The impotent, overcast sun had just begun to kiss the stadium roof, suspended over the screaming stands by impressively carved stone pillars. The day had not brought more snow, though a brisk wind had begun to sail across the arenas, bringing the promise of a cold evening and a frigid night. The braziers were blazing once more at the edges of the arena once more, melting the ice that had formed after the conclusion of the first match. The snow layer that not outright melted now covered a layer of mired peat and gravel. The Arenas had not been attended to; Auriel decided the peculiar conditions of the arena would add a psychological factor. They were still functional, to a degree, and it wouldn't until they were properly shattered by the combatant's conditions. And so it was that the heralds led the two combatants onto the field, the audience roaring in approval. Arena Ten was a host to the most destructive of the previous matches. The outer perimeter of the arena was as yet untouched by combat because the majority of the fight was close combat, and took place in the approximate middle of the arena. What was left of the arena was criss crossed by several deep trenches gouged out of the ground, almost as deep as a short statured mobian, and lined with moist mud. While there wasn't too much blood, there was some spatter here and there, and footsteps could be seen where the trenches did not erase their existence. "I hope I needn't repeat myself, gentlesirs," the herald said smoothly. "Please assume your places on either side of the arena and we'll begin." Without further ado, the herald began his introduction. "My lords, my ladies, welcome to the second match of the tournament! We have for you today two new combatants, one of which have proved their mettle and valor. In the hither corner, I give to you a man who has performed well this far, despite not having a single victory to his name. No doubt he is keen on rectifying that soon enough. My lords and ladies, please welcome Shanui Reefthorn!" "And in the thither corner, I give to you a man who would well seek to deny Shanui his second victory, and in so doing, secure a victory for himself! My lords and ladies, please welcome Cain Rarazel!" The audience cheered, and fanfare soared as the herald bowed to the crowd above him. Turning away, he called to the combatants, "Salute your opponent, then begin!" |

Spent most of the time at the sickbay, with only a few scrap meals restoring the loss of energy. Fit for fight and ready to rumble. The announcement from the herald, as the assassin arrived out from his corner, with hands stretched out to meet the folk's roaring excitement. Of course, all they've come for is, the blood, the painful roar and bones breaking. The chilly currents, with the braziers still offering that slushy floor, making sure there's enough opportunities of sliding. Peering ahead toward his rival, knowing little but his name. Retrieved from the last field, his sword firmly in his hand, while his personal range accessory firmly in the holster. "Salute." Confirming his rival at the other side. Shanui retaining battle pose, with eyes straight forwards, yearning for vengeance, as under normal circumstances, he'd be furious for a loss. Still the terrier had it's charm, but what about this human. Surely they wouldn't just give in for killing an already extinct dinosaur. "Make your move." Confidentially using his left hand, to create a taunting flick towards him. |

Cain spent most of his time in the sickbay but as soon as he recovered he began training. He barely left his room and never bothered to look at who he was going to be fighting, all he knew was that he had to win this round. "Hm...Guess...I'll have the pleasure of damaging this place even more." Cain said nonchalantly as he removed the hood covering his face. He moved toward his side of the ring and looked at the crowd as some cheered him on and a few cheered this Shanui Reefthorn guy on. A grin spread aross his face and he rolled his shoulders some. No face blows this guy's teeth look a bit dangerous. Welp, Heree we go...If that crowd wants some blood...Then to eat your heart out! Cain said to himself as got into his battle stance before giving a faint salute. Edited by Bang, Apr 2 2011, 10:03 AM.

Remaining at a distance, there's little time to sit back and watch the scene unfold, more then it has already. Unsheathing his firearm without further consideration, pulling the trigger at a straight course toward his rival. The announcer merged out to the crowds, as the bullet was released. Surely this wouldn't be the end of it. Of course he wasn't about to use this relentless attack without no reason. Constantly eyeing ahead, not abandoning his post, as he won't make the same mistake like last time. Run and hide, isn't a favourable tactic, as it will only make things worse. At least this time around, he were allowed to anticipate his rival's entrance. Hopefully the traction beneath their feet, can immediately cause trouble to evade. |

Another gun user?, geez..What's with people and firearms? Too scared to get close, eh? Cain thought as he saw that pistol drawn. The male decided to dodge the gunfire rather than waste a boost orb or possibly two. So, he hit the deck and fired off a small Blast Palm toward his opponent before rolling his way into one of the gouged out areas. He bought himself sometime but not much. He had to be resourceful...Wait the mud...Simple trick but would it be effective? There was only one way to find out. Energy 190% Stamina 200% Edited by Bang, Apr 3 2011, 07:41 AM.

Much as his own rival, the first attack wasn't offering the least of a threat. Seen it a mile away, the assassin avoided the heat that had been transmitted towards him. Just after his own measly choice had attacked an already dead foe, "the wall." After the evasive move to his left, it's obvious he won't achieve much use firing that weapon, wasting ammo on the environment. There's no time to waste, the dinosaur immediately rushed forth, with adrenaline pushed too the max, with full focus ahead, in a worthwhile attempt using turf as an exceptional ice skating course, sliding with his feet, when within reachable distance. Or avoid any possible direct hits that'd be sent forth like a pummelling fist, or whatever would be used against him. Approximately enough speed, would suffice their distance would drastically become reduces, until both could almost breathe each other in their faces. The slide attack, wouldn't merely focus on tripping his rival over, but also use a lowly sweep with his sword, as if moving for his rival's feet to the assassin's right. That of course determines whether Cain even makes an attempt avoiding, or use this as a counter-effect. The move was way unpredictable, meaning he'd likely miss out on him, in case he'd make a run, or evade and use whatever source of tool he's having available, mashing it down. Well he managed to collect a few balls of the dirt before he noticed that the raptor had started to rush toward him. He had no time to avoid his sliding attack and was knocked off of his feet and land behind his opponent. He quickly recovered, and got onto one knee before looked for his opponent before he lost him. If he was still in his sights, The male would send much larger more destructive Blast palm toward him and If he dodged that, He'd just toss one of his mudballs to distract him before he ran away. But If that assassin wasn't in his field of vison, Cain would be forced to run away, due to his fear of a surprise assualt and with that raptor using a sword he would severly outmatched. ...Nailed him... The subtle move turned out successful, however he had no time to react, instead he was forced to cover his face from whatever stain came from his rival's shoes. In the knack of time, he needed to recover, or else the momentum of control would backfire. Seriously in case he leave from this battle, victorious or defeat, he needs a considerable bath. As these conditions are horrendous. I'm sure all the locals believes there's nothing more glorious then fighting in the dirt. Of course the human was the woman's favourite. Doubt there are many of his own kind around the stands. Roll to his left, making it back on his feet. Intense heat as if he'd wasted one more second, he'd end up being served as reptilian-stew at the next dinner. Struck with momentary panic, looking back, only to have mud thrown at his face. For a moment he was been blinded by the humans foul trickery. |

..Got him.. Irony maybe but his tactic worked and Cain managed to find some temporary cover in another gouged out area. He thought up a few plans on how to hit the guy head on though it was still dangerous as long as he had that sword. What to do, what to do? But suddenly found the solution. It was time to execute his plan but first things first he had to locate that raptor. Can was lucky enough to have the mind he did or else he would have been sitting there for a few minutes. He looked around for the animal, If he spotted him in the distance he would hop out and lead him to the braizers. And If he wasn't there? Cain would still hop out but he be more cautious and finally there was the last option of, If he found Cain's postion. In that situation Cain would use a boost orb to get out of there and hopefully in the air. Luckily Cain managed to see that his opponent was too disoriented to attack him and that when Cain launched a full frontal assualt on the raptor. From his hands he shot two blast palms at the other male and managed to strike his sides. Cain then used a boost orb to give him some speed in order to deliver a hard blow to Shanui's head. This attack seemingly knocked him out and left Cain as the winner. Cain rolled on the ground behind Shanui due to the force of his attack. He quickly got up to his feet and looked to Shanui before he looked up to the crowd and to the judges. He waited for them to confirm his win before he left out of the arena. Afterwards Cain strolled out of the arena throught the way he came. "That was interesting I guess..." He said with a noticable frown on his face "Sadly a bit too easy..." As he exited he looked back at Shanui who was still down, He stopped for a moment to consider carrying him out to the sickbay. "Nah...They have people for that don't they?" He said quietly to himself as he moved back to the holding area. Energy 135% | Stamina 180% Edited by Bang, Apr 16 2011, 05:45 AM.
