Discuss why you chose the username you did, or why it is what it is right now. At the moment, I'm Roxie, based on my Scott Pilgrim theme at the moment. (Which wasn't actualy bandwagon) As I said before, I have this theme because I'm looking for the right picture to swipe me off my feet for my other theme.

I was falsely accused of something about 4 or 5 years ago, which I'm still struggling to come to terms with from time to time. An idea I came upon at the time was to embrace the depression and well... master the darkness, within me. Hence Master of Darkness. The tm's just a bit of shits and giggles to spice it up a little. Mostly there now in case anyone's wondering, but I still have the odd bad day where I just want to be on my own - but for the most part, I've conquered the inner darkness thing commonly referred to as depression. I keep the name partially because that's what everyone knows me as, and partially as a reminder of times that were very bad. You know how people say "it could be worse"? I just think back to those times, and then smile that they're not these times. Having the name keeps me happy, basically. Edit: the current one is to annoy Ereki, who seems quite upset at the prospect of a Char Aznable being present on the board... :3 Old, but MoD you name just happens to be the same way Deadpool gained his alias. Here Wiki Wade Wilson was dying from cancer when the Weapon X program offered him a chance for a cure. Undergoing procedures which attempted to recreate the healing factor of Weapon X (aka Wolverine), Wilson's cancer went into overdrive, scarring him externally and neurologically. Wilson was left in a near-catatonic state; he was deemed a failure and was sent to a facility where rejects of the Weapon Plus program were locked away. While there, he became the subject of betting among the other inmates in what was known as the dead pool. In this game, the inmates gambled on whom the warden would kill next; Wilson had been chosen as a test subject for the warden's various experiments and was given high odds for death. Wilson survived, however; eventually the healing factor manifested itself and, though still scarred and insane, he mustered enough lucidity to escape. It was my gf's idea for us to have our names matching, as Peanut likes Grape and a lot of people are into shipping those two. So I picked a somewhat unknown alternate name for Metal Sonic(at least in the comics) which is Metallix. I changed it to Neo Metallix later because Neo Metal Sonic is cool. haha

In the end I decided to give myself a title from the Pok�mon games and use that with my name. I went with 'Hiker Chaos' since a) most Hikers in the game use Ground-types and b) that's my actual title in Black. \|P Hm... maybe I should have been 'Gentleman Chaos' in stead. Oh well. shrugs

Rather than explain the peccary and Buta (all in good time,) I'll expand on the naming behind the OC which led to, well, Shrikeswind. The shrike is a bird, smaller than a crow but vicious as a hawk. Among their characteristics is that they skewer prey to hold it in place while eating or just to cache it, earning them the nickname "Butcher bird." I have a bit of a fascination with them, which at one point led me to create a character based on them. Time evolved the look and abilities of the character, including, at a notable point when I started using it, wind powers, which evolved the name, essentially, "Shrike's Wind." The wind fell out and he since developed other powers from jokes I made that I liked, including his ~~EMP Launcher~~ ~~Ion Cannon~~ electrokinesis, but certain aspects, such as a grappler and a large knife (eventually twin sabers) were there from inception. But why did I keep "Wind?" Well, when you've been using a name for 6 years, it's gonna stick like a grasshopper to a thorn.

Perfect Dark was a brand new game on the N64 back then, and I absolutely loved playing it. I also spent a lot of time hanging around GameFAQs. In one of the Area 51 levels, there was a minefield that you had to get through, with mines planted in specific places. I wanted to submit a map showing the locations of the mines to make it easier for people to get through there. It didn't get posted, but I figured I'd go with "Minesweeper" to match my first submission. Then around 2003 I decided I wanted to make my first Sonic fan character. Of course, that was Nail Strafer. I picked "Nail" because it borrowed from the first two letters of my real name (Nathan) and I picked Strafer because he was a very gun-centered character and you spend a lot of time strafing in first person shooters. Back in the day, I liked the name Kiki. No real reason. I was like ten years old or something; I didn't need a reason. :V Anyway, so I used the username Kiki_girl525 on Neopets. For a while, I was joining random guilds and leaving and joining others, et cetera... Then I found The Ice Cap. That was where I lost my fear of posting (I was extremely shy at the time), and I started getting to know the other people. That was where I met my first role model. I loved her stuff so much that I pretty much copied it - Twilight, one of my oldest characters, went from a shy, adorable fox-chick to a chick who took a lesson in BAMF because that's what my idol's character was like. Eventually I went on Smackjeeves and deviantART... I left the former a while ago, but it's how I know Zed and Yves and stuff. Shortly before leaving SJ, I started drifting away from my old hobby (spriting) and focusing more on drawing. That was when it dawned on me that I was just being an annoying little copycat. I changed my name to Kiara because of all the changes I was making to myself and my characters. I picked the name because I like it :V Sometimes I consider changing it to my real name, Robyn... but everyone's so used to Kiara now I don't want to change it. xD

I loved that game and I'm still kinda sad I've sold it, but yeah. I always thought Pianta's were kinda cute and the name itself is cute as well, and I love cute stuff. Would be fitting. xD A few years back I figured it needed to be longer, so I added Pink in there. Because it's my favorite color, dahh. But I removed it and I like it much better now. Not like I use it much anymore, foruming doens't interest me as much as before, sooo yeah.
