Last night, Mom had me drive her and the kids to the movies to watch this film.

The first had been OK, if you ask me, so I decided, "What the heck? I'll give it a shot." And quite honestly, I wasn't disappointed. I liked it better than the original.

The movie's main plot where Po realizes he's adopted and wants to find out his actual identity is the sort of plot that has been done to death, but it fits in pretty well with the darker images and themes the sequel has in contrast to the first.

The fighting scenes are some of the most gorgeous displays of 3D animation I have ever seen- fluid movement and sheer action; none of the characters miss a single beat. The combination attacks, specially, are definitely what you'd call eye candy.

Po and Tigress' new partners-in-crime type of friendship is also something to like. They don't act as your usual 'Batman and Robin' duo. They're constantly shifting leadership between the two rather than resorting to the whole hero and sidekick or master and student schtick. It was also nice to see the kind of lengths Tigress would go through for a friend.

And finally, Lord Shen = best peacock character ever. |3

Yeah, this movie was definitely an eye catcher. The music was good, animation was sublime, plot was interesting. I was quite skeptical to see the second movie, concidering most of the "part two"'s are bad. So I was suprised with this outcome. Went to see it with my boyfriend and he got goosebumps at the epic fighting scene, haha.

Jeez Mira, can't you put up a warning for spoilers? Almost ruined the film for me there.

Now then, about this film. At first I was pretty excited to see it and I really wanted to go but now, eh. I'll just wait for the DVD release. I still wanna see it but I feel it won't be worth the ticket price. Plus, there are a few other movies I wanna see in theaters, way more than this one.

Show...Off

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. I love the CGI style in the movie. And the cut scenes that are more comic-book looking were fantastic. This movie obviously for kids, but I still thought it was great. Some parts were a little too kiddish to me, but that's to be expected. :)

Break out the L-word. The other L-word.
I actually loved this movie. Shen, Po and Tigress (big surprise) were my favorite characters, but mainly Tigress. :P

The final fight was amazing. Almost makes me wanna go watch the original (I can't even really remember what it was about :P)

@Elk: As far as I'm concerned, I was very careful not to give away spoilers. What did I miss?

@Vermillion: Definitely a kid's movie through and through, but I feel it's good enough to entertain older audiences. :3

@Mira:Well I began to read your post and it just seemed like you were heading in the direction of just giving something away. I was trying to be so careful that I didn't really read it all. My mistake though. :D
