So earlier last month we swore in a new governor. A Republican named John Kasich, who's a FOX News regular and former Chairman of the House Budget Committee during the Clinton years. He claims he balanced the U.S budget into the biggest surplus since '69. He sure as Hell doesn't seem to know how to balance the budget right now. Let's see, he wants the taxpayer to foot the bill to have the Ohio State Highway Patrol (which does executive protection duties) upgrade security for his personal, Westerville home and maintain protection of the official governor's mansion, which he isn't even going to use. He's made tons of money on Wall Street, so he can either pay for his own security or move into the official residence. Add in that he's going to try to bust Ohio unions. Steel, agriculture, education. Yep, all of it. They're going to lose their teeth (collective bargaining) if he gets his way. People are already saying that he needs to be kicked out, and I wholeheartedly agree with it. Ohio's been turning into a pit since his buddy Bob Taft screwed up what George Voinovich left for him and left Ted Strickland a steaming bag of crap. This is not the time for someone like him to dip into the state treasury for his own gains. Plain and simple. Either Kasich needs to go, or I need a time machine to throw my current self back to permanently live out the Voinovich and Clinton days. Time machine ain't very likely, so Kasich can GTFO. |
