Well aside from its bad ergonomic design, it pretty much renders the 3DS useless. Why have a dedicated handheld if your next console is both? I like the idea, I just feel it was executed poorly. Edited by Neo Metallix, Jun 7 2011, 11:25 AM.

Well, the 3DS has 3D, if you care about it. Not to mention the two will have different games. And by the time the WiiU comes out, the 3DS will have been out for a year if not two. |

The WiiU is not a handheld. You can't take the controller on the road and expect to be able to play games on it; Iwata and Reggie have explained this clearly. It is, essentially, the Dreamcast's VMU taken up several notches. |

I see. Well I'm not counting Nintendo out, I think it'll do well. I just am not impressed is all. I heard them spouting innovation in their conference and it just sounded like a bunch of BS hype to me, similar to how Sony said incredible things about the PS2 before it launched. They just made motion controls popular, it was around way before the Wii.

I am a little disappointed about this year's E3 in general, I think last year's was a lot better. But whatever, it's not over yet. |

I have to admit I thought last years was better too, but none of them bombed this year and it was decent. |

I've just checked out the site for Nintendo's E3. Let me say something briefly about the WiiU First off, I do hope that's not going to be the final name. ![]() Otherwise, I'm with Bliz here; screw you guys, this thing looks absolutely epic. Touch screen controller? HD Graphics? Hell yeahz. Edited by HollyYoshi, Jun 7 2011, 11:35 AM.

Project Cafe? ... Project Coffee Shop? That's an awesome name. But yeah, the name WiiU does kind of suck. |

Motion controls were around Metallix, but they sucked far more nor were they marketed with mass appeal. But this is different than merely motion controls, however. This is greater interactivity between your controller and the television screen. If I were to turn off the tv while you were playing Battlefield or whatever, you would lose your shits because you are reliant completely on the television screen to see what you're doing. With the WiiU, not a problem-- you can continue playing seamlessly with probably the same graphical output because the video reverts to the display screen on the controller. This type of interactivity extends itself to other possibilities: You can have multiple viewpoints of the same game, opening up the possibilities of different games and genres, or you can use the actual screen to perform in-game functions on the television more easily simply by holding it up. Dismissing this as "just motion controls" is a complete misunderstanding of what we know so far about the WiiU, and I can only imagine how Nintendo is going to take advantage of this tech with their first-party titles. |

In other Nintendo E3 related news, Luigi's Mansion 2 for the 3DS. Kinda ironic considering the first game was designed to run in 3D. And as for Super Mario 3D, has a lovely smell of old meets new. |

Also, no more screen peeking. Hey, it could happen. Also, Luigi's Mansion 2? ... YES. |

And submarine karts . . . Why they made that into a feature is beyond me but I'm sure it will become clearer when we get more info. |
