about an hour later, I slowly opened my eyes, to see glass. everything was blurry. where... am I...? I wondered groggily, where's Echo?

I'm only going to do a theme song, because everyone seems to think I get too carried away with my signatures.

 Jak was sitting in a chair, annoyed by Tei's crying. He didnt want anything bad happening to Joy either, but crying kind of irritated him. He saw Joy's eyes open, but didnt get up. She would need to stay in there for her to be safe. Micheal was working on Echo, trying to keep her alive.

"Tei...?" there was a mask that was on my mouth and nose, it was attached to the top of the tank so I could breathe and talk. my eyes were half open, feeling really weak. "are-are... you okay...?" I looked at her through the glass. I could tell she had been crying.

I smiled weakly. "I-I'm..." but I didn't get to finish my sentence, because I fell asleep right then. I was really tired...

meanwhile, Echo was losing life. her heart rate was getting slower and slower by the second. she had been shot in the ribs, losing a lot of blood and breaking her ribs in the process. she couldn't hold her life. her heart got slower... slower... then stopped dead.

 Michea knew there wasnothing that could be done. He went into the kalto room and tapped Jak on the shoulder. Jak looked up and Micheal whispered something in his ear.

"No way, this'll kill Joy to know that." Jak told him.

Micheal nodded and looked at Joy in the tank. He shook his head and went back out.

Kayla was getting ready for her 3rd class of the day, which was algebra, when she saw Rex, her boyfriend, standing by her locker.
"Rex!" Kayla said.
"Hey there, babe."
Rex gave his GF a kiss on the cheek. "So, are we still on for tonight?"
Kay smiled. "Yup. You know it."
Rex Smiled as well. "Ok. I'll pick you up, and let Your old man know about it." He was always sure to Let Aaron know about any date he went on with her. Aaron usually agreed. He knew that Rex was good-hearted, and wouldn't do anything to harm Kayla. The two kissed their goodbyes and went to class, Rex to English and Kayla to Algebra.

even though I had no idea that Echo had died, I had a feeling in my gut that something else was wrong. my eyes flickered open, not being able to sleep any more. I saw Tei looking at me through the glass. suddenly, I thought of Echo. I had almost forgotten about her. I looked at Tei straight in the eyes.

"Where's... Echo...?"

my eyes went wide. "E-Echo... died...?" I sniffled. "oh... Echo... my bestest friend...?" there was nothing else to say. I felt like my heart was going to break. not just a crack, but in tiny little pieces, scattered. I burst into tears. I sobbed, until I couldn't sob anymore. then I turned over on my side, and didn't talk to anyone. not even Tei. my heart had a huge hole in it. and that hole can't be filled by anyone, only time. I stared at the wall.

(man, I'm making myself cry. *sniff sniff* anyway, I gotta go now... see ya tomorrow!)

Jak sighed. He walked over and opened the tank. The masks came off of Joy, and the liquid was drained. Jak walked back over and helped Joy out.

"I'm sorry. If you want to go say your good-byes, she's out on Micheal's workbench." Jak told her.
