Definitely. I really like the female characters. And I especially love your backgrounds. I'm more of a fractal person so I can't do basic backgrounds (Like walls and such) to save my life. I hope to see more. |

It's flattering that you asked, so thank you! I've been dying to show these off. I'm no pixeler, but I've been toying with the idea of making my own avatar website (like Gaia, Menewsha, Zantarni, Zaff Cast, Ernya, Solia, etc), so I made my own bases and started making clothes for them... They're watermarked not because they're very good, but because I'm paranoid and pathetic, so excuse the watermark.  Those are the bases, obviouslyyyyy. It's actually made in grayscale (like everything I've done so far for this project) with a gradient map over it to add color. I haven't made any other shades yet, rofl. This project has been so slow-going.  One of my first sets of items. Each one is pixeled separately so it could be equipped as the ears, armwarmers, tail or socks. I would've uploaded each individually but there's not much of a difference.  ZOMBIES because people on avatar forums go apeshit for zombies and bunnies. Seriously. That, and rainbows. Anyway, if I remember correctly, this place is full of spriters, so tell me what to improve upon? |

Oh good! A positive review! Do you think it's cute enough? People on avatar forums are all about cute things, so if the bases look like poop, people don't join (such as Jadearea).  But then people want things that are scary/spooky/whatever, which is what the zombie is for, to even out the cuteness...

Well I'd say they're cute. It would also depend on how you do the eyes. I know Gaia has tons of eyes for the bases. But you'll probably want to do them yourself. The zombie one is pretty interesting. I use a lot of these character creators for base designs on new characters. It helps visualize. This seems a lot more realistic with proportions while maintaining the cute aspect that your going for. |

Yes, I agree. Eyes are really important. I just wish I had spent more time on them so far, but unfortunately I've been mostly focusing on clothes. But here's what I've got for faces, haha:  Mind you, everything is still in grayscale and the eyes were really quickly colorized with one shade. So they can definitely have more depth and dimension in that style, I just haven't had the opportunity to fix them yet. @_@ |
