Kirge ran into the base, though he couldn't help glimpsing back at the Lightfall. There was this powerful temptation to try and test its properties, see if he could really get the power to bring back his emperor, or maybe change his life into something just a little more meaningful. But for now, he had to look after Peter. Stupid kid is going to get himself killed if I'm not here, he resolved. It would be a shame for his ambition to go to waste. |

Peter got to the lab to use the first potion hr could find. After that he turn to the throne a room, a room with noting but a throne. "So this is where his all mighty just sat all day." Peter replied. He was finally noticing that his idea of becoming someone was going to be harder that he was expecting. He grabs his sword and starts breaking the chair into pieces, has small has he could, until all it was left was small parts scattered throw the room. He's about to leave the room when he notices there was a door underneath the chair. He opens it and it shows stairs that go down into darkness. He closes the door and decides to return to near Kirge, pondering about telling him bout that door or not. |

"So I suppose we stay here until the Lightfall subsides?" Kirge asks the boy as he walks in. He watches a live feed of the outside through a screen in the main room. "We could try to hack into the master's old documents, see if there was anything he had planned for this particular day." He walked over to the computer and stared at it. It looked a little too advanced for him to work. "Any ideas?" |

Given his father is wasn't that odd he had an good variety of cool relatives... but none of them really supported Peter choice of life. "Well... yes and no..." Peter said. It was obvious he was trying to avoid having to do this. "The guy's my brother and he decided not to become a fighter. So my dad send him to a mage school. He kind of miss all classes except one. Its a very rare kind of magic power that involves math and scientific knowledge. He gave me this in case I ever need him." He send a small circular object in the air and catches it. It was slightly bigger that his own hand, and he kept sending it few more times before finishing what he was saying. "I can communicate with him throw this and with luck, he can help us. Assuming he isn't busy and still talking to me." |

"It's better than nothing, I'd assume," Kirge responded. He couldn't quite understand what Peter meant by 'if he's still talking to me.' It just seemed a little difficult for the old platypus to believe that such a young kid would have that big a problem with his own family, then again, he used to be one of his late master's grunts. "Give it a try, if you think it's best." |

"Fine. Might has well, I don't talk with the guy for month." He presses a red button in the middle of the thing he had in his hand and he starts talking to it like if it was a phone. He takes a few steps away from Kirge for a more private conversation. Still Peter shouts a lot throw the whole conversation. When he was done he throw the device into the center of the room. The device release 4 ends that flied until the end corners of the room. From the middle of the "thing" a blue image appears. "I can't believe I actually agree to do this." Peter exclaims has he sees is younger brother. His brother was name Carl. He was slightly lower that Peter and had a blue rob, that cover the whole body, plus no wand or any kind of weapon. "You rang. I can't wait until mom finds about this. Her little baby all grown up and in running an empire all by himself." Carl jokes about. "Well, my first order of business is to find you and put you in a jail, with duck tape to cover that mouth of yours." "Well, shut up will you. You know my deal. I'll help you, plus give you a new weapon if you agree to try said deadly weapon to see if the user can survive it." He said with an innocent smile. "Fine, just talk with Kirge, he'll tell you all you need to know." Peter finish grinding his teeth. It might look childish but both had gone with this dynamic since a long time ago. Only now did Carl had the chance to be the one to annoy, an opportunity he couldn't let pass. Peter left the room to his room while Carl asked Kirge what this important problem seem to be. (I have 0 imagination. That a character base on a real brother of mine. The only I have.) |

((Damn it! Every time I post, the site glitches out on me!)) Kirge sat down with a sigh. he felt exhausted. He didn't even notice Peter and Carl arguing, and almost missed the part where his new boss left him alone to talk with his brother. "Explain the situation, huh?" Kirge says. "Well, alright, then. Listen close, kid. The Lightfall is a magical phenomena that occurs when the dimensional space of an area in this planet crosses paths with a magical dimension from the overall multiverse. When this happens, time is frozen during sunset and the last pouring rays of the sun become unending. The perpetual light then mixes in with the magical qualities of the other dimension and the rays are shattered, then begin to spread all over the area as bursts of magically-imbued solar energy." He swallowed and then added. "We have no way of knowing how the energy is converted or into what, precisely. Some of this magical energy might be useful while other might be risky and we haveno way of knowing what helps and what kills. We're trapped." |

"Well, I though Peter send me here because of computer problems, but this is far more interesting." Carl answer. He wasn't physically there with gave him little angle of action besides talking. "Well, I read a little about this in the mage library. It said this dimension witch causes the Lightfall is the source of all magic power in our dimension. That same power divides in many types. 4 elemental and 4 mental. Earth/fire/water/wing plus Light/Chaos/Laws/Deserters. Its said that each person is bound to one of each element and weak against another. Its not has linear has it seems. Someone that benefits from Fire and Light isn't automatically weak against Water and Darkness. This means that a the light has different effects depending on the person. Its still unknown if it harmful if the energy doesn't mach your strength or weakness. So sorry to say, even if we could find out with type are you and my brother, I would still be far away from knowing if the rays would help or harm you." (Sorry, I just get all my idea stuck into your project.) |

Seeing as you're a mage, I figured it might have been easier to see what you knew about the Lightfall. Guess that wasn't any good either. I guess we're back to the computer. "Well, being good with Arithmetician isn't just for show." Carl says. He looks at the computers. There where old, rusty and probably near the break point before malfunctioning. They would had to do. "He should be here in a few minutes." Carl said referring to his brother disappearing. Peter had leave to go get something else his brother had give him. "Anything else you may want to tell me about him before he gets here." Arithmetician, is a math base magic teaching that lets users analyze the field around them. If Kirge was hiding something from Carl, he would see it on his face and small natural reactions, like stress. (I love making things up on the spot. Is always a sure way to open a new door.) |
