The Raskull King!

Not sure if anyone cares about this, but I do, so I made a topic! Steve Carell ended has fulfilled his 7 year commitment to the NBC show "The Office" and his final episode just aired tonight. Currently filling in his shoes is fellow funny man Will Ferrell, but it has already been made known that Will is not a permanent fixture in the Dunder Mifflin office, and will only be on the show for 1 or 2 more episodes. Many great actors are jumping in on the guest appearance train to "interview" for the job, Including Ray Ramono, Will Arnett, Ricky Gervais(who played Carell's role in the original BBC version of "The Office" and also is a producer of the NBC version), and Jim Carey It's still under wraps who will finally take up the mantle for Regional Manager, but some of the current cast members are also rumored to be in the running. Steve has done an amazing job over the past 7 seasons (including online-only webisodes) and he will definitely be missed by fans, the cast and crew of the show have on several occasions showed their support of him as well, and it's nice to see such a talented actor leave an amazing show on good terms. Carell has expressed that he is simply leaving to pursue other forms of acting, specifically so he has more time to do films. Carell also has a family that he states he would like to spend more time with. The last seven years I have been a die hard fan of this show, and although I am sad to see him go, I still think there is plenty of comedic value left to be explored, and I also look forward to seeing what new projects Steve will be working on in the future. |

I'm devastated. He's my favorite guy on the office, and I've liked his acting in moving, too. I've always loved The Office.

Jim Carrey would be a good candidate, I think. I never payed much attention to The Office though because I heard you have to follow it from the beginning to get it. |

I was never a big fan of Office (read "I hate it",) but I hold a deep-seated respect for Carell. I wish him well in his next project. Hopefully, it'll be something I enjoy. |
![]() It's eternally tragic that that which is magic be killed at the end of the glorious chase. From young seals to great whales, from waters to wood, they will fall just like leaves in the wind. With perfumes and fur coats and trophies on walls, what a hell of a race to call men. Nihon Itsumademo! honk. HONK. honk. HONK. | |

This. Carell is a funny guy, and though I haven't seen much of The Office, it's still kinda sad that he's leaving, but I'm sure we'll be seeing him again real soon ![]() That being said, any of the guest stars Muck listed would all be great replacements, since they're all on the same level of comedy greatness, but if I had to pick one of them, it'd be Jim. |

Jim would be great for the Office, but I'd also like to tout a dark horse candidate, partly inspired by ME's theme. Jeff Bridges! |

i think if ray romano picked it up where steve carrell left off i would start watching the show again. never really was a fan of steve carrell except for his performance in anchorman. the show made him even worse of an actor than he already is being that he seemed like a jerk on the show but that was just his character. however, i could not see ray romano playing such a character thats constantly hated by his co workers. it just doesnt seem like his type of work. |
