Force wasn't worried about getting harmed by the Chaos Spears, though, since absorbing the Chaos energy from the Emerald had granted him a temporary resistance to Chaos attacks, just as absorbing electromagnetic energy prevented him from being electrocuted. That didn't stop him from being extremely angry at Shadow, though. He's going to pay for this, Force thought. |

@Aaron: The metallic footsteps get closer and closer. They seem to be above you. You look up and see a ledge. The footsteps move away and then the source of the footsteps enters your field of vision.(I'm not describing it. Click here.) It seems to be patrolling. As the footsteps fade away you hear robotic voices bickering from up on the ledge. (Note: The ledge is slick, so a form of grappling hook won't work.) @742: The chaos spears rammed harmlessly against you. You hear a pop behind you and know that Shadow won't be there if you turn around. (Well, Shiro seems to be gone. I guess I'll take over her character.) You hear a slow clapping behind you. "Very good. Now it's my turn." @Blackhog- er, Chaos: You don't know where you are, but you can tell it's high up because your ears popped the moment you appeared. It appears to be a production facility of some sort. You see robots putting parts onto robot bodies. You see weapons being built, testing areas, and giant pots of molten metal. None of the robots seem to see you now. |

Aaron stayed as still as possible. As the robotic voices grew more and more faint, Aaron noticed that he couldn't get up to the ledge with a grappling hook. He had to find another way onto there. As he started into the corridor, he had his katana drawn. he hoped there weren't any other patrol 'bots around. |

I guess my temporary immunity to Chaos attacks scared him off, Force thought. And he was being paid to kill me? Maybe by Dr. Eggman... Then he heard a threatening voice behind him, which surprised him. He didn't know there was anyone else in the room. He whipped around, dreading what he would see. |

@Aaron: (The voices aren't growing more faint. They are coming from up on the ledge.) You walk along and eventually find a slanted catwalk that seems to be a makeshift path to the upper ledge. You see a flash of white light and hear a popping sound from up where the robot walked towards. The corridor continues on past the catwalk, but, from what you can see, there isn't much of interest down that way. @Chaos: There is a pause for a bit. "Um... I'm not sure, this isn't on my maps of the facility. You can't be too far away because you seem to be right next to the main building, and really high up. So you are either in some unknown flying machine, or some sort of invisible tower. I'll check the records of the area, and you try and get down if you can." The speaker clicks off. A robot walks by you carrying a box of parts. It does a double take and drops the box. It begins to slowly back away. @742: You turn and see Angela. She is standing casually holding a fan. Bubbles come up from the water. "I was hoping one of those two would kill you, but now I guess I may have to. I'll give you a chance to leave. I'll give you a ten minute head start if you want." @Segalove: You go into the tunnel and a door closes behind you. You hear a muffled voice say, "Did you let him go? You idiots!" Then there is a pounding on the door. You enter a cave-like room. The roof is open and sunlight is streaming down, but it's coming down through a giant vertical tunnel. In the middle of the room is a pond with a few plants growing in it. You glimpse a pair of eyes go down under the water and some bubbles come up from underwater. |

And if you try to stop me, I've got several Chaos Spears with your name on them." Force hoped she wouldn't realize that he had only about fifteen seconds left before the energy he absorbed wore off. |

Shadow looked around, and found a hole in the ground. he walked towards it, and saw it was a long vertical tunnel, with a puddle below. *go down... arlight. let's go.* And he jumped down, to fall in the puddle with a HUGE splash. After that, he stood up to find himself in a cave-like room, with no door in the direction he was looking. He brought the bracelet to his mouth again. "what about now?" |

She must be incredibly cocky to give me such a long head start, Force thought. Well, an opportunity's an opportunity. Without replying, Force used all of his remaining energy to attempt to excecute a precise Chaos Control to nearby Eggman's control room--perhaps about two hundred meters away, far away enough so that he wouldn't be immediately detected, but close enough so that getting there would be easy. As he thought the words Chaos Control, Force hoped that he would wind up at least reasonably close to his intended destination.
