To those invited, simply make your post introducing your character. If you're not invited but interested in joining, send me a PM.

Although not related to the actual setting and series whatsoever and takes place on a completely different world, this is a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles RP, with the only things in common are the four tribes(Clavats, Selkies, Yukes, and Lilties), and spells. The spells themselves can by anything in the Final Fantasy universe, even if it's not in CC itself(Although spells outside of CC, I prefer only spells from the main core series, and I don't want characters having powers similar to the Crystal Bearers). An example would be is that summoning is allowed, as well as spells such as Doom and Petrify. Also, if you're familiar with the monsters, then try to use those but feel free to make your own if the time comes if you aren't, as long as it fits in the actual setting.

The setting by the way takes place on the planet known as Liladiam, an old medevial setting, yet a bit steampunk as they are airships and stuff. Although I think the story will mostly take place on one continent.

Any other questions than feel free to ask.

RP is closed as me and Miracle are too far in to accept anybody else. So it's just an RP between us.
------------------------------------------------

The small peaceful village of Nola, located not far from the nearby ocean and mountains, with a beautiful plains covering the rest of the land. It seemed like another peaceful day. Or boring day to Fenris Alastaire, a young sixteen-year-old Clavat living with his family in the small village.

Fenris sighs. A small rural village like this leaves him incredibly bored. Sure, he has friends and he knows a few magic spells, but there's nothing really exciting in the village.

But today is just not one of those days.

It was incredibly windy, with the clouds darkening the sky above as it starts to rain. Fenris sighs because he's a bit away from the village, bored but traveling the area nearby for no reason. He has to hold onto his white hat, which resembles a moogle's head. The wind is rapidly blowing the hat's antenna which has a red pom-pom at the tip flailing. The hat is keeping his short blond hair mostly dry however, except parts of his blond hair are still hanging out of his hat around his head.

This is miserable. Not only it's pouring, but it will take Fenris a couple minutes to return to his home in the village. They were just a few clouds before, but now somehow it completely covered the sky. His white, silver buttoned up vest outlined yellow and long white sleeve shirt is getting soaked, as well as his dark grey and silver striped shorts. He's scared that his black shoes and white socks will get covered in mud now. What did the gods of Liladiam have against Fenris?

However, still not that close to the village, things go from bad to worst as Fenris gasps and falls into a small hole, surprisingly deep, covering the scene in dust. "Ow...."

A young woman walks into the village, hauling a large burlap sack behind her. Despite the sudden rain, she doesn't seem in any hurry to get to shelter, nor does she seem to be worried about covering herself from the rain. She just continues walking towards a building.

Upon reaching it, she opens the back door and walks in, soaking wet.

"Gracious me, Davila Roojay," a female Lilty shouted alarmed as she ran to her, "you're soaking wet!"

"I know that," she responded, a little exhausted. "I was getting these materials for Dad over at the river, then it began raining on the way back."

She then pulled the sack on top of a table with a loud THUD and smiled cheerfully, "But don't worry; the materials are fine!"

"The hell with those things!" the Lilty fussed as she pulls the young woman down to her height and starts drying her face with a towel. "You're going to catch a cold; I've always told you that it's your health over your job!"

"Mom," Davila insisted as she gently pushed back her overbearing mother and took the towel, "without my job, I'm pretty much broke."

"You can always move back in with us." The mother replies. "It won't cost you a single dime."

"I rather not..." The daughter answered. She was finally 18-years-old and ready to live her own life. Sure she loved her parents, but she wanted to go out there and really experience life on her own.

"There she is!" a male Selkie cheered as he walked in.

"Hey, Dad," Davila greeted, only to be ignored as the man walked right past her and began inspecting the contents of the sack.

"Did you get the Sahagin Fins?"

"Eight of them," his daughter answered. "As well as thirteen Jellyfish Bon-bons and-"

"Wonderful!" he interrupted. "Now I can fill in all those orders; our customers will love their brand new weapons. Good job!"

Davila nodded as she dried her short, pinkish-orange hair, being extra careful with her vermillion bud. The half Selkie-half Lilty soon handed her mother the towel back and approached her father, who was still inspecting the goods.

"Now how about my pay?" she asked.

The man looked at her suddenly, not looking quite as happy as he was minutes ago. "Er, I'm sorry, honey... I'm a little strapped for money right now... Maybe I could pay you later?"

Davila looked at him somewhat discouraged then shook her head, "Or... don't worry about it at all, Dad. I'm sure someone at the Guild is waiting there for me now to give me a job as we speak."

"You're leaving so soon?" her mother fussed.

"It's all right," the young woman said as she headed out. "I'll see you guys later."

Back under the rain, she felt a bit relieved her sturdy armor covered most of her. From her neck down to her ankles, she wore a crimson red fabric with a few simple gray designs. She wore a short, bronze breastplate that covered her chest, as well as bronze shoulder plates, bronze gauntlets and bronze boots.

She then tried to make her way out the village, passing by a certain hole in the ground.

Getting painfully up, Fenris immediately looked around... and realized the hole he fell in is pretty deep. In fact, there's a tunnel in front of him. What could this possibly lead to? Maybe shelter for the people of Nola in case of some natural disaster? Regardless, the hole is too far above him so it appears to be his only choice but he's kinda scared. It's... dark in there.

Fenris breathed heavily out of frustration, as he saw a rat climbing on a nearby wall. Bored and not a huge fan of rats, he grabbed a rock and chucked it at the rat. He missed but it scared the rat off, burrowing into the ground. This is great. Dark cave, and they are at least rats here. However, Fenris noticed it made a crack on the wall, and it spread to the ground above.

"..."

Suddenly, the ground beneath the stranger that voyaged near the hole cracked and burst open, sending the traveler to the muddy grounds below.

Davila was just about to run past the hole when the ground beneath her gave.

"Ack!" was all she could utter as she found herself rapidly descending.

As she finally reached the bottom, she remained lying down; she was still a bit in shock. After a couple of minutes, her mind finally caught up and she realized what had.

"Ow..." she mumbled to herself as she slowly twisted her torso to the side, firmly placing a bent arm on the ground as she sat up. Her face tightened, a little disgusted with the taste of blood that was brought upon her when she accidentally bit her tongue.

Sitting up, the young woman notices the Clavat in front of her. She hurries to a stand and smiles half-heartedly.

"Hello," she says, a bit nervously. "I suppose I took quite a trip there, hehe..."

Fenris is slightly startled by the newcomer, revealing herself as a female Lilty. This doesn't help. Fenris was hoping for a tall person, anybody but a Lilty to help them climb out the hole, but it seems the only option now is to voyage the dark tunnel ahead of them.

"Ahaha, yes, you took quite a trip like me," Fenris said nervously, who caused Davila to fall into the cave. "What's... your name? I am Fenris Alastaire."

"Davila Roojay," the hybrid said as she stretched her hand out. At this point, she was trying a little too hard to shake her embarrassment. Falling down a hole doesn't exactly scream 'I'm a top-notch mercenary,' which of course is the sort of reputation she tries to establish for herself.

"Pleasure to meet you," Fenris said, nodding, as he turned to the tunnel ahead of him. "I don't suppose you have a light of some sort, do you? Or familiar with this place."

Seeing the path ahead is leading towards Fenris's left direction, to the mountains, this can't possibly lead to the village. Who build this, he wonders?

"I'm afraid I don't know," Davila answers. "I wasn't even aware that this existed."

She then reached into a pouch she had strapped around her waist. Digging through the gil, she pulled out a Grain of Light and held it up. The tiny object produced a bit of light; about as much as a candle.

"I suppose we might as well search for a way out..."

The light. It's fairly weak. But there's nothing else to use, as the two of them stepped into the darkness, with the light as their only use of light. "Neither have I...."

Something seems horribly wrong though as footsteps can be heard in front of them.

"Get'em!" said a beastly voice. Suddenly, goblins, purple skinned and dressed in bronze armor with bigger ones acting as generals, flooded and ran right at them, carrying wooden clubs.

"Ack," Fenris reacted, realizing he doesn't have a sword or any kind of weapon.

"What the-?!" Davila jumped back as she pulled out her Princess Knight paddle.

Normally, she'd dive head-first into the heat of battle, however, she had never had to face so many enemies at once. From what she had heard from fellow guild members, goblins don't normally pose a threat. Unfortunately, she was very inexperienced with goblins, so she didn't know if this held true for herself.

Turning desperately to the Clavat, she looks for another way out. "What do we do?!"

"Uh... I don't-"

BOOM.

A goblin came up behind the two and hit Fenris in the noggin, instantly knocking him out and falling toward the dirty ground below. As the other goblins moved on in closer, with one of them grabbing Fenris and sucking him into the crowd as the goblin prepared to swing their club at the lilty he was with.

"Stop!"

Needless to say, the girl's plead was completely ignored as the goblins attacked snatched away Fenris. Getting back into a defensive position, Davila gripped her paddle.

OK... This is it! she thought to herself as the goblins began launching attacks on her, one after the other. She managed to bash away two or three, but as soon as they ganged up on her, she was rendered immobile. Before she had time to realize what was coming next, one of the clubs came down on her head with enough force to knock her out as well.

Moments later...

Fenris woke up, beaten and sore, as he slowly opened his eyes, examining the scene around them. The knocked out Davilia is sitting beside him, and it appears they are both leaning a rocky wall, on some wooden deck with wooden bridges attached to the side of the mountains.

"What's going on?" Fenris muttered, as he looked around. The rain stopped, but it's very dark and cloudy above them, and goblins could be seen walking on the wooden pathways a distant away, running towards somewhere. Fenris could see smoke in the distance as well, and his eyes immediately widened as he ran over to the wooden railing.

The village. Nola. It's on fire.

Davila soon hisses under her breath. She slowly reaches to the back of her head and flinches as she feels her wound.

"That's..." she mutters as she finally comes back to reality. Her eyes dart up as she tries to recall what happened. Getting up, she looks at her surrounding. After viewing the same scenery as Fenris, she turns to him.

Then the smoke. She squints her eyes, trying to organize her thoughts. When she finally catches up with the situation, she leaps to her feet and her heart thunders inside her.

"No!"

"What's going on?!?" Fenris asked, noticing Davilia awake a moment later. "Oh good. You're awake."

Are the goblins responsible for this? No, it seems more than just a simple goblin attack. There's more than what's going on. Fenris suddenly thought of something. The tunnel he and Davilia fell in. Could it be a... invasion tunnel toward Nola? No, right now, he has to find a way off the mountains along with his friend.

"Sigh," said a voice, as Fenris instantly turned around. "I knew my goblins should have killed you."

Fenris spotted a Yuke, male it seems, wearing black robe with bronze armor shoes, with his hands made of metal it seems of the same color. The helmet is pointy, with two horns like the devil on it.

"You..." Fenris wasted no time, ready to punch the Yuke, but it seemed he expected this.

"Stop," he whispered, as Fenris felt himself stop in his tracks instantly, not able to move or twitch a muscle. A Time Magic spell. However, it seemed like he's not done.

"Now disappear," he said. "Warp."

Suddenly, a vortex appeared above Fenris as it quickly sucked him up and disappeared. The Yuke easily disposed of Fenris and looked at Davilia next.
