Well I know I'm jumping on the band wagon. I'm waiting on my attorney to call me back.

You do know he's been disbarred since 2008, right? XD
Very funny Cy. But I'm being serious on this one. I'm having to watch my bank account like a freaking hawk. This just pisses me right the frack off. I usually only have to check my account once or twice a week. It's bad when I have to check it twice a DAY! Trust me:

I'm rather surprised that I haven't gotten an e-mail with all the revenue I generated for the PSP section of the Playstation Store.

For the data compromise you're supposed to.

I haven't yet. I got the one for them saying it was possible that my account had been messed with. I haven't gotten anything confirming it yet. It's still a problem with me that someone might have my information and could be using it illegally. That's what bugs me the most. Also the way you worded it sounded like you get that on a regular basis. Or it's just my tiredness kicking in... Again...

As for people having their CCs transacted on NeoGAF.... I just don't know, that place is known for the most rabid fanboys the internet has seen. Not saying it isn't happening, but I'd wait to hear it from somewhere else as I wouldn't trust any users over there.
Oh, ffs, stop being such a Sony apologist. The community's hardassed nature has absolutely nothing to do with the reports. Seriously, what kind of e-peen would some of the most ardent supporters of PSN-- the ones that actually use their credit cards on it-- have to gain by reporting that they're experiencing fraud from the network's hacking in a situation where Sony themselves admit it's actually possible cc info was stolen? Seriously; explain to me how fanboyism has a clout in these claims' legitimacy. The Xbots aren't saying it.
Nice, but incorrect. I just don't trust anything that is said over there about anything.

I still can't use this.

And my argument is that your reason for distrusting NeoGAF-- The tendency for members over there to act like fanboys-- has absolutely nothing to do with illegitimizing the claims of credit card fraud.

Because staff made me do it. =P

You do know what fanboys do, don't you? They spend time going to places posting negative things about the companies they don't like, they go to games specifically to rate them low, etc... They spend hours making false claims to discredit and negatively post about companies all the time and it's not limited to video games either.

Fanboys have no limits or morals when it comes to this kind of thing which is why I could see some people that hate Sony making fake claims to shed a more negative light on them. This is a time when Sony is vulnerable and the fanboys will be in full force making sure they do damage. There are places I just don't go due to this because reading/responding to such drivel is a waste of time.

As far as the CC fraud goes, I'm not saying it isn't happening. I'm just saying that I don't believe it is just because someone on NeoGAF says it is.

There's a difference from some 15 year old trolls going to places and making poorly-articulated rants against the companies they hate because said company doesn't manufacture a particular piece of plastic, versus multiple people who-- with their posting histories and Google being right there proving that they are indeed ardent PSN users and not simply Xbots in disguise-- claiming that they and their spouses are experiencing credit card fraud from a tangible emergency that has affected millions of people in one of the most notable security disasters ever, an emergency I keep articulating is one in which Sony has essentially admitted to the possibility that credit card fraud is real, an emergency where the government is having to come in and investigate.

And your whole counter to the reality of the current situation is that, "Well, they're all fanboys, so they obviously must be lying about the fraud just to score some e-points"? Seriously, Metallix. C'mon.

Um, wow. Seriously, Bliz? There is no counter to anything, just posting that I don't go there and I don't trust everyone. I specifically clarified that I was not denying any current situation so stop twisting or misinterpreting what I am saying.

Apologies; I'm still heated from another conversation.

Anyhoo, I don't agree with your distrustful nature of the forum keeping the fraud a mere possibility for you. There are people there who hardline themselves with consoles there, (as there are here), but the people who would be out to get Sony are not the ones even reporting this in the first place. If anything, they'd be the first people banned and several people actually were in the appropriate threads. You say you don't even go to the forum; well, I do. I've been there long enough to get a clear image of who's bullshitting and who isn't, and the situation as a whole has hardly been used as an excuse for the fanboys to come out of the woodwork.

Just switch your number and get back to what you were doing. I agree, this is a serious hassle, but as long as nothing's been stolen yet you can deal with this quickly and efficiently.

Of course, it could happen again...
i'm actually really sorry bout this

I will. But I'm still joining if it goes class-action. One I could use the money. And two this will ensure it doesn't happen again. Plus why change the number if it's still in there. This isn't as simple as changing a number. It's bad enough that it had to come to this in the first place. What pisses me off is that they didn't say anything for a week.
