyal to Scarlet mostly moved to this city. It is considered the safest place in the whole empire.

Scarlet Forest:
A forest north of Scarlet City. A great spirit lives in the forest that will one day bestow upon a band of heroes the ability to save the kingdom and bring peace back to the lands. It covers a large portion of the eastern boarder. It is full of various wildlife and creatures.

So those are the locations. Most of us will start in Scarlet City for now. After the main plot has left Scarlet City, a character newly introduced may start in any location they please, although within reason of the character's alignment and abilities.

Name: Brendan Grey
Age: 19
Species: Human
Occupation: Merchant
Appearance: Dark-colored skin, black hair with a few blonde streaks, stands at a decent height, and has yellowish green eyes. He wears a scarlet tunic in honor of the fallen king along with a crimson robe, black boots and black gloves. Inside his robe lie several pockets in which he keeps all sort of provisions.
Weapon Type Preference: Spatha
Abilities: Basic spell-casting such as;
*The power to levitate self and light (or relatively light) objects
*Energy projectiles (these aren't exactly weak, but they're nothing massive either)
Alignment: Scarlet Empire

- Blades Disk = Disks around his wrists and ankles can be used as projectiles with a boomerang effect, or simply sharp round blades. They also can detach and break off into several smaller parts.
Abilities:
- Kekkai: The art of casting spiritual barriers. However, he does his differently. He can't cast it directly, not from his own hand. He uses the disks that suspend them selves around his wrists and ankles to channel the energy it takes to properly cast a barrier. Its not fully master, so there is a limit to his use and frailness when forming one.

Just signing up with my character/s then, if I may use more then one?
Didn't say no such thing in the rules so. If not, just poke me and I'll remove the ones I'm just throwing in for the sake of fun.

Name. Adrian Elderhorn (Valiant, after his father.)
Age. 28
Gender. Male
Species. Wolf
Occupation. Passing through Green Village
Appearance.
As there isn't no specific clothes he'd rather use above anything else, there is but one I'll describe. The most common wearable outfit.
Short black trousers, white long sleeved shirt, with a charismatic sword bound through it's shield, (kingdom emblem.) Around his neck, he wears an amulet that's been carried through generation after another. Often found in one of his pockets. Apart from this, Adrian usually comes around shirtless, but his father have prohibited him from doing so around it's people.

Weapon Type Preferences.
- (Unknown name) Sword, will be revealed in RP later on, if there's a time for it.
Abilities will be revealed when I actually show up. Trust me, I've never made a God-moded character so, I hope it won't succeed your expectations of what's been allowed.

 ((ALRIGHT THREE PEOPLE WE CAN GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD! DF and Lilsonic, You're accepted.))

It was a warm day that morning as Jesse awoke in the bed. He looked out the window and saw that the sun had almost finished rising. Outside the roosters were crowing and the birds were chirping. It was morning and that meant it was time for him to get out of bed. He made his bed before going to the house shower. He washed quickly and returned to his room.

"Hmm..." Jesse pondered as he looked at his clothing. Mostly farmers clothing besides a scarlet coloured tunic. He figured he might as well dress nice that day as he was going into the city that day to sell his goods as well as buy supplies. The spring had come early that year and Jesse was behind on his chores. He dressed in his tunic and put his farmer's belt on before putting on his boots and gloves. The eighteen year old exited his room and went down the stairs. His family had left him the farm when he had turned sixteen and went to live in Magic Works Inc. as his father had acquired a job there.

"Morning." Jesse greeted the chickens, picking up their bag of feed and quickly feeding them. The chickens dashed around; clucking loudly and pecking at the ground. Jesse shook his head as he noticed one of his chickens running into a wall. "Stupid chickens.." Jesse muttered before moving on to feed the cow. Currently his cow was not producing milk which was causing him much grief.

"Moooo!" The cow let out a long low moo as she noticed Jesse come in. Eagerly she went to her food trough and waited. Jesse put the fodder into the tray and left without much thought. He was a little annoyed that his cow would stop producing milk right as the spring came around.

He smiled as clouds began to form over his farmland. It was going to rain which meant that Jesse wouldn't have to water his growing crops today. Although tomorrow would be much work due to the seeds he was going to buy today. He went to the stable and saddled up his horse. It was a friesian horse; about 1.2 meters tall with a thin mane. It had been his horse for a few years now and he had come to grow fond of it.

"Let's go then." He sat on his horse's back and picked up the reigns. He pulled on them to steer her outside and headed off for the city.

 ((Edited my post to add some spell-casting abilities. Hopefully, that's OK; if not, let me know and I'll change it.))

Brendan opened up his shop. There was a placid smile on his face as it seemed like it would be a fairly pleasant day in Scarlet City. He propped up the board that closed up his counter, then placed the display merchandise on its place. Finally, he tied up his neck-long hair and fixed his tunic.

"Well," he said with a confident grin, "we're open once again."

Taking a deep breath, he soon yelled, "Ladies and gentlemen, the Potions and Supplies Shop is once again opened, and we're here to serve all your needs! We have healing potions, strengthening potions, remedy potions, ropes, herbs, oils and much more!"

Slowly, a couple of people began walking towards his counter. Most of his clientele seemed to be made up of travelers and adventurers, probably stocking up on items for when they head back out the city to confront the dangers of the Grave Keeper's land.

Knowing about the horrible things that lie just outside the Scarlet Forest, Brendan smiled gently, probably to offer a bit of hospitality and perhaps even some tranquility.

"Welcome. How may I help you today?"

 "The mushi haven't been the same since the Grave Keeper stepped in... They've actually evolved a bit, which isn't always good when it comes to certain types of mushi... Still, the balance between the good mushi and the bad mushi is thinning... I need to catch it. Maybe then I'll have an upper hand when dealing with the Toyokoma... Its drawing near to this city, which only gives me a small window to stop it from coming here... What are earth could be drawing it though? Could it be me? Could it be this damn spirit in my left eye?" Ki's thoughts wondered as he lifted his hand and placed it on his eye patch. Ki didn't lose his left eye. In fact, it was still there, and allowed him to see better then his normal eye to a certain point. His left eye has a living spirit in it. This spirit eye gives him minor abilities, however, he has yet to unlock them all. Yet, this spirit in his eye is also eating away at him every time its in use. A normal eye patch wouldn't do, thus, another mushi master made a special eye patch for him.

"If it is my left eye, then I'm the one that caused the Toyokoma to come here, which means I'm the one that needs to deal with it... Would that be enough though? I haven't been in this city for that long, and already I'm attracting deadly mushi... I'm guessing this is because of the Grave Keeper. His tainted evil is consuming everything in its path... If I want to end all this, I'll need end the Grave Keeper."

"Welcome. How may I help you today?"

Ki was snapped out of his deep thinking as he looked towards Brendan. He hadn't even notice that the lad walked by him and set up shop. Ki would normally come once a week. However, this was his second time here. He'd normally ask for some cloth or herbs. However, today would be different.

"Gold oil, rice paper, silk, and nails." Ki replied, his usual self of getting straight to the point and not offering a cheerful hello or greeting. His expression was emotionless, and his eye was always fixed on one spot for a long time, normally on Brendan.

 "Coming right up, sir!" the young man responded with a nervous smile. He had a tendency for being quite shy withe some people, though he normally managed to work through it when it came to his customers.

Fidgeting around the contents hidden beneath his counter, he pulled out a transparent container with a golden liquid inside, a couple of paper sheets, a roll of fabric and then he stood back up with a small box in his hand.

He began placing the items atop the counter in the same order in which he pulled them out.

"That's gold oil, rice paper, silk and..." he then shook the box in his hand, and a metal rattling could be heard inside. He placed the box on the counter and opened it to reveal the content, "nails. That will be 53 coins, please."

 "What do you mean, sick?" Adrick pinched the bridge of his nose and looked to his mother, who held a rather large satchel out in front of him.

"I mean that your father is ill and you need to go into the city for us and deliver this." She pushed it into him and dropped it, prompting Adrick to catch it before it fell, who opened his mouth to protest, but was interrupted by the ring of the shop door. His mother placed a slip of paper on the table next to her and began to walk off.

"The addresses are on that card, with all of the information you need and there are more bags outside. Also, please, put something else on, you can't travel like that." She said before leaving Adrick's view, leaving him with the task. Muttering profanities and complaints to himself, he took an old suit of leather armor that he had noticed in the storeroom a while before. He had never seen it on sale, or any other time, in fact and thought that his parents really wouldn't mind if he borrowed it.

After he gathered some of his own money and a knife his father told him he could have months before, he put the satchel on and noticed how heavy it was.

"I wonder what could be in there, we don't usually have orders from the city." He thought to himself, nearly opening the satchel before the reality dawned on him. This wasn't the only package he had to deliver, much to his disdain, but he didn't mind. Adrick never got to go to the city, so it was nice to get out of the shop.

Adrick was soon done packing his father's horse, two large bags were attached to the horse and the satchel was on Adrick, so he hopped on and left for the city, mildly excited to see it for the first time in a few years.
