Angel Island Act 2 Posts: 74 Group: D Rank Adventurer Member #11,899 Joined: March 8, 2011	Before he was Professor X, he was just Charlies! This is the movie I've been waiting for! Well more of the story I'm waiting for! We finally get to see what made these two friends turn on each other and how X-Men and The Brotherhood were born! Enjoy! X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

I'm sure I'll give this a watch at some point. Watched X-Men Origins Wolverine again the other day and I still enjoy that. Should enjoy this one more though since it's about my all time favourite character in the series; Magneto. \|D

Show...Off Posts: 4,912 Group: Former Monarchs Member #70 Joined: May 12, 2006	I was really "meh" when I first heard about this movie, everything just seemed off. But then I saw the trailer... That was epic. Charles & Magneto seem like they're just going to be amazing in this. They picked great talented actors for those two roles. I'm definitely looking forward to this just for them. I wonder if we'll be seeing any other mutants pop up that they haven't announced. That'd be a great surprise.

Micheal Fassbender (Eric/Magneto) stole the show in this, as well as James Mcavoy as Professor X. This was just an all around awesome film. But Magneto=FTW! 9/10

Forgot there was a topic for this movie. I, for one, am pretty excited for this movie. I was always a fan of X-Men and it would be real nice to see where it all started. Looks like a good one.

Most of the cast are great, except Jaunuary Jones as Emma Frost (Blonde with white "dress'0 She was very bland as the character. Some of the effects were a little iffy, but this film probably didn't have a very big budget. Can't praise Micheal Fassbender enough for his role as Magneto! Don't bother staying after the credits, their is no end-credit scene. You should have heard the boo's when everyone waited and there was nothing. WE WANTED MOAR! This is the only time I've heard the audience clap after a movie, aside from The Dark Knight. I'd also like to say the soundtrack is phenomenal. Especially the song called "Magneto" And I'm really not sure what you would call this. It's kinda a prequel, but I can see this being a great jump start for a reboot. They give hints to other stuff in previous X-films. Also, their's an awesome cameo by a certain mutant I won't mention Everyone loved it! Edited by Vermillion, Jun 4 2011, 03:41 PM.

I enjoyed the movie from start to finish. It had a good balance of seriousness, emotion and [most importantly] humor. Worth watching.

Yeah I honestly enjoyed this more than Thor. I agree, it flowed very well. How can you not LOVE Magneto's theme? Magneto's Theme Frankenstien's Monster SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD. I'd also like to say that one of my favorite scenes in the movie is when Eric is in the bar talking to those Nazi's. That whole sequence one of the best in Comic Book Movie history. The music, the emotion, everything was perfect. And when He rips through the Submarine with the chain, HOLY CRAP that was awesome. And when Charles helps Eric move the satellite. Green Lantern does have some competition for best CBM this year. I honestly think it will be the best, but my opinion is slightly biased, since GL is my favorite DC hero. It was just something that bugged me long after the scene was over. I just kept thinking about if I ever heard about him not aging. But its pretty clear now.
