Alright, this is my first RP in a long time but I put a lot of effort into this, as you can see in my blog posts(Could change though), and I'm hoping this could be a big RP. Putting rules and sign-up sheets in spoiler tags. Please keep note this RP may get off to a slow start for about two weeks which will be around when school is over for me. Sorry. ;p --------------------------------------------- Rules Sign-up sheet Map of Salmia Blog contains dictionary about important details and term you'll face in the RP as well as few other basics. Strongly suggested to read it. --------------------------------------------------- On the planet of Salmia, veons have strengthened humans and allowed the most amazing spells be performed, although only the rare and experienced can take advantage of these veons, the elementary particles needed for the veonic spells. Veons are always flown everywhere although the human eye cannot see them. Thousands, millions of particles are always around you, basically flowing with air. When a person casts a veonic spell, they manipulate the veons around them and turn it to that element or can release their own veons so they can use veonic spells in different environments(A certain environment can be a 'hot spot' for certain veons(Veonic Fields). An example would be a volcano would have more fire veons that the veonic caster can take advantage of or a snowy mountain would have more water veons). Depending on the element, there can be a variety of different ways on how to use the veons. They are six elements of veons. Fire, water, wind, ground, electricity, and light. There's also healing veons, which it's even rarer for a person to use as it's rare to see one born with an ability to use healing veons. Veonic casters can combine take advantage of the different types of veons to make the most brutal of veonic spells. However, a seventh type of veon has been discovered, and it was not made naturally. The darkness veon. The creator of the darkness veon is known as Stella Menolly, the only known person to have mastered all the elements of veons, and did so at a very young age, mastering them at age fourteen. Stella Menolly was always experimenting with her powers, believing she could grow more powerful, but one day, when she was seventeen, something went terribly wrong. One of her experiments went awry and it mutated the veons in the area, as well as mutating her light veons. It created a giant blast that destroyed her home and killed her parents, depressing her greatly. The blast created a crater where her home stood and Stella notices a strange type of veon flowing in the air, the remains of the veons of the blast. Stella also realized something's different about her own veons and discovers her light veons have mutated, as well as her skin has became much paler. The spells of her new veons are colored black and can make objects disappear and it doesn't take long to realize that the mutated veons caused her home and parents to completely disappear. Stella became desperate to bring back her parents. She wondered if it's possible to reverse the effects of the darkness veons, perhaps bringing back things that has disappeared. One day, she discovered an ancient technique where she can talk to the souls of the dead, known as 'Soulchaining.' She combines this technique as well as with one of her experiments made to reverse the effects of the darkness veons and managed to bring back her parents... but not the way she expected. She only brought back ghosts of her parents, Noir and Nu Menolly, where they have no thoughts, no emotions and all they do is obey the one who summoned them. They are not the parents that Stella once loved. They're just ghosts. To make things worst, the nation, Malkia, has heard of the blast and how she been studying soulchaining and sent the army to capture Stella. Stella, angry, tells the army to go away as she declares she is the only person who can use the darkness veon and proves it by making a nearby tree disappear. The Malkian Army refuses though and Stella orders the ghosts of her parents to kill them all. They nodded their heads and made random weapons of darkness veons appear in their hands as they slaughter the closest soldiers. Stella discovers the ghosts aren't invincible though as after getting hit by a few veonic spells, the ghosts disappeared as more soldiers surrounded her. Stella screamed and created another giant blast of darkness veons around her, killing most of the army. The survivors awaken to find a crater where Stella and most the soldiers were and they all have disappeared, including Stella. Stella wasn't seen after the blast. Many believe, frustrated that she couldn't bring back her true parents, committed suicide by killing herself with the darkness veons and took most of the army with her. However, this theory was put to rest when a mysterious woman attacked a Veonic Academy, a school where people with the potential to become a veonic caster train to be one, in Malkia four years after Stella's disappearance. A mysterious woman with two ghosts have reported to attack an academy, killed the guards and teachers, and captured a couple students. Everybody concludes Stella has returned. The attack became known as Stella's Raid. Nobody knows what happened to the students. However, one of the students known as Madelyn Lolly escapes from Stella and manages to find safety in the Malkian capital, Lowellia. She tells Malkia that the students had their veon mutated similar to Stella's and that she too can use the darkness veon. However, when the army went to search for the base that Madelyn described, the base was completely abandoned with no new info to go on. However, Malkia realized that Madelyn could be the only one, seeing she's the only possible person they have that can use the darkness veon, who can stop Stella if she attacks again. Malkia wants Madelyn held in the capital where she is protected from Stella and for her to go through training to make her stronger but Madelyn refuses. Malkian officials notice she's more cold and crueler then she was before Stella's Raid, wondering if the darkness veons changed her personality as well. Malkia refuses to let Madelyn go anywhere though but Madelyn escapes from Lowellia and the nation of Malkia to the nation of Xellia-Lanvolvear where she hopes Malkia won't find her and use her as a weapon against Stella... (Prologue. Don't have to read as I'll probably re-explain it as the RP goes on anyway). ---------------------------------------------------------- It was cloudy, rain starting to pour above her. Madelyn Lolly is exhausted. She has just fled from the nation of Malkia who are probably looking for her now. She stole a small boat and is using her wind veons to power it across the Breezefall Ocean, making a few stops at islands along the way to eat, drink, and rest. The waves are starting to get fierce, with some splashing Madelyn. All they're planning to do is use me as a weapon against Stella, Madelyn thought. Maybe I'll be safe here... Madelyn never wanted this life. She simply grew up, wanting to be a veonic caster but Stella's Raid changed everything, giving her a life she never wanted. They want to use Madelyn as a weapon against Stella and maybe eventually against Xellia-Lanvolvear, which both nations have high tensions with each other. Madelyn doesn't want that. She could be held as a weapon forever. She needs to escape. No, she needs to find Stella. And kill her. That way, once Stella is dead, Malkia will have no reason to look for Madelyn and even though they might want her powers, they can't hold her captive just to use her against the rival nation. After three days of sailing across the Breezefall Ocean, Madelyn can finally see a beach, despite the fog and rain. It has to be Xellia-Lanvolvear. Madelyn knows it takes three days to reach the nation from Malkia. It can't be a big island. Madelyn however is exhausted from the entire trip though, despite the fact she made a few stops to rest and replenish her energy. She has been using wind veons nonstop to sail across the ocean after all. She was so exhausted that she didn't even stop properly. Her boat slammed into the beach and sent her flying forward, painfully trying to get up. "Madelyn Lolly." Madelyn looked up, panting a bit and saw a tall but thin man completely covered in black armor, carrying a small sword in his right hand. The man is wearing a horned helmet, with two brown horns each being wider then his head. Madelyn can't see his eyes as the black helmet completely covers his face, with only holes the size of coin slots allowing him to see. The rest of his body is covered black armor, outlined by yellow. Underneath the armor is black chain mail. The horns gave the soldier a scary presence, along with his dark blue cape flowing in the wind behind him. The scenery around them only makes it worst because of the fog and rain, making Madelyn think this is some nightmare. "Did you honestly think that fleeing to a rival nation will instantly mean freedom from Malkia?" the man asked, voice sounding rough and slightly demonic. Madelyn eyes widened. Are they going to send me back? After all that?!? Madelyn refuses to be sent back after all the effort she did to cross the ocean, especially not by a weirdo in armor in front of her. If only she isn't so exhausted. I can make this bastard disappear in an instant. "You stole a boat from us. A few people on the islands you stopped on reported seeing you. It was obvious you were heading towards Xellia-Lanvolvear. They allowed me to come over here and search for you and I knew you would arrive somewhere around here," he said. "Malkia doesn't want you roaming on your own. Stella may just capture you again and seeing you're the only one who can use the darkness veon, you may be the only one to stop her. You're too valuable to leave alone." "Liar. Malkia will just use me as a weapon against Stella and I'll be stuck in Lowellia for maybe the rest of my life. I don't want a life like that." This made the armored man laugh like a madman, creeping Madelyn out. "I don't think that will happen. Duke Percival is too stupid and nice to do that. But anyway, that doesn't matter. I'm not here to send you back." "What?" she reacted, trying to get up as he moves closer but she's so exhausted that she can't even do that, simply stuck as he knees and hands are buried in the sand. "You must be suffering from all this. I want to end your suffering." The knight then raised his sword. Madelyn then tried to get up and flee but is still too exhausted to move. She overdid it by sailing across the ocean. "Goodbye, Madelyn Lolly." Madelyn then shut her eyes, telling herself to move. I don't want to die at the hands of this loser! she thought. Then something amazing happened. She heard the sounds of a swords clashing with each other and saw another man in front of her. He has bright blond hair, wet from the rain, and Madelyn saw him turn and saw his blue eyes. "Are you alright?" he asked, staring at her while blocking the armored knight's attack with his white rapier. The golden hilt is shining, sticking out in the fog. Madelyn nodded and examined the man. He's wearing a long white jacket, with a silhouette of a heart being nearly cracked in half with a sword stabbing through it diagonally on the back of the jacket. The sleeves are also rolled up slightly past his elbows, just on his forearm and onto his tight long black fingerless gloves which have ocean blue spheres on the top side of his hands. Under the jacket, he's wearing a white buttoned vest with golden outlines and a black t-shirt underneath. His pants are white although on his left pant leg is a yellow flame design that fades near his knee. Madelyn finds his wooden sandles weird. He doesn't see much people wear that anymore. "Tch." The armored man jumped back, a bit surprised by the man protecting Madelyn. "Leave now. Return to Malkia and leave her alone," he warned. "I can't do that. Just who are you? What's going on doesn't involve you," the armored man replied, slightly annoyed. "My name is Fenris Alastaire," the man said. Suddenly, a blast of lightning fired from his rapier and hit the ground beside the armored man, creating a small explosion. An electric veonic spell. "It doesn't matter if I'm not involved. I'm not letting an innocent girl get killed by you." Edited by Fenroar, Jun 1 2011, 10:33 AM.

Sandopolis Act 2
|
The wind blew ominously past a man with a brass mask covering half his face, watching the altercation from afar. Wait. That's the girl that the Malkians posted the bounty on... Wait a second! That's the girl he mentioned! Dammit. Hopefully I can find some other bounty to get through the next week... I'm just about broke. The wind fluttered the black cloak he wore as he started heading down the hillock he stood upon, walking towards where the knights were poised to do battle. He'd hang back for a few minutes, and if it didn't end quickly or favorably, he would intervene. |

((Heh, I noticed you put the link to the RP in your sig. You didn't need to go that far but thanks! Anyway, I'll just go on with the battle and then wait a while till other people join[But remember that school days will slow progress down but there's two weeks left so hopefully it won't last]. )) _____________________________ "Don't get too ahead of yourself," the soldier warned, as he got into a fighting stance. His sword suddenly erupted in flames as Fenris only watched, not scared. Madelyn found the scene creepy. Filled with fog, a horned armored man stands there with a sword of fire. "You never told me your name, horned man," Fenris said. The general only smirked. "I am general Jesh Lerragon," he replied. "Was sent by Duke Percival to capture her." "But you were going to kill her. Why disobey Duke's orders?" "Yes, Duke wanted her alive and protected within Lowellia. I'll tell you that. Defeat me and I'll tell you why!" he shouted. He swung his fiery sword and waves of flames flew right at Fenris and Madelyn. Fenris grabbed Madelyn and placed her farther away from him on the beach, near a cave. "Stay here. You're too exhausted to get involved," Fenris told her before taking off again. "Alright, General Larragon, let's finish this quick." General Larragon simply fired more waves of fire at Fenris but he dodged them easily. In fact, Fenris is using his wind veons to float himself out of the way, with his arms crossed and his rapier sheathed in its case. "Grah!" Larragon shouted. "Dragon of Hell, rise!" Larragon then held his sword high up in the air, pointing up, and the flames of his sword formed into a giant dragon head that launched itself at Fenris. Fenris simply held his hands out in front of him. "Wolf Twister," he muttered. A blast of wind bursts from Fenris's hands and all the fog gathered into a wolf's face and hurled itself at the fiery dragon head, completely blowing it into remnants of small ember. The fog disappeared although everybody is still unaware of the newcomer that has just arrived. The failed attack only made Larragon angrier. "No!" Larragon shouted, although he quickly regained his cool. "Heh, it seems like the tales I heard about you really are true, elite knight Fenris Alastaire." Suddenly, the horns on Larragon's helmet errupted in flames as well, similar to his sword, and then a second later so did his cape. Then, the flames of his sword grew bigger, nearly as big as Larragon himself. "Oh darn, I may have to actually move now," Fenris teased, smiling. He yawned and took out his rapier again. Suddenly though, the ground below Fenris cracked and shattered and flames, surprising Fenris, as flames gushed out and engulfed him. "Don't underestimate me, boy." Madelyn couldn't help but watch as Larragon laughed. There's no way he could have been defeated that easily. And she was right. The flames dispersed into tiny embers as Fenris blew them all away with his wind veons. Fenris however then saw dozens of fireballs fly straight toward him, causing Fenris to move and once again dodge but not as easily as the previous attacks. "Haha! Having trouble?" Larragon shouted, gloating. Suddenly, pieces of ground ripped out nearby and bursts into flames as they launch once again at Fenris. Fenris realized he fused his fire veons with the ground veons nearby. However, one of the meteors hit Fenris and explodes in his face, sending him flying a distance away into the water. This made General Larragon simply laugh even more. "Ahahaha! That was just too fun!" he declared, immediately refocusing on Madelyn with a huge grin on his face. Madelyn is able to stand and she tries to run away but only falls again. "Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" she repeated, desperate to get away as she can feel the heat of the flames get warmer as Larragon approaches. "Now that intrusion is out of the way..." "Veonic field of water. Lend me your water veons and fuse with my electric veons. Electric wolf waves!" Suddenly, Fenris is seen walking out of the water as balls of water floated and reformed into wolf heads, emitting electric shocks. "Did you really think your fire veons could defeat me near a beach of all places?" he asked. Fenris looks slightly hurt from the blast but appears to only have minor injuries. "Devour him." Dozens of wolf heads made of water then lunged themselves at them. Some only weakened the flames and boiled away into steam but more just kept coming and soon, General Jesh Larragon's flames were extinguished, weak from the electrical blasts as he lies panting on the floor. Fenris picks him up using wind veons and pins him painfully against the side of a cliff hanging out to sea. "Now tell me why." Larragon groaned but spoke. "I suggested to Duke to use her as a weapon, against Stella and this damn nation, who's been framing us for the attacks and probably doing the same attacks on us! Duke however refused and simply told me to capture her so she can be protected from things like Stella. I was angry that the idiot Duke refused to use her as a weapon and simply wants to protect her from Stella so I decided I'm going to kill her to make Duke angry, for passing up on a good opportun-AH" Fenris pushed Larragon deeper into the wall with his wind veons, cracking the wall and making Larragon cry out in pain. "That's it?!? Duke didn't like your twisted plan and you wanted to kill her just to piss him off? To spite him?" Fenris then used his wind veons to launch Larragon off into the sea, a distance away from the shore, as the armor slowly sunk Larragon to the bottom. Fenris then turned to Madelyn and sighs a breath of relief. "Whew," he said. "Are you alright?" |

Sandopolis Act 2
|
The masked man started heading down towards the beach once it was certain the demonically-armored man was done for. He approached, slowly clapping. "Well, well. You're that knight, Alastaire, aren't you? I had heard, but I thought a lot of it was fake. Nice to finally catch a rumor with some meat on it. That said, what was that all about, anyway? If you'll forgive me butting in to what's obviously not my business." He straightened somewhat, leaning backwards slightly. "I just happened by, and saw you having it out with that Malkian knight, and I just want to be sure that you're all fine," he offered in explanation. |

((Agh. Chaos needs to hurry and send his entry. D= )) Duke Percival was just trying to protect me? Madelyn thought. That guy's a freak. But it doesn't seem like he was lying. She then watched Fenris chunk him into the sea where his armor drowned him. She nodded to Fenris's question. And this man. He must be one of the elite knights of Xellia-Lanvolvear. But is it really okay with him, being a knight and all, to kill him like that? A general from another nation which Malkia is already angry enough from Xellia-Lanvolvear? Before Madelyn could ask anything though, another person has arrived. Fenris simply looked at the man, having his hand gripped on the rapier which is safely sheathed in its case. "That Malkian knight tried to attack her. I protected her by chucking the man into the ocean. Nothing more. It's nice to know I'm getting famous though." Fenris then picked Madelyn up, surprising her, as he started walking away. "We're both fine by the way. Thanks for your concern. I should handle the rest from here." However, Fenris sensed another presence approach yet again. However, Fenris didn't sense it till the person put his sword near his neck, surprising Fenris as he can usually sense people long before they get the opportunity to get this close to him, let alone a stranger stealthily putting a sword near his neck. "Sir, you are hereby under arrest by the Malkian army for the murder of General Jesh Larragan," said a familiar voice, shocking Fenris even more. "Don't even think about using any of your veonic spells either. Other Malkian troops nearby are all on their way here." Fenris turned around and the mysterious stranger who immediately gasped and seemed surprised after seeing the identity of the man he just now captured. Strangely, for a Malkian knight, his clothes seem rather unusual and so does the black area at the bottom of his eyes. Madelyn can't help but be annoyed by how Fenris got captured as a couple Malkian troops in dark purple and white armor, the colors of Malkia, quickly arrived and surrounded them, including the masked man which the soldiers must have assumed he's involved in the mess as well. "Way to go," she muttered. She escaped from Fenris's arms and landed beside him but she's still too tired to make any attempts to escape. They're captured. Fenris however ignored her. "You..." "Hi, Luneth. It been a while," he replied. Luneth is still shocked. He had no idea the man he just held hostage is his best friend from his days in the veonic academy, Fenris Alastaire. "Sir Adenade, do you know him?" a Malkian troop asked. Luneth hesitated for a moment before saying yes. Luneth took his his sword, a normal but shining white blade with a black hilt that has a white jewel in the center, away and put it in its case that's strapped onto his back. "Hmm. I see. Well, you must tell me how sometime soon. Anyway, Duke Percival said to take them all to the castle in Grand Faltria where he and King Lawliet VI is waiting," the soldier reacted. Soldiers then grabbed all of them, including the masked man, regardless if he was involved or not. |

Sandopolis Act 2

(OOC: Just so you know, No Data (lilfate) sent you his entry, and wants you to get back to him pretty soon. Also, if you don't mind, I'd like to get your MSN, for future ease of contact.) The masked man was tempted to grab one of the short, heavy blades he carried beneath his cloak, but he went along with his only resistance being verbal. "Tch. Hands off. Not gonna try anything funny," he said, raising his hands, palms up. Under his breath, he added, "As much as I want to, jerkass..." That said, he knew a potential diplomatic disaster when he saw one on the horizon. So long as he offered no resistance, the odds of his own survival were workable. |

((Huh. I just noticed his email. Strange how it didn't give me the usual pop-up. Anyway, I replied to it and I'm gonna wait a bit after this post, to see what other people will join before pushing on)). "You idiot!" Madelyn yelled. Fenris was sighing, not even trying to fight back against Madelyn's anger. "You go and act like some sort of hero but then you get us captured!" The soldiers have thrown Fenris, Madelyn, and the masked man into the back of an armored van with tinted windows and a wall separating them from the driver with a tinted window on it as well, although the trio can't see out of it, the driver can and can monitor them if they're plotting anything. They are two, surprisingly comfortable benches on the inside although they tied their hands together with special modified handcuffs. These handcuffs are golden with a golden chain, slightly bigger so they're almost like bracelets, and temporarily prevent veonic casters from releasing veons. The van doesn't have enough veons to around to use anyway to break free either. "I'm sorry," Fenris said, kind of scared and hoping she would stop. He's wondering about Luneth, who haven't talked to each other since the soldiers carried him off, but right now he needs to ask Madelyn herself something "Anyway, stop yelling at me. We haven't even properly introduced ourselves. My name is Fenris Alastaire. And what is yours, pretty lady?" Madelyn simply smirked at his last comment and introduced herself. "My name is Madelyn Lolly." "Nice to meet you, Madelyn. That's a beautiful name," Fenris replied. "Anyway, seeing I saved your neck, care to tell me the whole story of how you arrived to Xellia-Lanvolvear all exhausted and stuff with that general guy nearly killing you?" Madelyn sighed, getting slightly annoyed by Fenris's complements but explained anyway. After all, he did save her. Madelyn told Fenris how she was captured during Stella's Raid and had her light veons replaced by darkness veons, although she says she lost all memories of during that moment. She told how she escaped and fled to the capital of Lowellia but flees yet again to Xellia-Lanvolvear because she thinks Duke Percival will hold her forever as a weapon. "But that general said..." "I know," she said, suddenly feeling embarrassed she misunderstood everything if what he said is true. "But why is Duke Percival at Grand Faltria with King Flynn Lawliet VI? Aren't they supposed to hate each other?" "I'm confused by this as well, but Duke's probably not happy that I killed his general," Fenris admitted. Suddenly, he remembers the masked man, how they been leaving him out of the conversation. "Oh. Sorry. I forgot you were here," Fenris said as the driver notifies them they'll soon arrive at Grand Faltria. "What's your name? And sorry for dragging you into this mess. You were only at the scene to ask what was going on." |

"My name is Taylor Hiss. I'm a bounty hunter, by trade," the half-masked man introduced himself. "Which, if either of you academy-types aren't familiar with the profession, means I go around doing the kinds of jobs even criminals are hesitant to do. Then again..." Taylor tapped the mask with the tip of his finger as he spoke, "It isn't like I'm spoiled for choices. But there is one upside. I get to hear all the rumors. All of them." While the mask would make any grin of Taylor's lopsided, it looked friendlier than many whole grins. |

Chaos Emerald
|
Grand Faltria, only a few miles up ahead for this lonely traveler. If only the last part was true, then this scene that was taking place would have a bit more meaning to it. However, this wasn't the case. Fact is, this lone traveler wasn't a traveler at all. He was more of an assassin, a skilled killer that would get the mission done, no matter what it was. He was told he'd be fighting for peace, yet even he didn't believe that lie, and yet it didn't matter either way. What did matter was his mission, and at this point, his only lead was a general he had been stalking for some time now. However, a random turn of events lead him to some girl and two guys. One of these guys managed to kill his only lead by hurling him into the sea as his armor drowned him. Of course, Zife wasn't going to hang around and wait until he was captured as well. He was trained to never get caught, and to know when one approaches. Thus, Zife left, only to face the painful truth of this matter. His new lead was this young man, Fenris, who killed his only lead on completing his mission. Knowing that the trio had been caught and were on their way to Grand Faltria, Zife went on ahead of them. Turns out, Zife would be interrupted by a group of no good thugs who dropped out of their academy, raiding any and all travelers that went by. Little did they know that Zife was more skilled then they thought. As the trio headed for Grand Faltria, up ahead on the road, flashes of lighting could be seen, four to be exact. Once the armored van would reach Zife's location, they would see him standing in the center of four dead bodies. As fate would have it, Zife managed to find a way to make sure Fenris never leaves his sight. He'd have to do one of the two things. One, free Fenris to which he'd have to give some lame excuse on why he did so, to which this would only further Zife's true mission and expose himself and his hidden clan. Two, get caught himself and stick with Fenris as just some random criminal that was swept up in this matter. Option two seemed to presented itself very nicely, seeing as these thugs made it that more easy to do so. With that, Zife remained still, waiting for the armored van to reach him as she stood in the center of four bloody dead bodies. This was not how he planed to carry out his mission, however, his mission was more important than anything, no matter what it takes the mission must be completed. (Didn't know how else to throw him in, so I hope this worked) |

"..." A bounty hunter, Madelyn thought, not really sure what to think of him. And here I thought he was just a normal guy concerned about all of us, Fenris thought, not quite sure what to think either. "Well, nice to meet you, but a bounty hunter, huh?" Fenris replied. He was going to ask Taylor if that makes him a criminal as well but suddenly, the van stopped to a roaring halt, throwing Fenris onto Madelyn's lap, annoying her. Seconds later, soldiers opened the door and for a second, Fenris thought he was in more trouble. "Get off of me," Madelyn shouted, standing up as a soldier was nearby. "What's going on? We're not quite at Grand Faltria." "We found somebody who killed a group of scarred casters," a soldier replied. "We're not sure who the scarred casters are. If they're bandits who attempted to rob him then no punishment shall await on him. But for now, we're going to have to throw him in with you guys where he'll await questioning at Grand Faltria." Two soldiers then escorted Zife inside the van after placing the special handcuffs on him, sitting him beside Taylor before the van took off again, with the two soldiers staying behind to examine the group of people Zife killed. Awkward silence filled the room. Another stranger has joined them. They could have been bandits he killed. Or he might just might be a psycho. Finally, Fenris spoke. "So... who are you?" he asked as the van arrived in Grand Faltria. "And why did you them? Were they bandits?" ((Chaos's entry is coming soon so I'm gonna wait from him before doing anything else. Also, if anybody wishes to join but has trouble on how to join up with my characters, let me know)). Edited by Fenroar, May 11 2011, 12:16 PM.

"THIS guy killed the general?" Zife thought, staring at Fenris as he was seated next to Taylor. His eyes fixed on him coldly as this awkward silence fell, not much to say actually, which is the way Zife wanted it. However, he got a strange vibe from Taylor as he turned his head a bit to take a closer look at the person he was seating next to. They were similar, to a certain degree. Of course, Zife's shirt/hoody opened as it went down, exposing his chest and abs. His hood was a bit odd too, which only helped masked Zife's identity along with the mask he was wearing. "So... who are you? And why did you them? Were they bandits?" Zife fixed his eyes upon Fenris once more, letting a pause settle in as he just noticed the girl seating next to Fenris. "They're dead, whats it matter to you." Zife replied, purposely not answering who he was as he didn't give out his name. He needed to stay close to Fenris, but that doesn't mean he had to be best friends with the guy. What Zife REALLY wanted to know, was how this girl was involved. She seemed out of place. Maybe she did something and they were after her, to which her loyal brother, or cousin since they don't look related, came and saved her life. Or at least tired to until they got caught... Whatever she did though, that general was bent on killing her. This made Zife think that he might have to end up breaking these two out anyways, only to receive more information. Can't get much information from a dead guy now, and his top lead was already dead. Sitting back and watching his last and final lead die wasn't going to happen, not in Zife's book anyways. |

Sandopolis Act 2

Taylor studied Zife with the uncovered eye. It was obvious this guy was hiding something. "You got something against Scars? 'Cause if you do, realize you're sitting next to one now." He let off a frustrated breath. To Taylor, that call-out seemed to fall flat; it probably sounded pretty bad to the others, too. And anyways, the way this newcomer held himself... it was as if he had intended to be captured. A sardonic chuckle escaped his throat. "Oh. I get it." He looked back across to Madeline and Fenris. "I know what you were about to get at. And technically, the answer's 'yes.' There is the occasional time where I do have to bend, break, or otherwise subvert the law to fulfill my objectives, but I try to keep what I do aboveboard. I might be Scarred, but I'd rather present a respectable front to anyone who needs the service I provide." He shrugged noncommittally. "But if it's the other thing you're worried about, that I'm this calm in the face of potential execution? From what I heard, I think the circumstances will be in our favor on that account. The leaders of two nations, their mutual tension widely known? While I doubt their face-to-face is for peace talks, it probably means something more significant than an open war is on the horizon. But that's just my opinion. If I'm wrong, well... we all gotta die someday." He leaned his head back against the inner wall of the van. |
| Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk. | |

"So are you." Zife quickly commented after spoke about him being a Scar, however, his comment was more towards Taylor then towards the other two, almost as if he didn't want to be spreading anything about himself to anyone. Yet, making it clear to Taylor that he too was a Scar might be useful later down the road. It was very common for people to think that Zife was a regular caster, seeing as he didn't have much to show that he was a Scar. The only thing that would give this away would be the lack of eye color in Zife's iris, leaving them a gray-like silver color. There was more that followed this, like his lack of any emotions at all, plus more but those would have to reveal themselves later on. Since Taylor took the lead and continued his conversation with Fenris, Zife set his eyes to the floor, ignoring the conversation it would seem, but soaking it in as he jotted down every word in his mind. Any and all information was needed at this point, even from a stranger that seemed to just have been caught up in this mess by chance. |

((Whoops. Typo there. I meant to put the word 'kill' in Fenris's question. But I think you get it. But anyway, Chaos said I could go and push on as he's working on his character since he can join up with them anyway)). ________________________________________________ "..." The worst case scenarios. Fenris and Madelyn get paired up with two guys who both look like they're hiding something. Their personalities aren't helping much either. Fenris does wonder about Taylor's words. Does he have something against Scars? Fenris decided to stay out of it anyways, clearly Zife won't talk to them. But Madelyn didn't. "Oh for God's sake..." Madelyn reacted, annoyed by Zife's lack of answer. During the ride, she seems in much better condition then back on the beach. "Just who the hell are you?!? And you, Taylor something-" But once again, the van came to a stop, interrupting Madelyn, as soldiers opened the backdoor and informed them they are all here in Grand Faltria. As soldiers grabbed them and escorted them out, Madelyn was in awe of the city. It's so beautiful. The colors of Xellia-Lanvolvear, gold and black, decorated the houses with several shops and lively townspeople, although the cloudy skies depressed things a bit like they usually do. They were several attraction in the city however at the back of the city lies perhaps the most iconic feature the capital is known for. A humongous, very wide tower where the rich lives. People can see the mechanical tower and its elevators operating. Several hundreds of floors with giant doors leading them to their apartments which with all the rooms feels like a big normal house to live in. At the top of the tower lies the huge castle, decorated black and yellow of course, with Xellia-Lanvolvear's symbol on the banners. This place is amazing, Madelyn thought. Although the castle in Lowellia is the biggest in the world and probably looks the coolest, Madelyn never expected a castle on top of a fancy tower where the rich lives in. Madelyn, soon forgetting about Zife and Taylor, just stared as the soldiers escorted the four of them to the tower where they enter the lobby which leads to shops, lounges, and restaurants as well as a workers area for staff. After Xellia-Lanvolvear soldiers unlocked special elevators meant for officials and soldiers, looking a bit hesitant Fenris noticed, the Malkian soldiers escorted the four of them into the elevator along with one Xellia-Lanvolvear soldier who pressed a button, muttered something as he typed numbers into a different control panel that's not the usual elevator control panel(probably a password), and spoke into some communicator into the wall, asking to send the elevator to the top floor, the castle. The elevator then quickly shot up although nobody can feel any pressure of speed. "Don't look behind you if you're afraid of heights," a Malkian soldier teased. Madelyn did so, where the back of the elevator has a transparent gray wall which makes it possible to see the entire town as you go higher. Eventually, minutes later, the elevator stopped and the soldiers pushed everybody out. After walking up the steps, the group sees a beautiful flowery garden in front of them, with a shiny solid pathway down the center to lead them to the castle. In the center of the pathway was a fountain, spewing out water. Fenris however been here before, as he is a soldier of Xellia-Lanvolvear and even talked to King Lawliet VI himself. Madelyn seems new to this. "Seems nice, huh?" Madelyn however ignored him as the four of them, surrounded by a squad of Malkian soldiers with Xellia-Lanvolvear soldiers watching them, were escorted to the entrance of the castle. "Nosy little child." Zife thought, staring at the girl who wanted to know exactly who Zife was. Why was she pushing the issue as beyond the gunslinger, as well, he didn't care. She wasn't his concern. Fenris was, but again, these two could be connected to each other somehow, related even. Which means that Madelyn might become his focus as well. Either way, his name wasn't needed, nor was he going to give it any time soon. Before anyone else could reply though, the van came to a halt. Then came the walk towards the fancy elevator. Zife looked around the place, taking in as much as he can, drawing things down within his mind, and pinpointing the best places to sneak around and exist as fast as possible. His mind quickly calculated the height of varies things, how much effort it would take to move things if needed, and where would the best assassination spots be. He didn't want to think about all of this, but due to his training it was like second nature. Before he could even realize what he was thinking it was already mapped out and planned out within a few blinks of his eyes. The view of the town was impressive, nothing compared to the out-lands Zife was use to living. Everything was so neat and fashionable. He wasn't sure if he liked it, or simply wanted to rip it all to shreds. Either way, the elevator came to a halt. The only sign that gave away the suddenly stop was that the doors opened and they were being pushed out. As they were leaving, Zife took a quick look at the device that the soldier was messing around with to get the elevator moving. He pretty much knew how to use it just by looking at it, however, he wouldn't be able to figure out how to get the thing moving without the proper tools and time. Looks like a window would be his best bet if he wanted to disappear. However, he had to consider that he might not be leaving this place alone. Fenris would need to come with him above all things. Yet, he wasn't sure what Fenris's deal was to begin with. He seemed to know this place for visiting it for the first time. "Zife..." He spoke up, tilting his head a bit towards Fenris as he spoke. "Be quick to forget it... It isn't a name you want to remember." He adds, throwing in another mystery about him towards Fenris. He didn't even bother addressing his speech towards the girl, she wasn't important to him, not at the moment anyways. |
