I WANT one. Probably will have to wait for my birthday though, which is in November....Crud. Seems pretty awesome though. Has some cool features. And I like how the 3D is completely optional, especially since I heard it kinda drains the already short battery life. That's my only issue with it so far -a short battery life. |

I got one, I just LOVE the street pass idea, it's nice to know who at my school has one even if it doesn't come up in conversation. The face Raiders game was kinda cool. I kinda feel like they tried really hard to release it even though the earthquake should've delayed it. I don't think I would've minded if they released it a month late due to catastrophic natural disaster. As of now, the internet browser, virtual console, and old DSi ware are disabled, plus the good games don't start showing up till may, so it's kind of a really perked-up DSi right now. The 3D aspect is amazing though, it's not hard to find the sweet spot, and it's very easy on the eyes. In respect of 3D they hit the nail on the head. Also, for anyone planning to buy one, note that because the 3Ds has superior rendering abilities, old DS games may show up a tab blurry. You get used to it though, it's no reason not to get the console. |

I love it, but I get annoyed finding that sweet spot to view the 3d. Face Raiders is awesome, but it lags when you move the system around to shoot something... sometimes it feels like no matter how fast you turn, it shouldn't be keeping up with your turns as much as it does. I actually didn't buy any games with it at first, but I bought SF4 from amazon... so I'll be getting that soon. Edited by Havoc The Tenrec, Mar 29 2011, 09:34 PM.

i think the 3ds looks really neat. when to buy one is the real question. i may buy one when star fox 64 comes out. as far as i can see the paper mario title looks amazing even though there are only 5 screens. i also think its neat that the 3ds has a "mini" virtual console. *hoping for kirbys dreamland 2 and pokemon blue* a great idea for nintendo to look at would be to release the neo geo pocket color titles on the vc. there are plenty of games to put up such as metal slug, sonic pocket adventure, bust a move. |

I want one pretty bad right now, but I don't see that happening anytime here soon. LOL But I did try it out at Best Buy yesterday, and I must say I was very impressed! At first I thought they just payed all those people at E3, and Pax East to be all like "Woooooooah duuuuude!" but when I saw it I said the same thing. Normally in games though, you wouldn't notice a background, getting farther away from you, but on this system, you notice it. The further you get from the background, the further away from the screen it is. It was also cool, when everything went off screen, it felt as if, it was popping out at you, which was very cool. While I didn't bother to use the D-Pad, the Circle Pad, I must say works very well, and is much better than the one on it's competitor (I'm looking at you PSP). It felt pretty good in my hands too, and I think I could deal with the smaller screen, as I've gotten used to the XL in recent times. Overall I was just very impressed, and can't wait for the future games to come out for it, especially Ocarina. I can't wait to see how exactly that turns out! Edited by Terios, Mar 30 2011, 07:52 AM.

I've heard reports of people getting headaches from the 3D mode, and even more daft people saying "derp turn 3D off". Why would I buy a 3D console, and then NOT use 3D? Stupid idiots.... But overall, I'm not terribly impressed. It has a nice gimmick, it's packed out with toys, and will be #1 on all pikey hit-lists over the coming months. |

Apparently Nintendo's next handheld, will not have the 3D feature 3DS has. Apparently far too many complaints with headaches, and peoples eyes. Oh well. 3D consoles were fun while they lasted. :/ |

yeah i got a headache playing my cousins. i get this feeling this thing will just eventually die out after its major releases have been...released. sort of like the n gage. god i loved that thing. |

Um, I doubt they are already far enough in the planning stages of their next handheld to even know what it's going to have. Idk though, and I doubt that many have had complaints as they did do testing and had testers use it. If it was there were major complaints they would have heard about them in their testing. Maybe handhelds won't be 3D anymore but I can guarantee you that consoles will stay 3D. PS3 keeps getting 3D games and the next gen of consoles will likely have 3D as well as eventually all HDTVs will be 3D. |

I'm just saying that's what I heard. I'm not saying it's true or anything, as I know that not all sources are reliable (as it is a fellow YouTuber I got this info from), and I'm not believing it as the 3DS has sold well so far. But Reggie has hinted at a redesign of the 3DS, but we don't know if they're even designing it yet. |

They're probably playing the game for way too long, which is easy to do with a new console, especially one that promises 3D, which has somehow stepped out of the 80's and became super-popular again. |

A valid point, indeed. But surely Nintendo would have tested this out before releasing to the general public, it's not like them to skim on quality control processes. I'm hearing there might be a product recall on the cards, can anyone c/d this at all? It's probably just a rumour because I received it via word of mouth... |

I refused to get one, the lack of "region free" annoyed me, the 3D on it is most unimpressive (I had to demo it in work for a day and pretend to love it) it gives you migraines and we've been told to tell customers not to buy it for children under eight because it can damage their vision! Oh and people prone to headaches are meant to play for half an hour then take a fifteen minute break then play again or else it causes eye-strain and migraines (all the health and safety crap I need to learn working in that company to tell customers!). It's a pointless console really and most unimpressive, way to cash in on the latest "fad" Nintendo. And I couldn't agree more with MoD it does say that you can always turn off the 3D if your head or eyes hurt but what's the point in having a 3D console to turn that off? My eyes ended up blood shot and painful after... what was it... fifteen minutes of demo-ing Super Street Fighter and Ghost Recon or whatever it was, most unimpressive console and it's so damn expensive, hardly any stock has been sold where I work, dunno about elsewhere though. |
