When the world was subjected to an evil dictator, all hope had appeared lost. No matter how many resistances and heroes tried to rise up against the tremendous evil force, all failed miserably before his might. Years passed and then one day, a new hero rose. This hero sought to end the terror spread by this cruel man. He believed that with the right help,he could stop this villain. But as he watched his allies die one by one in the savage onslaught, he realized no one who stood against the darkest of lords could ever hope to survive. Of course, that didn't meant he was completely invincible. In one last attempt, the hero and his remaining allies storm the dictator's fortress. They try to kill anyone who tries to stop them. Finally, it comes down to the hero and dark lord. When all was said and done, no one remained standing. While the people grieved the hero's passing, they cheered their freedom. Except...unbeknownst to them... there were survivors from the face-down. More precisely, two minions with great ambitions... (Setting's up; want to introduce your character first or should I introduce mine?) |

(I'll start.) "So heavy. Where am I, what happened?" That was the first thought of Peter, the moment he wake up. He tried to move, to realize he was under many minions, all dead. He finally finds a exit. Has he gets up he finds that his arm was broken. He start and look around and all he sees is ... blood and death. All he could find where the corridors full of dead minions. The wall painted in red and the feeling that no one warned him this event Has he makes the way to the top floor, he finds out what happened. The emperor and the heroes dead. "A fight, I can't remember. How did I survive? Where my sword?" He keeps walking looking for some kind of life, anyone. |

Hm... I'm asleep? he wondered groggily as he felt too exhausted to open his eyes. Should I... get up? The platypus that laid on the ground squirmed a bit more before finally openning his eyes. Everything was fuzzy at first. He rubbed his eyes and blinked several times before realizing he was at his master's throne room. "What...?" he was baffled. Unable to recall what happened or how he got there, he tries to push himself up, taking his sweet time to do so. No sense in hurrying here. All of a sudden, it all comes back to him. "Master!" he cries out with a gasp. But then he spots the murdered emperor. He tries to hurry to his side, hoping he was still alive. Falling on his knees over the exhaustion from battle and the strains of his wounds, he looks upon the other surviving minion. "Is he..?" |

"Master!" Peter turn around to see where did the scream come from, he walks a few steps and he finds someone. He saw ... a platypus. It look like another minion. This is when he realize something. If he kill him he would had the fortress all for himself, all that power just in his hands, all at the cost of simply swinging a sword. But could he do it, was it worst and more important did he had the straight needed to do so. He crouches for a while near the other dead minions. He grabs a sword that was on the floor and waits to see what happens. |

"I asked you something!" the platypus yelled. "Is the master all right or not?!" With much of a struggle, he finally manages to force his body to stand. He then limps towards the individual. "Don't just stand there!" he yells yet again. "Check for a pulse or something!" |

"I guess I was spot." He move in the direction of the platypus. "Who cares about him? Even if he isn't dead, I might has well kill him myself. I'm tired of being a nameless minion, I want power, people to fear me, to know who I am, and I'll achieve that goal even if I've got to kill him and you. Its a dog eat dog world and if he dies is his own fault." He get near the big bad and kicks it not seeing any signal that he was alive. Edited by Pedruben, Jul 4 2011, 12:32 PM.

The platypus watches as the individual kicks the emperor's carcass. It was a sad day for him, just seeing that man lay there. "A man of such aspiration and might," he muttered to himself. "Such a pity to see him go this way." He then turned to the exasperated ex-minion. "The name's Kirge Trudd," he says as he leans on the debris. "Kill me or not, it doesn't matter to me; the only thing I looked forward to in this life was serving this man until the end of it." Kirge looked silently at the corpses around him. He felt no pity or sadness for any of them, with the already admitted exception of the emperor, of course. "I will tell you this, though," he says as he closes his eyes trying to look for relief, "you won't amount to much on your own, even with all these 'heroes' dead." |

Peter look around too see a loot of work need to be done and it would take years with a broken arm. He rises to a pile of dead minion and look at Kirge. "I guess you rather stay near the birds that spend your life trying to learn how to fly. So be it. Well your death won't give me anything, so what do you say Kirge, will you help me out? It won't take too long before the cities around here send man to see what happened. We can fight to see who the next Emperor or you can help me out? Its your choice." |

"This bird was born without wings, unfortunately," Kirge said as he pushed himself upward. "Someone like you, who is so blinded by the thirst for power rather than be enlightened by a goal or purpose in life... you won't get far," he said. "This is a suicidal mission you're engaging in, blinded by your own greed, but as I said, I have no reason to live, so whatever; count me in." That said, he reached for a dead minion's shotgun, and supported himself with it as if it were a crane. "Now don't worry about me; I'm notorious for healing quickly." |

"Save you predictions for later. It seems that humans aren't so lucky about healing but I'll be fine. So what the first..." His speech was suddenly stop. He fall down from the tower of dead bodies where he was falling in his arm. The pain made him scream and he got up with some struggles. "My arm, I wasn't expecting this." He look back at Kirge incapable of hiding weakness and tiredness. "So... what's the ... first order of business?" |

"You tell me," the mammal said as he slowly made his way to Peter. So vulnerable and fragile he was at the moment, that for the first time in what seemed like forever, he was once again feeling old in his step. Regardless, he supported himself with the shotgun and reached the guy. "I suggest," he said as he carefully bent and pulled Peter's good arm over his neck, "that we get out of here." He then carefully pulls him up to his feet, allowing him to rest his weight on Kirge. |

"Not a bad idea." Peter took a moment looking at the bodies in the middle of the room. "So many rare ... weapons and items, if we leave them ... we might not have another chance to ... grab them. I guess... I should be more worried about my arm. Very well lets go." He took his arm from Kirge neck. He could walk fine, his only problem was the pain in his arm. He decides to go in front of Kirge and into the control room trying to keep his arm for getting worse. It was a room full of computer screens. He looks at the security cameras for the entrance door, and sees what happening. Outside, 4 or 5 knight where starting to enter the fortress with 2 healers in an attempt to find the heroes. "Crap, I thought we ... had more time." He rushes back to near Kirge and tells him what happening. "Any plan dude? Its not like he can trick them into thinking that we're the heroes." |

"Let's see if this still works," Kirge said as he pulled out a remote and pressed a button on it. The roof over their heads opened up as an enormous air vessel rose overhead. A small hatch underneath it opened, and a string ladder unrolled, finally ending on the floor where they stood. "This was supposed to be there in case our leader ever needed to do an emergency escape," the platypus explained. "But he never felt the need; who knows, maybe if he had tried to escape from this particular fight, he may still be alive..." |

"You snooze, you lose I guess." Peter said before start climbing the ladder with one hand. As the two of them finnaly reach the airship Peter finally finds the time to do a presentation. "My name is Peter, 17 years old, front line human swordmaster and part-time assassin. What about you?" After he eared Kirge answer (or not) He asked where was that airship heading for. |

Kirge followed after Peter up the ladder. Once inside, he roped up the ladder and headed to the pilot's seat. "My name is Peter, 17 years old, front line human swordmaster and part-time assassin. What about you?" "As I mentioned before, I'm Kirge Trudd," the platypus said as he began piloting the craft. "I'm 55-years-old; I suppose I was something of a right-hand man to the emperor, though I'm mostly a pilot. "As to where we're going, I was thinking of one of the master's more private hideouts," he said. "Should be safe enough there." |
