Im sorry but EVERY single person on this board having one username color just doesn't feel right and is going to be a little bit confusing when your trying to find someone on the active users list. We used to set ourselves apart from other forums out there with our many different colors but now were pretty much like everyone else out there: all members having one default color which lets face it, isnt very unique.

I can understand that some people using some skins may have some difficulty with certain name colors but like others have suggested, if it is that big of a deal couldn't they just change skins? This kind of drastic change obviously isnt fitting for a large number of the folks here. We've gotten so used to the colors and while we CAN adjust I just think it would be easier to go back to the way it was. Honestly, this "fix" seems to be causing more problems then its trying to get rid of.

Secondly, I find it a bit hypocritical that some of the members here who are adversed to the username change are mad that Metallix did it without their consent, but have no problem telling the people who were complaining about the usernames clashing on different skins to put up or shut up and simply change to a skin that they may not even like in the first place. Seriously, way to be "fair."

Your argument isn't very good. Colors do not help you find members, it helps you find a group of members and it's not very hard to find someone in the list anyway. It was only really good for staff and every forum uses colors! Having different colors for usergroups is not unique in the slightest. I'd say the multiple amount of ranks based on Scores in Sonic games is unique though.

But whatever, you guys complain about certain usernames not being readable in certain skins and now you want it back. Don't complain to me if you can't read a username color then because you wanted it that way.

It's all well and good to complain about Metallix making decisions without your consent until the decision in question doesn't concern you. People here never asked for usernames that clashed with the skins; That was a decision Metallix made of his own volition. However, you were fine with it, and are willing to tell people in this topic to put up with it by changing skins. Well, guess what-- I don't want to have to change to a skin that I find ugly by virtue of the fact that I don't even use it because of a single aesthetic problem with the one I'm on. Either way, I'm stuck with something that isn't pleasing to look at in some way, rendering it into an utterly useless suggestion.

But ultimately, Metallix decided to rectify this perceived problem, but now that you're in the same boat as the people before you complaining about different usernames, now you want to cry despotism about how Metallix is supposedly stepping on the will of the people because he didn't consult you instead of simply dealing with it like you suggested the previous complainers should.

That's why you're being hypocritical.

So maybe my argument could've been a little more improved but alot of the other folks here are making some very good points, you cant deny that much. At the very least we should all try to figure out a reasonable solution, as a community, instead of having a bad solution dropped on us without any say on our parts. Like you said with the old way, people complained about not being able to see certain names due to the colors clashing with the skins. But just look, this is no better. If anything there may be MORE complaints than before. Maybe neither one should happen, but instead a middle ground reached that everyone could agree on.

I'm sad. I liked the colors. I know some of them clashed on skins, but I haven't found it too hard to decipher who was who.

Without wishing to sound aggressive about this, how did you come to the colours you're now settled on? I'm not complaining, merely wishing to understand the thought processes.
