It's probobly not news to you all, but there has been a devistating earrhquake in the pacific, and Japan has suffered. Many of us wish them the best, but major companies, specifically video game companies based in japan, have decided to help out too. Sega has been selling iPhone Applications for a while. Sonic 4:Episode 1 was released on the app store, along with some classic titles. Well, sega has not only lowered the price of these games, but decided to donate the profit.
So if you have an iDevice and want to help out a bit, and scoop up some retro games while your at it, make sure to go get some sonic apps. Oh, and if you're a street fighter fan, CAPCOM is doing the same thing. |

You kidding!? I had to shell out a ten spot for that! *missing the point* Oh, well good to know Sega's doing what they can to help, this also gives a lot of ipod users a way to help. I wish I could buy Sonic 1 and 2 to help myself. Unfortunately I can't right now. |

If this was for everywhere I would buy them all up in a flash. Even the ones I already own. But I don't have an I-device. |

Lava Reef Act 1

ohlol. Yeah, Sonic 4 was a... not so good game. And I really don't wanna say that since I haven't played the whole game yet, but from what I've heard, the rest of the game is still pretty crappy. :/ |

Sausage fingers? By that, do you mean fat? I'm one of the skinniest people you'll meet. And the controls still bug the hell out of me. |: |

No, I just meant really big fingers. I'd be the last one to call someone fat. xD Even so, I dont find anything wrong with the controls, its how close together the d-pad is that causes problems. Anyway, so I dont veer off topic, I didnt know sonic spinball was on the app store, thats kinda weird. |

Wow, I wonder if any anime companies might do something like this. You've got to hand it to Japan, however, they can always find ways to pick up the pieces when something like this happens. Even though their country is so small, they're so resourceful that they can get through a lot of different crises. It's pretty cool that Sonic Spinball is only a dollar now, that was one of my favorite Genesis games. |

Angel Island Act 2

Ah, too bad I don't have an iPod or I'd totally buy some of these games. Not just that they are Sonic but I'd be helping Japan. But since I knew about this news I've asked all my friends with iPods if they have any Sonic games yet and if they don't. That it's the time to buy now. I still don't see Nintendo doing anything to help.

It's very nice to see Sega (and other companies) doing their part to help the relief. Currently, Sega of America is holding ebay auctions featuring some very rare merch... including the infamous Soniclock! ![]() http://shop.ebay.com/segaamerica/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562 Charity as you truly imagined it... |
