Wait, Sly 4?!? I didn't see that, as I'm just reading off of articles but can you show me a link? I must have missed that. I am a huge Sly fan. xD Anyway, a friend summarized everything of Nintendo's E3 conference for me, as the articles started to flood in on IGN. Looks like another excellent E3 conference from Nintendo! The Wii U, the name of Ninty's new console, got HUGE third-party support, getting more hardcore with games like Assassin's Creed, Tekken, Ninja Gaiden, as well as famous developers showing interest in it, which is a huge boost for Nintendo as they been criticized since the Gamecube days for not having enough support. Nintendo themselves didn't confirm much for the console, and will likely have more of course, but did confirm Luigi's Mansion 2 and likely a new Smash Bros. for the WiiU and 3DS. A lot of 3DS games were what we knew about, a lot simply confirming release dates and trailers, but I'm still looking forward to the awesome lineup. It seems that the touch-screen controller codenamed 'Project Cafe' is confirmed by the way. Curious how it turns out, but it seems like an interesting idea that we can only judge till we try it ourselves. Oh and say what you want, that the PS3/360 already has HD, but oh god, the Wii U is going be amazing. Just look at this image and tell me you're not amazed. Eh, their new console seems more of the same to me and I view it as them JUST now catching up to their competitors. Don't like the controller design, it looks very uncomfortable and unnecessary. It'll be interesting to see if they can get the casual audience that bought the Wii back for the Wii U. It seems to me like they wanted to sell the Controller alone, because there wasn't any info about the device. I'm not asking for a price this early on, but at least some specs or basic stuff... A PS3 controller is already $55 new, this thing has got to be expensive! I'm just not impressed or interested but, like the Wii, the real info will come at next year's E3. lol The games they announced seem to all be multiplatform 3rd party games(the first party stuff was tech demos so far). I agree with Neo SOOO much on the U Controller.. it's fudgeing MASSIVE and it's a rectangle.. it looks like death for small hands. And as for the graphics.. whoopdedoo, in 2-3 years the 360 and PS3 will have successors in line that will blow this console away because they like to be behind the technological curve. |

It's essentially a tablet as a controller. Also, apparently there's a new Bioshock Infinite trailer, so I'll have to go check it out. Also also, Bioshock Infinite might be Move compatible. *Happy* |

That controller is big and uncomfortable looking.. with no curvature. Looking at it, it will be hard to use the buttons and joysticks at the same time without hand shifting and discomfort and you WILL NOT be able to use the buttons and the screen at the same time due to overall massiveness.. I don't see why they don't just make a controller with a smaller screen that looks comfortable to where you just use your fingers on the touch screen.... This is the most awful controller design I have ever seen. @Hooves - look at how he's holding it.. to move your hand down to the D-Pad you will HAVE to sharply bend your thumb and or move the palm of your hand away from the controller.. the same goes for the opposite side. Those hands do NOT look comfortable. There is no way to fluidly operate that controller. |

O hai SB. Anyhoo, onto the WiiU: The graphical capabilities are just an excuse for better third-party support and a way to finally shut the hardcores up, which is a good thing. First-party support will kick ass because it's Nintendo, which is also a good thing, despite the super-ultimate disappointment that we didn't see any of it, even with the mention of a new Super Smash. I'm also digging the functionality the controller has with the games in question-- Being able to play the games at roughly the same quality on the smaller screen and using said screen to perform functions in the game more easily? Screw you guys. That's fuggin' cool. I'm happy with the console overall, and I imagine with Microsoft essentially extending this current generation for a few more years with yet even more Kinect support (*facepalm*), WiiU won't really be in this retarded position of being a one-stop port shop like the Dreamcast was, excusing the fact that it has the name Nintendo behind it anyways. This race has only gotten more interesting. Don't count Nintendo out. After all, the last time we did, the Wii hit 30 million units in like three days. =P [/obvious hyperbole] |

And beyond the problems I have with the design.. the thing has a GIANT screen on it.. almost unnecessarily so.. what is it going to cost to have more than one U controller?? $70? $80? More? So it's an uncreative design with a screen tacked on it, that is huge and uncomfortable looking, and probably the most expensive physical controller we have EVER seen. |

Has there been any news on the possible new Sony console? I havne't been able to watch any of the actual conferences yet. Also, a tablet-controller is cool. It could be that much, since apparently you can play your games on it without a TV screen. |

Nah Sony's only console news has been on the Vita, the PS4 isn't going to be a prime E3 subject till next year if not later, same for the NeXtBox. |
