![]() ...//May 07th, 5012 The City was a massive, sprawling metropolis. Taking up most of the Eurasian super-continent, encased in an even larger dome to prevent the chaos of freedom that the outside world was based on, despite its ravaged state from the nuclear Collapse that occurred nearly three thousand years ago. After their self-inflicted end of the world known as the Collapse, most if not all of humanity still lives on inside this enormous Megalopolis. It was night-time on the projected monitors that the Dome was made out of, artificial clouds loomed over the City pouring controlled rain down on the streets below. The blood that rested on the street below washed away, covering the sins of others into the sewers below. In one of the alleyways of the City, punching could be heard. A beaten and broken man had been held by his collar by two strange-looking officers wearing gas masks, they spoke in a familiar British accent. "Where is your hideout?!" he punched again, breaking what was left of the man's nose "Stand down, you keep this up. And your going to kill our only lead that we've had in weeks." said the other officer. "I am going to ask 'nicely', where -IS- your gang hiding?" the man spat in masked faces of the two officers. "-FUCK you, and burn in hell..." "We ain't going to get anything out of him..." the other officer pulled out a revolver and pressed it against the forehead of the gang member. "Wait!" "What? He's got nothing more to say." said his partner "I've got an idea... You can tell us where your gang is or, we can dump you in with the Kappa in the lower levels of the City and lets see how long you fair with them..." The smart-mouthed gangster's smug and beaten face quickly turned to fear upon hearing the COP officer's plan for him. "They are in the Southern Subsector Warehouse District in the Germa Region! They are taking shelter in Warehouse 13! Please, anything but the Kappa!" The officer laughed was his partner simply kept holding the revolver to his head. "Alright, -NOW- hes got nothing more to say. Kill him." the other officer acknowledged the order with glee "Gladly..." A loud bang broke through a brief silence, and blood slid across the concrete with the rain sweeping into the sewers. ...And then the long night of sin began, just like it has always been in the City. "Damn it, where the hell is he..." Jax didn't always bother knowing where exactly where everyone was. Practically speaking, it was impossible. There were too many of her people to take account for. 76% chance of capture. Recommend relocation. Jax cursed. Venia was right, of course. But relocating meant permanently losing her agent. However, by this time, it was likely the man was dead. Not only dead, but it was likely he had told them all they'd wanted to know. 91.6% chance. Commence relocation. She sighed before nodding towards another guy. "Pack up. We need to leave ahead of schedule." The top members were always prepared to move at the drop of a hat. Other members couldn't do so, but that was simply a risk they took being here. They knew the risks of capture, but they were all here freely. The man nodded and turned to a fellow rebel. "Pack up all sensitives first. Weapons, intel, you know the drill." A COP quickly handed over the report and just as quickly returned to his post outside the office of Kassandra Fields. The woman did not always handle news well. Fortunately, this report had been at the very least informative. A rebel member had been interrogated and the possible location of a rebel base had been determined. However, these rebels were... Resilient. They seemingly could melt into the shadows whenever the COPS had managed to come close. On top of this, many interrogations had been complete failures. There was also the matter of public dissent to consider... Whatever her mother had said about it being irrelevant, that simply was no longer true. The redhead sighed and passed a hand through her hair. The others could pretend this... Rebel force was simply a fly to swat at, an annoyance at best, Kassandra was not of that opinion. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. There were many instances in history where public dissent had caused overthrows of their empires. And this was not really any different... "I am returning home, Officer. Please arrange an escort." Kassandra told the COP standing at the entrance to her office. The officer nodded soundlessly, and she knew it would be done. |

Skye leaned against a wall a good twenty yards away from Jax. She had a transceiver in her ear, "We have confirmation of the rebel base. I repeat we have confirmation of the rebel base. All units standby for coordinates," was what she heard. She didn't wait to hear the rest of the transmission. She knew what was coming up now. "Hey Jax. I'd say our man is dead alright. They've got the coordinates to the base which means they would have killed him directly after. So we should probably get a move on," she called standing up to her full height and walking over. She pulled a cigarette from her pocket and lit it up. "I don't know how long we have but I don't believe we have long. If they organize quick enough we might have maybe an hour at best," she said between taking a puff. She turned and looked towards what was supposedly the sky. It wasn't nearly what it should be. But it was better than nothing. She thought of the tests she'd undergone during her time with "The Board." She cringed a little from the memory. |

Before Kassandra would have left, a highly deteriorated officer emerged from one of the doors and bowed before her. "Vice President Fields, I believe you read up on the recent report about the discovery of the recent base of operations for the Resistance forces? If so, then there is not much I need to alert you about. Knowing how the Resistance forces have been moving around lately, we have determined their most highly probable location of their new base... and we are planning a course of action now as we speak, Vice President. As for the main force, they will be arriving with in the hour." - Several moment earlier. High above in the sky, where rain poured down to the districts below, six heavily armored hovercopters flew over the City. Led by a Chief Superintendent of the COPS. He was receiving orders from the Commissioner "We have located the Resistance forces' recent hideout, we have already sent you the coordinates. Chief." The Chief Superintendent responded out of turn with curiosity in his voice. "What if the Resistance forces move away then." "We have already predicted their most probable next course of action, and deployed a group of Rassalhague to intervene with an ambush... -This- time, the Resistance will fall." "Rassalhague. Are you sure about this Commissioner?" responded the Chief. "Are you questioning our decisions. I said we are deploying the Rasselhague. Do you have a problem with that, Chief Superintendent?" snapped the Commissioner "No, I am just considering the fact that maybe the Rasselhague are too much for mere reb-" "These are no mere rebels, Chief. They have been literally -pissing- on us for the past few years, from previous acquired knowledge we have learned that they have renegade agents among their ranks... And the Rasselhague are the only forces we can spare to that location right now." "You know, Commissioner. Someone is going to have to clean up all that bloody mess those fucking machines are going to make right?" "Let the rain wash up the blood, I am sure that no one will notice." - The rain danced onto the an abandoned facility, perfect for a rebel hideout, suddenly loud clanks slammed against the ceiling of the forgotten building. And red glowing light bulbs literally slid through air as grey silhouette figures danced with the rain, And from the shadows emerged a golden variant of these machines, the Rassalhague Combine had arrived to their designated region. And like cold machines, they waited for their prey patiently. Edited by Virgil, May 8 2011, 12:14 AM.

"We've been found." "What" Jake said after he had eared that. He and his brother where in a old abandoned building. The area and building where abandoned for so looked the inside looked like a forest. Jake decided it was better to live there with his brother instead of at the rebel base. As he looks he sees his brother going towards him with a few dead animals in his hand. "I've got lunch here, start lighting the fire." He said as he grabs a knife to take what food he could from the small animals. "No time, we have to go." Jake replied as he grabs David and starts taking him with him into a sewer. From there he had a direct access to a street near the rebel base. As they keep traveling they can hear the life on the top, many poverty on one side and a luxurious life on the other. When they get to the street, Jake take the cover of the sewer and he look around. That when he sees the Rassalhague Combine. "Great." He said coming down to the sewer and to near his brother. "We have to find a way to distract those guys." That when he got an idea. "David hear me out" He said as he look at hid brother. "I've been working with the rebels for a long time. I need you to grab a few things from there while I distract the robots, you got it? I need you to grab a few boxes full of documents. That vital." He said as he starts climbing the stairs that lead to the street. "Wait, what are those things." David asks as he sees his brother climbing. He know Jake work for the rebels but didn't bother a lot about it. Before he ears anything else he sees something falling. He grabs it and its Jake sword. "Don't worry, use that 100 feet ahead of you and take out the boxes, hurry." Jake only had its shield. He grabs a rock and trows it at the robots starting to run immediately after. A few of them start following Jake and the rest stay where they are. As for David he gets to the place and uses the sword to open a hole in the floor and enter the rebel base. (Once I get what those robots are I'll keep this.) |

Kassandra listened to the officer speak, a faint smile creeping onto her face before she quickly hid her emotions again. "Good work, officer. Seems all the time and effort you are putting into this task is finally paying off. Contact me when you have a body count and records. If any have families, be sure they are interrogated." She didn't really need to say this, but she wanted to be sure this order in particular was filled out. It was more than possible, highly likely even, that this was not the sole area these rebels were working from. Her phone buzzed. Kassandra looked at the display, already aware of who it probably was. Her suspicions were confirmed. "If you'll excuse me, officer, I must return home. I expect situation updates every half hour." With that, Kassandra left her office. Jax had left already. Some people were with her, but others were still inside, collecting information, when the... What the Hell are those things, Venia? Unsure origin. 94% Chance of enmity. A slight pause, then Venia added: Motion and heat sensors detected. DNA tracking a high possibility. Maximum alert. Preparing fight specifications. Already Jax felt an adrenaline surge. She knew from experience that she didn't have much to fear, unless those things started pulling out heavy artillery. She was more worried about the others in the building... Not to mention they would probably start scanning the heat signatures from the surrounding area as well. This was bad... There is the possibility of using the emergency pl- That plan is an emergency plan for a reason. She would wait. The young man waited boredly in a black leather seat. Man, his sister could take a long time to return home... Not that he could blame her. Being on the Board sure wouldn't be a picnic. So much scheming... Sylver wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole. Good thing he didn't have to. With a sudden flourish of movement, he added another black stroke to the canvas in front of him. Traditional painting helped him think. And he had a lot to tell Kassy. |

The Commissioner, simply nodded after Kassandra left her office. Adam left the office, but he was confronted by an officer as he left. The lowly Superintendent spoke without in some way, disregarding or blaming the Commissioner in anyway. "Commissioner... We have a slight issue." The Commissioner, while wearing a mask and helmet. Already started narrowing his eyebrows in dissatisfaction. "What is this... -issue-." "I believe we gave the Chief the wrong coordinates..." quaked the Superintendent in fear, Adam started venting badly upon hearing the word 'wrong' when referring to an issue. "What do you mean... -wrong-... coordinates?" "By that, I mean. We sent them halfway across the City, in the OPPOSITE directio-!" the Commissioner pulled out his revolver and shot the Superintendent in the face, killing him almost instantaneously. The Commissioner rubbed the ridge-plate of his gas-mask and let out a loud groan. "Idiots, complete... utter IDIOTS!" he pointed to another officer in the area. "You! Get me a direct comm-link to the Chief Superintendent, tell him we had a mistranslation and he is heading towards the outskirts. Not the Warehouse region." The officer quaked similarly, saluting. "Uh... SIR YES SIR!" the other Superintendent ran down the hallway to the communications room... - A moment earlier. The Rassalhague machines slowly inspected the abandoned facility which would have been the new rebel base as soon as they relocated. The higher, more superior one sat on top what appeared to be a silver throne made out of cans. But collapsed shortly after with the golden Rassalhague getting literally dumped by a shitload of cans. The other Rassalhague simply chuckled in a mechanically inhuman tone, before returning to inspection. Suddenly, a little meat-bag came out of nowhere and threw a rock at the superior Rassalhague's head as it got back up from the pile of cans. Several other machines quickly turned to see the source of the throw and saw the little puny meat-bag run like a coward. The superior rubbed its robotic head and ordered a few of them to chase after the human. Which they did. Towering at around eleven feet tall, they made short work of the six foot tall garage door in front of them, chasing after Jake. The other Rassalhague simply shrugged the meat-bag off and went back to inspecting the warehouse. And setting up a trap as they go along... |

Skye had gone back listening to the air waves. She had caught the part about the misdirection which made her sigh with relief. She had also gone with Jax and blended into the shadows upon arrival at the place. She wanted the taste of battle but knew she'd get it soon enough. It was almost as common as day and night in this dump. She saw Jax a short ways away and noticed she seemed a bit off. "Hey Jax. What seems to be the problem?" Skye asked from the shadows. "Is it the machines again?" Skye had thought she sensed something a bit odd. "Well if we can dispatch them then we can get a move on. They gave the wrong coordinates so we have a bit of extra time. But not a whole lot." Skye disappeared after those last words to go and scout out a possible escape route. She remembered a tunnel was somewhere nearby but getting to it with so many people to move would be difficult with the machines. She leaned up against a wall just around the corner from the building. She peeked her head around and glimpsed the Rassalhague. Shit. That's just what we needed. Jax won't like this, she thought as she snuck back in to inform Jax of the information. |

Fortunately there weren't a lot of people in the building. But there were enough that had already relocated. This place was going to become a slaughterhouse. The people here only had a few weapons, not nearly enough to defend the warehouse. "Skye, get those people moving!" She hissed, even though Skye couldn't hear her. Jax pulled out her communicator, immediately connecting her to someone at the former base. "Evacuate to Delta base now!" It always paid off to have more than one place to go to. The Delta base was not ideal, but it was all they had. It would be impossible for them to use this base now. "What kept you?" Sylver asked impatiently as Kassy entered the opulent home. "Rebellion, brother dear. Not that you'd care any about it." She answered. She checked her phone, but curiously enough, there was no new report. Perhaps they were busy. Kassy shrugged to no one and set her phone down. Her brother noticed the action. "Might I assume there's a raid going on, Kassy?" He asked nonchalantly, as if this was a perfectly normal conversation. "Assume what you'd like." She answered as she poured herself some liqueur, a sort of Cream variant. She sat on the loveseat beside Sylver and quickly asked something in a whisper. "He's... Not well." Was Sylver's quick answer. |

"We're gonna need to find a way to distract those machines. Otherwise it's gonna be a tad bit difficult getting these people to the tunnel," Skye said after she'd got back and finished explaining about the machines. She knew it was almost suicide to fight a Rassalhague and she also knew these people probably couldn't handle them efficiently right now. They all seemed tired and a bit worn out. A soldier came up to her to ask a question, "Ma'am we're almost ready for evac. The soldiers are getting antsy. So what's the plan?" Skye thought for a moment. She had an idea but it was incredibly risky. "I need some of you to act as scapegoats while we get the rest to the tunnels. Do not engage the machines at all costs. You only need to stay alive and buy us some time. When we're completely ready I'll contact you so be in position and ready to jump into immediate action. You'll need to make sure you lose them before taking the tunnels. If you can't do that then just let them kill you. We can't afford to lose more soldiers. You understand?" she asked. The soldier nodded and walked away gathering three other soldiers and briefing them on their task. They all four snuck out and headed towards the side of the building waiting for the comlink double beep that meant to start the mission. The soldier who had been given the original task was seeming like he was preparing for the worst. "I hope this works. Everyone almost ready?" Skye asked aiming the question at Jax. |

The Chief Superintendent answered the transmission from the Superintendent. "Yes, Command. I've got you loud in clear over." the Superintendent was trembling in fear, a thing unusual for a COP. "Dispatch force... uh... we have made a mis...calculation... It appears we have sent you in the opposite direction of the location provided." The Chief facepalmed almost instantaneously. "...Alright, give me the proper location coordinates. We are turning around over." - Two of the Rassalhague discovered a small group of rebel troops in one of the rooms that were unfortunate enough to still be preparing to leave. Practically unequipped to face the towering eleven foot machines. Even if it was only two of the seventeen that were dispatched to the warehouse. They quickly dispatched the meatbags, painting the entire room with their blood. The group had no chance against even one of those machines. Even if they managed to reach their weapons in time. The head Rassalhague entered the room and examined their bodies. Discovering a communicator on one of them, it slid it into its hidden compartment and left the room with the other Rassalhague to continue searching the warehouse. |

Jax heard the carnage right after she gave the order to evacuate. "Shit! They're on you! Get out of there!" 17% Chance of survival. Recommend Plan Phosphor. Not yet... Some people at the very least had to escape. Kassy was getting annoyed. The lack of a report confirmed that something had already gone wrong. Worst case scenario, there was a massive firefight going on and her forces were being decimated. "Something going wrong?" "I have no f***ing clue." |

"What the hell was that?!" Skye thought her head turning towards the sound a few rooms away. She hadn't expected the machines to get inside without notice but she knew she had to move fast and get the others to safety. She clicked her communicator on and contacted the soldier on the outside. "Mission Go! Now!" she said and then briskly walked towards the back door trying to keep her calm. She turned and motioned for everyone to get a move on. She didn't wait for a response. She ran out the door moving between the shadows cast by the surrounding area. She reached the tunnel with little difficulty and jumped down freefalling to the floor below. She landed with ease and looked up staring for a moment at the sky above. She looked away as if in pain and ran down the tunnel. She hoped everyone would do the same but it wouldn't be easy. The soldier had caught the communication but it sounded to him like it was now more dire than ever before. He looked at his fellow soldiers and ran out shooting at the air trying to catch attention before running down an alleyway. He didn't look back and neither did the soldiers behind him. They knew they were dead the minute they got the assignment. So no use staring death in the face. |

"Great. Now what?" Jake said to himself as he run away from the robots. He turn on the end of the street to the old region of the city. The reason why Jake normally use the sewer to get there was because most of the building collapsed making the place dangerous because of further falls and a lot of sharp things. There where also a lot off tiny spaces that Jake know the Rassalhague wouldn't fit and his parkour skills would give him the advantage. That would slow them down a bit. Jake run through chunks of houses, dinners, malls and every type of building possible trying to escape. ---\\--- "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" David eared in a room not to far from him, with was followed by who ever said that being kill. David wasn't a fighter, he didn't even know how to use the sword and it wouldn't take to long for the Rassalhague to find out he was there. He said a pray not to loud, grab a few papers with seem important and fall to the sewer. He then start running to his house. That when he had an idea to distract the Rassalhague. By cutting one of the pillars on the sewer the structure started to create small earthquakes and half a minute after David had start running again the pressure from the building above fall all to the sewer blocking the passage. Luckily for David and Jake that wasn't there only passage from the sewers to that place. After he got home he found some kind of communicator and tried to use it. "Hi ... can anyone hear me? Please I need some help." (Jak or Star, that was for the rebels, so its for one of you.) |

Skye caught the communication. "Switching to a secure channel" she said and clicked a switch on the device. "Okay. What's your location? And what's the situation," she spoke into the mic as she walked. She turned down an access tunnel only to find it was caved in. "Well this sucks," she thought. She turned and walked back towards the main tunnel and waited for the group and a response from the person on the other end of the communicator. He sounded frantic and scared. But she couldn't do much for right now. She would have enough trouble if Jax wasn't able to get here. Not to mention if the Rassalhagues got in here. She was at home in here but she didn't think a close quarters fight would be very beneficial for her or anyone else. |
